I’m begging for help
I have been a paying Napster subscriber since the day paid service began and for years before that (I am probably a 20 year customer). Since your App upgrade I cannot sign on AND I cannot get help. Because I am an original subscriber, I have a user name only (not an email account). For years everything was great, but now sign on demands an email address. Of course Napster doesn’t recognize my email address and/or my password.
Repeated efforts to sign on and repeated efforts to contact Napster have all failed.

Charges without account
Have been trying to cancel my subscription for months now and the website claims I had a “free” account yet still charges my card $9.99 a month for an app I can’t use. Customer service is nonexistent. Never download this app.

Ridiculous bait and switch after YEARS
I have used Napster (then Rhapsody) for 15+ years, curated thousands of hours of playlists, and until late 2025 have enjoyed this service. But now it is no longer. In 2025 I started to notice that some artists were no longer supported and/or songs going missing without warning. Then the slow decline took a nose dive off a cliff after they completely, and without warning, transitioned from a streaming platform to ai “music” only. Complete disservice to loyal subscribers.
Oh, but they offer playlist porting you might say. Well, I’ll tell you that’s completely messed up right now too. I can sign into the app again just fine, but try and click the link for legacy playlists and using the same credentials, cannot log in.
Honestly I should thank Napster for making me realize how fragile media that is streaming only is. I’ve now begun to start curating my music playlists with physical media and offline downloads, so really, truly, shoutout to you guys for getting me off the streaming train and back into tangible pieces of music again.

Terrible waste of time, money and data. Stay away from this cesspool.
Beyond terrible
I’ve been a subscriber since the early 2000’s. Without notice the account is switched to only AI produced music. There is info saying you can map over your legacy playlists but this is not at all true. It takes you in a loop of error messages and locking out your account. If you pay ahead you’re SOL on getting any funds back if canceling before the subscription end time.
Atrocious
This new Napster is an absolute waste of time. The technology isn’t where it should be yet to charge people a monthly fee. In addition, I don’t think I’ve had a single song created by the AI artists. I’m curious as to how often this app delivers what it promises.
Playlist gone
Had so many playlist all gone I’ll never go back no hours and hours and hours of making playlist I was a customer since I was in my early 20’s way back rhapsody days I can never get them playlist back I wouldn’t use that app if it was free now
AI Garbage
I subscribed to Napster (then Rhapsody) in 2015 and have been building playlists since. Now it’s all but gone. i learned of the new business model when suddenly I couldn’t search for and play new music. I have since transferred my music to an ACTUAL MUSIC service and will be cancelling my subscription. Good luck with this ai slop, guys. :-| Why not just build a new app with a new brand? Oh, right.
Turned to AI JUNK

AI Garbage
I’m heartbroken by what Napster has become. I subscribed for decades, curated playlists, saved hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. Now it’s all gone, replaced by AI trash. They’ve kept on charging me even though the product I paid for is gone. I couldn’t even unsubscribe from my old account; I had to cancel the payment. This is absolutely atrocious, and the developers should be ashamed.
My music I had downloaded for 5+ years are all gone .

Rhapsody is dead
When you guys changed to the Napster brand and retired the desktop client, even though star ratings were no longer supported, you automatically created playlists for each of the star ratings. That was really cool. Contrast that with how you guys have handled the past 6 months or so, with Sony and everyone’s music disappearing. Imagine my surprise when I logged in for the first time in months. Not even an email about it - though you happily continued to collect my $10 every month. Your behavior as a company has been truly shameful.
Why?
I understand that you changed your business model. However, I paid for a year of the service I cannot use. Give me a prorated amount back for unused service.
Unable to Restore Service
I forgot my password! Reset link supposed to be sent to my email but I NEVER receive!! I hope Napster go out of business!! This company absolutely sucks big time!!
What Happened
My dad and I have used Napster/Rhapsody for the last 15+ years. I remember him plugging the radio adapter into the car for it. The new AI version of this company is disgusting and shameful.

