I downloaded this app and signed up for a year of service with high hopes.
Simply creating an account was a night . Account set up required a code sent by email and allowed only 60 seconds to enter it before requiring a new code. But the email with the code usually wouldn’t arrive for three or four minutes.
I finally got an account set up and recorded my first meeting. But the audio will not sync to the cloud and, thus, none of the features are available.
I went through the troubleshooting steps I found on their website. None of them worked. So I tried the last resort, which was to delete the app and reinstall it. I reinstall the app but it will not login. I keep getting an error message.
Meanwhile, from what I could tell of the app when I could access it, it is very poorly designed. For example, some of the drop-down options are unreadable. All you can see are the first few letters, but no idea what the option actually says. It is just a complete failure of design.
So far, I could not be more disappointed in this purchase. Since it does not seem to work, I trust that I can cancel the subscription and get a full refund.

It must've been transcribing somebody else's song because you had nothing to do with what I was having a transcribe

Absolute theft
I downloaded this app just to try it out. I recorded a 10 minute recording and wanted to transcribe it. The app says it allows you to transcribe up to 120 minutes of audio for free, but that is in TOTAL, each recording can only be 2 minutes which is nothing. This app doesnt work as well as people say. I wanted to just try it out. Instead it locked me out of my audio recording, wouldn’t let me export audio to use another app without paying their outrageous $70/year subscription UP FRONT!!! No free trial. ABSOLUTE SCAM OF AN APP, try another app that works better and has better ethical standards!
Waste of money
Transcription was all wrong. I tried to use it for very important meetings and it didn’t understand anything that was said. The notes made no sense at all. You’re better off just using ChatGPT for transcription

Transcript is VERY short compared to actual lecture I wanted written. Some items are not transcribed properly.
Apps are buggy and certain functions won’t work
I am a bilingual speaker and need to switch transcription languages between different audios.
I changed the language setting each time however the transcriptions are still the same language.
I brought this problem to support team many times however it never get resolved. So frustrated about it.

Notta.ai has deceptive billing practices. I canceled before my trial ended, yet was charged for a full year with no warning or refund option. The cancellation process is confusing, and customer support is unhelpful. Feels like a trap, avoid.
Transcription didn’t work
I purchased this for a meeting so I would have notes and on demand transcription and it didn’t work in the meeting despite me testing it several times beforehand before I purchased the subscription.

I paid for the full subscription and the app is telling me that I did not and keep sending me in a cycle of signing up for the subscription, but not downloading the full transcript and now I lost all of my meeting notes

Paused after 20 seconds during an important phone call. It’s why I got this. If it doesn’t work right, it’s worthless. What a shame.

Not Good
This company falls short on both execution of a functioning product and their ability to get access to troubleshooting problems. The app doesn’t let you separately identify which speaker is talking and there was no way for me to reach out to a rep to troubleshoot. I also went on the web app to see if I could get the task done on my computer, but there was an error on that page for 3 days preventing me from doing anything. Unfortunately, I have cancelled my subscription and requested a refund from their home page.

Probably malware
After correctly transcribing 30 seconds of Cantonese, it refused to do the rest, claiming first it couldn’t see it, then that it doesn’t know Cantonese. Cantonese is of course one of the languages offered and it already did some. Makes no sense, likely malicious and stealing information.

UTTER GARBAGE
Downloaded app to translate audio in a German Instagram post - I recorded the screen and uploaded the 34 second video. It gave a useless one sentence non-sense.
This app is garbage. I immediately cancelled the $114/year subscription because it’s the only way to get a 3 day free trial.

Shady Company and Worst App
BEWARE. This company continues to charge you even after you have expressed a desire to cancel the subscription. They have the worst customer service and they deliberately try to trick you into subscribing
Disappointing product, overly expensive
After having paid $100 for a full year subscription, I discovered that the transcription is extremely slow, at times it does not work at all. I also discovered that there are other services that are completely free and that do a much, much better job!
Non-Existent customer service
No access to my account I paid for. Essentially, you're stuck in a loop where you need the password to access your account, but you can't get the password without first logging in. It's a complete failure of insight and a result of developers relying on quick success to make money. It's frustrating and disappointing.
Scam subscription model
This app resets into an automatically renewing mode for a year subscription for $99 that bypasses the protections offered by the Apple App Store. I tried to get the auto renew reversed but their support simply ignores all my messages. I very much regret trying it.
Non-existent Customer Service
I purchased the Notta app in order to translate and transcribe meetings from Spanish to English in real time. I tested out the feature, which was great. I subscribed to the pro plan service. Thereafter each time I tried to use the live translate feature. It said that I was out of the quota and then it would renew the next month. I purchase scription and have not been able to use a single one for translation. I sent them an email with no response after two weeks and sent them another email with no response to date. The app or other evident way of getting in touch with them very disappointing.
Subscribed to free trial
Cancelling before I even hit 10 minutes. My account wasn’t activated on the app as pro, so I still can’t access the full transcription of my 5 minutes audio without subscribing to pro with actual cash. The whole approach of charging for transcription beyond x recording length + enabling users to keep recording + preventing non-pro users from exporting the audio is not cool. I guess I’ll bring my business to Otter.

Mediocre translation for the price
For the price it under delivers. I found many of the translations were incorrect. It was not reliable. You can use google translate for free and receive the same level of translation.

For more than 50% of the meetings, the recording stopped after the first few minutes and I lose the rest of the recording. I check and I see a notification “The recording has paused and saved due to interruption”. Very frustrating.
In addition, support sends a lot of emails that weren’t all that helpful and basically impossible to speak to a human.

Transcripts are blank
Lately where I’m supposed to see the transcript it only shows an option to leave a review. If I bypass it it exports a blank page. I’m leaving a review in the hopes the message will go away and I can access the transcript instead. I don’t see customer support for help resolving this issue.
So Far This is Notta Dictation System
I signed up for a trial offer and so far I’ve not been able to get the Notta app to do anything constructive, nor to find any directions, tips, or more information on how to use it. At this point it is very disappointing. I was hoping to find a better alternative for dictation than Dragon Anywhere. So far it is not!
