No customer support
The information about customer support on the website is from 3 years ago and says to use the app. When you use the app it send you right back into the website from three years ago. They advertise 24/7 support and then make it impossible to get to.

Devices disappear
App worked flawlessly for about the first 3 weeks, then all connected devices disappeared. They are visible when accessing the ONT/router via web, but not in the app. Only MAC addresses appear for usage. Thought would be fixed with latest update…nope! Very disappointed!

Horrible Nokia Beacon g6
I just had fiber internet installed less than 6 hours ago, and was given the Nokia Beacon g6. The device itself seems fine, however, the app is completely garbage. I was in the app completely fine, and left it temporarily, I went to use the app about 4 hours later to install another beacon to put closer to my garage to get my security cameras back up online. The app just keeps telling me that I have NO internet and that I need to connect to the internet. Except, I have internet, I contacted my provider to confirm as well, it’s connected to ALL my devices except for the ones on my garage as I can’t add a new beacon nor change my passwords and network name being the APP doesn’t work. I was given the number from my provider to contact Nokia but they are in FINLAND, so I would have to add international calling, which I refuse to do as it costs too much, not to mention time zone issues!!!! This has been a nightmare!! Nokia used to be so good, wth happened?!

Unfortunately this product is hobbled by the software
App is very limited. Single unit setup worked fine, but the wifi mesh provides lower performance, much lower. Positioning and setup of additional unit is frustrating. I ended up using another switch to have all of the Beacons connected over Ethernet backhaul which performs well. I have found that moving about the house, sometimes the connection will not switch between Beacons (e.g. going upstairs to downstairs) so I turn off and turn back on wifi. The software is extremely limited and it appears there are no updates planned. No bridge mode, no ability to rename devices. What I would call standard features for any system I have owned in the last 10-15 years. Support is non-existent and they are obviously given the job of pushing all support tickets away (I.e. get support where you bought it from) even though I bought these units NEW from an online store. Very very disappointing, and the software hobbled what would otherwise be a great product. All of the high star reviews appear to be from a Click Farm as they have limited supporting commentary for their rating.

Good when working but rarely working
The Nokia Wifi app is great for managing wifi when it’s actually working.. however, whenever I come back to my home and open it, it’s unconfigured; forcing me to scan the QR code beneath my router and go through the whole setup to get it running. It also doesn’t allow me to create an account, meaning I have no way of logging in remotely. Apparently account creation ability was left to the discretion of service providers, which makes no sense whatsoever. I would give 5 stars if there weren’t these bugs because the app itself when logged in and working is great.

Horrible application
Very poorly executed application and network. 1. Wifi is weak. 2. Application is buggy - some days i see no devices or wifi points in the app, but the devices are connected when i go to the router’s IP address.

Worthless
Actually, when the app worked if was fine. It was easy to set up and use. The problem is that it doesn’t want to stay working. A week after installing and using the app I got the message “Can’t find your Nokia device. You must be connected to your Nokia WiFi network to use this app. Please check your WiFi settings on your phone.”
Oddly enough the WiFi settings on my phone say that I am on my Nokia WiFi.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling app. That doesn’t work. The only way to get app working again is to turn off Nokia device and to turn it back on. This seems like a ridiculous way to get an app to work.

Trash app and support
You better hope this app works for you the first time, if not, Nokia’s support provides zero help, trying instead to push you off on the place you got the router.
My experience with the app is that it freezes at the screen where you add your router and would not progress. There is no next button or way to move on. Despite this clearly being a problem with the application itself, Nokia provided no support.

Disgraceful and useless
App update has broken the ability to manage the FastMile 5G gateway despite still asking to sign the QR code on the FastMile on setup!!
Support refuse to help stating they only support the Beacons and I should contact Optus for help. Newsflash Nokia. The issue is with the app not the modem. Who supplies the app? Go on... guess... NOKIA. 100% Optus will say contact Nokia for support for the app as Nokia makes the app. Support staff was rude and useless. App is now useless.
Reply to dev. Do you actually know how your app works?? How else would I know that I can no longer manage my network unless I already LOGGED IN. Sheesh. Talk about a half hearted effort at support

Help
Having 4 teens in my house, this app was awesome...at first. I had the ability to turn off their phones and laptops at bedtime and during homework. It was the best thing ever to parents....
But it has stopped working. First it was if it turned on cell phone off, it shut down all devices. Now I can’t turn any off. I have sent chats on the app, no response. Can anyone on here help?! It’s a pain to have to collect cell phones and laptops every night. I have also deleted the app several times and downloaded again. HELP please!?

Terrible
I installed two Beacon 1 routers yesterday. Using the app and getting the network setup was straight forward. Today I can’t login to the App. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling a couple of times, and nothing.
I tried using the Nokia support through the website. Did not get any immediate response and as of 8 hours since still have received zero communication from Nokia.
At least the WiFi is still up.

Setup worked but later can’t use the app
The setup of the WIFI using the APP worked well. However, I cannot use the APP to make changes or check on any network status. The APP always claims it cannot find the Nokia WiFi device. The manual claims that if the network was already setup then the WiFi device may be Offline. Seems dumb since I am using the WiFi. The APP might assume SSID is unchanged. I changed my SSID and it does not have Nokia in the name. The network is up but I can’t do any changes or access any useful information.

What’s the point of having parental control features if users can’t even access them? This bug should have been caught before release.

CONS: Requirement to login to the app frequently, sometimes each time it’s opened. Needs to be able to allow FaceID to authenticate the user instead. Once in the app it takes far too long to load up your network to allow you to view and manage it. The sign in process at the login prompt also takes far too long to process once credentials are entered. I haven’t had success logging into and using the app outside of home. This is a feature that works very well with Comcast Xfinity app.
Future update request: I’d like to be able to drill down to each specific device from within the app to view/test performance per node/beacon. Also, would be more helpful if the Network would provide more useful meta data about the devices that are connected (i.e. Manufacturer name/brand and better device type descriptions). This last feature request is something that Comcast Xfinity xfi modem router is already capable of providing to the network administrator/homeowner.

Frequently disconnects
The app disconnects from the network about half the time I use it even though the network is working fine. When it works it’s ok. But it often disconnects in the middle of an operation, very frustrating!!!

Devices don’t show up
Just got fiber internet and installed the app. My main complaint is that it will not show what devices are connected to my network under the “Devices” section. This is such a basic and essential part of a router app. Devices show up in the WebGUI and in the Data Usage section of the app, but being unable to see them in the Devices section limits my ability to edit and monitor devices easily.
The Help section is useless and they don’t offer online chat support (it appears) despite their website giving instructions on how to access it.
I expected a downgrade from my ASUS router any time your forced to use an ISP one, but this is pretty awful so far.

This app is NOT user friendly
Horribly unfriendly from an end user standpoint. When new devices connect it doesn’t even give you an inkling of what it is. The last app I used for a WiFi device it would at least say it was a TV or a game system or something to that effect. This tells you 63:68:45:23 connected to your device. And when there is multiple that connect at once like I did when I migrated its nearly impossible to figure them out. Which makes the groupings and possible parental control nearly useless. And the groupings are also not ideal. First, my app appears to be on eastern time zone and I can not change it. Second, you can’t seem to reassign a device to a group. Once you make a decision, thats your only option apparently or you delete the whole group and start over. If anyone knows how to fix the things I’ve mentioned please let me know as I am beyond frustrated with the uselessness of this app!

Faulty new version
The new update doesn’t work. It cannot locate the network, that the old version of the app was used to set up. Consequently it won’t allow me to log in. It was good. Now the app is completely useless.