Your idiot CEO destroyed this app. All music is gone. Downloads gone. Everything replaced by garbage AI stolen music. Canceling my subscription after 22 years. Unless Napster returns to the way it was I will not be returning. And I suggest everyone else leaves too

If you want to listen to music or create a playlist, this is not for you. I had Napster for years because of the ease and accessibility to search and create music lists. This is AI junk that has you create music and save it as your playlist. I will be cancelling and searching for a streaming service that has music I can listen to.
Hate the update
I’ve been using this app for years, probably around 15years and yes you guys change here and there but not like this. Lately tracks and artists been going missing and I just went on and my entire playlist is gone! Playlist I’ve had since I started in the early 2010s…..gone. I absolutely hate this update, especially since you change the entire thing.

Nothing but AI
I’ve had rhapsody for over 10 years. And just like that everything is gone. New update and interface are terrible and will gladly be using the music transfer to move to a different platform. That is if there even is anything to move over.
Napster will not provide support with signing into the App
I went from listening to limited access for the last 3 months to no access at all with the new app. The new app is rejecting my username and password, but I can log into the website homepage.
You cannot reach anyone by phone and the Help Chat section, responded with the typical troubleshooting response of click on the link to change password.
When I click on the link, it says thank you and I will receive a password reset email. It’s been over 24 hours and 3 password reset requests later and I still haven’t received any emails.
Sent a help support email and they responded with a statement of try to request the password reset email and if you have the same problem to reply with request assistance. I’ve done the request assistance 3 times and I no longer receive any form of feedback from Napster.

these guys just left me behind
what a switch up. ive been a customer for 20 yrs. dozens of playlists. and all of a sudden these guys go AI. without warning. sheisty. such a disappointment. napster left me.
Recent "upgrade"
This last update removed my favorites, and my playlists. It was impossible to log into my account or attach it, it looks like you have to pay in credits or something. After 10+ years of collecting music and paying a monthly subscription, I deleted my account and the app.

If u sign up with a hot dog vendor, and u expect your hot dog to be hot and delicious, then learn one day that that hotdog is no longer there like it’s been there for years, and the vendor just keeps taking your payments every month anyway, I feel the hot dog vendor failed on his side of the agreement. I actually feel like that vendor doesn’t even care about keeping you for a customer. But he doesn’t mind letting your money flow into his till.

Years of music gone.
Have paid for this for many years, since it was Rhapsody. Now the majority of my playlists are completely gone except for a few songs. They have no problem charging me every month though! Absolutely ridiculous!

You guy’s have virtually nothing that I listen to include a complete absence of a lot of big name artists. Whats even the point at this point? Woulda loved to pay for you guys with your artist compensation rates but hard to compensate an artist that isn’t even on your platform let alone get to listen to their music.

I have had the app since it was Rhapsody. Well over ten years. I used to absolutely love it! However, in the last month, most of the songs I have in my playlists have disappeared. I can’t listen to albums I have saved anymore. It’s a giant bummer. What am I paying for? Music I can’t listen to? I’m pretty unhappy.
Not worth it.
The app used to be good but now they remove music so frequently that my downloaded playlists only have 2-5 songs available to play where they used to be all 50-60. Switched to Spotify, this app isn’t good anymore.
Indoor music listener
I’ve been with rhapsody since before the merger and it’s definitely declined tremendously. Music is not there that once was. They’re usually one of the last to get new music. Will be unsubscribing as soon as I figure out my Apple password. Would have rated it a negative star if I could have.

Lost all my downloaded tracks with the recent update. No response from the developer! Sorry to see the decline in this app I have used faithfully for over 15 yrs.
App not working
For over two months I have not been able to use the app. I’ve updated, deleted it, reinstalled it. I keep getting playback canceled … skipping to the next track. Now the next track doesn’t even play. I’m getting ready to cancel and just use Spotify with my daughter. What’s going on!?!
Zero Stars should be an option.
This is the perfect app if you want to curate over 20+ years of music….only to have them not pay the artist licensing fees and have your playlists shrink by 90% with no notice.
