Sell a frame then change your terms
It hardly seems right to sell a frame and shortly thereafter, change the terms and want to charge people for putting their photos on the frames that you sold them. Add to that, it is the most cumbersome app I have ever used. Awful

Unable to upload most photos
I have switched tried everything to get this to work. Very frequent inability to upload. Worked great on Android but completely broken on iOS. Will be canceling my subscription.

I bought my frames because of free unlimited storage then after 5 years you changed the terms and locked many of my photos , holding them until I pay a subscription now . This is a dirty stunt to pull and you should do the right thing and grandfather everyone in before you changed your policy .
Scam
Company sold the frames promising unlimited storage on the frame. Switched to a pay model that even removed photos already added to the frame or were stored on the cloud. DO NOT BUY. Update- costumer service was contacted about the sync issue suggested and again told I needed to subscribe.
Terrible app
They want you to upgrade for more storage but it’s impossible to do on their app.
Liars
Where is the free cloud storage? Switching to 500mb of cloud storage is a joke. I won’t ever buy again any of your products and will do my best to steer away anyone I know from this unethical company.
Bait and switch
When I bought my frame I got 10 GB free storage. Now free storage is so small we cannot load new photos. Typical bait and switch to try and get you to pay for what was once free (in the cost of the original frame). They suck.

Disappointed in the new limits on the amount of photos I can store without paying more for it. I bought the frame because it allowed unlimited photos. Would not buy it again.

I bought this photo frame for my parents to share family photos who are not tech savvy. The company are now charging to display photos and dropping photos that are “too large to display”- changing their model. Who knows how long before they change their model again and charge more. Just avoid them!

Removing Features
They are removing your ability to have a connected Google Album unless you pay, as if the frame itself wasn’t already expensive enough.
They want me to update my review now, so here’s my update:
The ONLY reason I bought these frames was to have Google Photos connected & synced from afar for the grandparents who received them as gifts. They are useless now because I don’t have time to constantly, manually, update each. and. every. frame I got as a gift.

Photo viewing
Loved this nixplay until they wanted me to pay a yearly fee which I wouldn’t have minded until they locked my frame for going over the specified amount so now I can’t view photos I already have nor can I send photos to my friends and family. I have tried managing and deleting precious photos and it doesn’t change, Nixolay only wants you to pay to play. So my frame will be deleted, unplugged and put away. Not very happy with the nixplay company. No wonder there is a lawsuit. Buyer beware.

Must Buy Storage
Many family members have owned the Nixplay frames for many years, and have all enjoyed sharing photos with each other. Nixplay recently decided to make you purchase storage if you are going to share photos. Not worth it.
Avoid these products, just buy an SD card and regular digital frame
Spent over $600 on 4 frames that promised unlimited photo storage and after they walked that promise back, I’m required to either pay for a subscription just for these to operate or I’ve got 4 really expensive bricks. I’m just going to go back to loading some pictures an SD card and plugging them into some significantly cheaper digital frames because at least they can’t bait and switch me.

Cloud Storage Limits
Previously promised free storage was revoked, making the frame useless unless I pay more. Thanks for holding us hostage
There is a class action lawsuit for a reason…
Basically a piece of junk unless you accept the changed service level/terms and associated costs that were not in place at the time of purchase.
Not user friendly
It isn’t intuitive to set up nor does it use plain language (causes things camera rolls that you create on the app or you have to create a frame or create an album and you have to do it a certain order), cant drag and drop, cant bulk upload, difficult to get photos off app on pac and you can only use one frame per account owner or you are forever linked to someone else’s shared album.

This frame was great until they forced subscription to view pictures.

You get a small amount, but it is nothing compared to what you paid for when you bought this frame
Therr are other companies out there that provide unlimited storage. I would recommend them highly over this one.

No connection, no help
Nixplay frame won’t connect to my app and the helpline is nonexistent

I’ve used a Nixplay frame for years and currently pay for the Plus plan. Recently the mobile app no longer allows editing photos during upload (crop/rotate/adjust). The option simply disappeared.
Uploads still work, but auto-fitting ruins many photos, which defeats the purpose of a digital frame meant for sharing family pictures.
I contacted support over a week ago and never received a response. Live chat sessions disconnect without help.
If this feature was intentionally removed, subscribers should have been notified. If it’s a bug, support should respond.

Not Opening
Brings me to the login page, and I entered my credentials correctly. It just spins and spins and spins and spins. I uninstalled and reinstalled and then even put in my credentials incorrectly to test. It immediately told me I had the incorrect credentials. I put in the correct ones again and it just spins and spins and spins and spins.
Want me to pay to send pictures
I don’t even own a frame my grandma does and I was trying to send her some pictures from a family event and it tells me I am over my storage and have to pay to send her pictures she already pays for storage of her pictures so why do I need to pay too talk about double dipping I am going to shop for a different frame that allows sharing but doesn’t double dip on pictures! Find a different brand!!!
Forced to use online service
I’m not happy about the fact that they force you to use their app which links to their servers resulting in all my photos having to go through their servers just so I can get it on the picture frame that I paid for and own.
Needless to say, they’re likely doing data harvesting, and now have access to all my private personal photos if I were to use their app
This is a blatant overreach and a privacy concern. Gonna have to return your garbage product.
