I tried to just create a simple set of notes with 4 tabs just to keep it simple and learn on, once I went to the page I wanted to copy from my notes template disappeared, I tried to google what happened and even tried to search for the title I created, but is was gone.. If the app can’t hold 1 simple note, it’s going to be more of a hassle to use it than I want to deal with.. I’ll just move back to my iPhone notes, at least I know where things are.

Complete waste of memory. Janky UI, icons that don’t work when you click them, and overall a frustrating, and annoying waste of time and energy. I wish I could rate it no stars. Do better.

It charges you without permission.
It automatically switches you to a plan that pays and charges you without permission for years. Truly toxic and can’t get a support for refund. Really toxic app.
Wish it didn’t have AI
Had to delete because of the AI. Obviously AI is not only terrible for the environment (uses so much water without recycling it) and contributes to cognitive decline (our brains need to stretch and work doing even “simple” things to build and maintain key neural pathways), it’s also a massive security risk AND the generative aspect of it straight up just doesn’t work, like you end up typing like four or five prompts in and faffing about refining the result that it would have taken less time just to write whatever you were trying to make the AI write. As much as I hate AI, I really really loved Notion and I would have kept it if they’d have some option for toggling off the AI features. They’re just really obtrusive and obnoxious for how useless/harmful they are, like I don’t want an AI assistant helping me write and stealing my content. But rather than remove or add an off-switch, the developers just kept cramming more AI slop in there, so I’ve had to delete it. It’s such a crying shame. I recalled loved Notion. I’d come back in a heartbeat if they ditched the AI slop.

Useless if you plan on using voice to text
The voice to text functionality of the app continually degrades overtime. It simply cannot function for taking notes in this method as it will do a terrible job at detecting the proper words, that is if you get to keep the words after you are done with your prompt. You will literally see the words be removed when you are finished right in front of your eyes.
This is nothing new, and has been common for a little over two years, and I have simply stopped using Notion on my devices because it may be a powerful tool, but for brainstorming it is completely useless when trying to use voice to text.

Ever since they updated the app, I have not been able to get into my notes. I don’t know what they did, but they need to fix it because I have important notes that I know for a fact I saved. And this app is ai-powered? Yikes.
WIPED ACCOUNT
I have been using notion for years. I thought the app was great UNTIL my entire account data had been wiped. All of my notes, planners, tracked volunteer hours, and more are completely lost.
Mandatory AI features
Not everyone uses notions AI features. Having an unremovable “Ask AI” text box taking up screen real estate is annoying!

Won’t be using any apps that support the ghouls of AI companies. We are fighting data centers so we can have drinkable water and Notion is profiting off them.

I loved Notion on my Mac and pc but this app is unusable. Times out constantly. Visual glitches galore. I can’t understand how such an app has such low polish when it comes to native apps.

Worst app I've ever used on phone. Every time I open my weekly to do list, the page refreshes and refreshes when I try to modify ANYTHING. it's driving me insane.

AI search bar
There is a big obtrusive AI search bar at the bottom that I’m always accidentally pressing when going in between apps on my phone. There isn’t even an option to disable it… I just want old Notion back before the “big AI bang”. I will be finding an alternative now.
Headed the Wrong Way
The Notion decision makers seem to have little respect for their customers. Despite having five paid Notion accounts, the app has a huge Notion AI search bar at the bottom that we cannot remove. This bar replaces the actual search bar, moving it to be a bottom left corner icon.
Love Notion but the app is garbage
Desktop notion = awesome. App = constantly crashing, not showing content.

Almost no point in using the mobile version. Every time I use the app and I mean every single time it lags, crashes or constantly refreshes. Instead of them focusing on doing ONE thing GREAT, they’re are starting to DO EVERYTHING BAD, trying to keep up with out do emerging and established competitors! It seems these pain points fall upon death easily because it’s been months and still no improvements.

This is not user friendly unless you happen to be a coder. Waste of way too much time trying to figure out how to work it without a degree in programming.

I am not a power user (like,I guess your target audience) but could you just make an easy mode that strips down all the enormous amount of options and features and tweaks. Just a way to add a simple todo list like tasks or Apple reminders; add notes (pages) in a simple way.
Later maybe newb users like me would switch off easy mode and use the whole thing. But dang it would be nice for when you have are just switching over to get started. I downloaded a 3rd party app just to have a normal todo list.
And yes. I know you have a long list of how to learn to use your system check boxes. But sheesh, hard to carve out time in the middle of a normal work week.
Just a suggestion from us more simple folk. Ha!
Oh and a quick note/todo add widget would be nice.

Pages don’t open 90% of the time when clicked
I paid for the higher plan and this happens 90% of the time. You either have to wait, click back and forth, relaunch a bunch of times for it to maybe work. Incredibly frustrating.

While customer support is fast, it’s likely a bot coz they don’t seem to understand the issue and mostly just kicks it to “engineering” without any workarounds or understanding.
Worst thing is: you prepay for the subscription and even if you don’t like it, it doesn’t work, you can’t get a refund not even a partial.

Very buggy and hard to use on my iPhone
Frequent page refreshes and inability to type, as well as lag, started plagueing my mobile version on iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's a shame as I organize my second brain on Notion, but it's becoming unworkable and I'm moving to another platform.
Most bugs of any app I have
Used to love this app and told so many people about how great it is. Now it is circling the drain. Both the mobile app and my desktop app are constantly glitching, freezing, and crashing. The “Continue writing” AI feature was gold, but now it only makes an appearance in my app every blue moon. Looking for alternatives because I can’t keep paying for something this glitchy.
iPad app mostly unusable
This app used to be my go to. I use for Notion for my work as a DoP and need the app when away from my desk. For the past few months I’m getting 50/50 functionality from the app and it’s super frustrating. I’m looking for an alternative solution for myself and my team.
Good app, Bad updates
I actually love this apps. But they keep making updates to fix bugs. Not only do they not fix the bugs but they add new ones. I’m considering buying a subscription but not if these bad updates continues.
Each update fixes some breaks others
The latest update left my iPhone 12 Pro Max unable to let me to change the cover image. The change cover page crashes just as the change cover page appears.

Just noticed that I, a paying Notion Plus subscriber can no longer use Notion AI. Welp, I’m definitely not going to use Notion AI now that I have to upgrade and pay more than 4 times what I normally pay yearly. And you can’t turn it off or even hide it! Everyone knows AI is very flawed and yet these tech companies want to charge so much for it! And anyone who uses Notion knows how flawed it is, which makes it all the more frustrating. It’s got a truly great structure to it making it incredibly versatile, but it’s like a plane with small wings and no engines. But hey, you can pay for a somewhat dim flight attendant.

Every time I load the page with images in it I have to scroll up and down again. The white screen may not seem like much but it’s annoying in dim light or when updating a journal in bed at night with the lights out. Been using Notion for 8 months now and am kind of surprised this hasn’t been fixed yet.
My original review: it really needs a few things-most importantly, encryption for us poor folks. It looks like you have to be an enterprise customer to get anything resembling actual privacy and it’s unclear what you get is encryption. We live in a time where our data is making people tons of money. I’d rather they not make money off of my notes and my used habits. Also, this needs the same notes graph/map/diagram thingy that a few Notion competitors have that allows you to visualize how all of your notes are related to each other. It is such a cool and helpful way to see the big picture on your projects! The third thing I think it needs is just a slightly better UI. It does a lot but it can be pretty challenging to navigate/find everything. I haven’t checked yet but I suspect that YouTube is the user’s friend along these lines. Otherwise, Notion is a fricken Swiss Army Knife app-you can literally keep a journal, a journal within a journal, a wiki, multiple wikis, I can’t even list all the templates this thing has. It’s really nuts how much you can do with Notion! I just wish it had encryption and the other couple things it’s competition has.

i have loved your app for years but it’s often unusable the last few days. i get you wanting to roll out ai features, but don’t sacrifice stability so much or i’ll migrate elsewhere.

i loved this app for so long. now when i try to click on anything, it just doesn't work. like a grey screen with that ai bar at the bottom. i don't understand why it won't work still. :(

Good App, Very Glitchy
I hate using the notes app, and notion is a nice alternative to jot down quick notes or practice writing in. However, I do want to see some important in terms of better handling of large documents. Every time I seem to write a lot, it’s so glitchy to the point I can’t write in it anymore, nor copy and paste to a different page.
Still super buggy on heavier pages
