Unusable
I’ve been using for years and each update has only made it worse and worse and it’s to the point where I deleted it. The layout is just terrible compared to how it was and it’s just ads non stop and trying to make you upgrade to premium.
Horrible app to sell products
If you want your items listed for months and get the most garbage offers from people. Then this is the app for you. I have countless times where I listed items on this app and Facebook and you know what was the result!? Every item I have sold was on facebook only and not this garbage app and that is also with the promotion I paid for my listings! I have never sold anything on this app and I have listed products with great prices. Overall an absolute garbage of an app and I don’t recommend. Hope the go bankrupt.
Bring back shipping
They took away the shipping option and it was the only reason why i had this app. Please bring it back

Dude the amount of adds is horrible that come up. You are scrolling through peoples items and this random add comes up. I don't understand it and I don't want to deal with any adds. This app sucks now
look at trust pilot, not the app store
Look at the reviews on trust pilot. they are rated a 1.2 out of 5. look at how many people get their account banned for 0 reason, and no explanation. this is genuinely the worst app i’ve ever owned.

I got scammed on offer up two different times. Bought a PS1 didn’t work and the lady wouldn’t give my money back. Bought a ps2 claimed it worked but it did not, the guy blocked me and stopped replying. When I reported to offer up there is no phone number. I e-mailed them and they did absolutely nothing. This is the worst platform

The worst app, if you do a search and open an ad, when you hit the go back arrow it takes you to the top of the search page not where you were 5 pages down, literally how does this kind of stuff get through any kind of testing?? I would never pay for this app because it is so lousy

Yes, you can find a lot of stuff on this app however it comes at a cost of your sanity. They have added things like deceptive ads so that when you’re scrolling up or down your finger will accidentally hit those ads and make your browser open a new window that’ll take you to one of their scam ads. You’re also get notifications every day with things that you didn’t ask for it all if you bought a refrigerator or a couch for some reason yo Spam every day for a month telling you more couches more refrigerators in your area it’s like how many couches in refrigerators do you think I’m gonna buy. I recommend everyone use the website browser version which includes no ads and no pop-up ads either.

This app used to be decent. As of the most current version it’s horrible and unusable. Pop ups for other apps while scrolling are awful and intrusive to browsing. It’s friggin useless now. Data storage bloats to over 1.2gb after using for less than a day. I’m switching to the website. If at all.

Lately it seems like if you look up something there’s only like 10 things listed for it no matter what ya look for and when ya put you want things 10 miles away or whatever it still only does things hours away

Super Sketchy and waste of time
Account removed but I was selling a rug, a table. Used real photos. Never disrespected anyone. What a waste of time. So many people trying to scam on this platform and get your personal number on here and I never once broke a rule. Just listed 2 or 3 items. They flag someone someone like me so legitimate was selling furniture to make space, but not the sketchy people who contact me to try and get a personal phone number and banking information. Don’t use this platform. Even after inquiring and disputing it, they just said guidelines were not followed but I looked at the list and can’t figure out what they flagged. Use Facebook marketplace, Craigslist or Next Door instead. They don’t remove you for no good reason.

Some major flaws!!
1. After you block a seller, you can still see the ads of that seller. So what does “block” do? 2. SO MANY sellers duplicate the same ads over and over again. I saw one guy created more than 10 listings in one week for the same item with the same picture. I reported multiple times but nothing happened. 3. I’m only interested in items of certain categories within 10 miles from where I am, so I set the filters to be that way. But every time I open the app, the filters reset automatically to default settings. So I have to manually choose local, distance, category, over and over. 4. So many scammers. 5. CAN’T DELETE PAST LISTINGS! 6. So many Ads.

I really can’t stand this app. I have unsubscribed from notifications over and over and over yet more keep popping up, especially for things. I don’t even care about. If I’m selling something don’t send me other people’s ads for the same thing I don’t care!! Deleting this annoying app!

Ads App should be the title
I don’t tend to bother with reviews. But these ads are annoying that I’m either going to switch app use or use very little.
The app has become really frustrating to use because of the ads. They pop up constantly and are hard to skip, which breaks the flow of browsing. It feels excessive and makes it difficult to actually use the platform efficiently. Please consider reducing the frequency or making them easier to close.

Flawed App
The current version of this app has a highly infuriating bug where every time you view a listing and push the back button it takes you all the way back to the top of the page. After scrolling down through a bunch of results to click on one listing then start over is a pain in the a_s. Marketplace has the app beat hands down.

Too many ads
Lots of ads that are also difficult to exit from. Ads also override my iPhone audio so I can’t even browse with something playing in the background. Experience used to be much better - not sure what happened.
Be careful
They provide no protection against preparing a meeting with someone and them not showing up and there are no repercussions against that person for wasting your time.
Misleading
Was offered a free trial, but has attempted to take 19.99 out of my account. I literally unsubscribed the same day because I didn’t want to be charged or misled. Now I cannot download apps because I refuse to put in card payment on so they can take my $19.
Not as good
OfferUp is not a good place to buy faired priced items. Too many businesses are posting their items price similar to other common stores. OfferUp used to be a place for mostly regular people selling items that they did not need. Not anymore. To search for an item such as a bed or a fridge you have to go through tons of listings from businesses. And to make the matter worse, the ads that pop up causes even more drag time and headache. And there are very shady contractors that list their services. I was conned by a tile layer. Took my money to get supplies and showed up with just a few items. Did such a terrible job that I had to stop him. He took $2500 of my money for couple of days work and never responded to payback what he owed.
Use to be good
This app use to be good and now it’s full of ads. Everytime I scroll to look for things I end up hitting an ad and it takes me out of the app and onto my web browser for some ad. Then you have the actual Commercials that run quite often interrupting what your trying to find. It’s so annoying I’ve resulted to using market place more.

Worthless Platform
Listed several items and got less than 100 total views compared to over a 1000 total views on Facebook for the same period of time.
Never got serious inquiries, only scammers.
Even tried buying several items I saw and never heard back from a single seller.
Clearly people in my area don't trust this platform. I will never use this app again.

Used to be a good app
It’s sad to see how a very useful app gets a very aggressive revenue tactics. I am sure there are ways to create a tailored service that can be monetized. I’ve been using it since LetGo, and I’ve done a lot of transactions before OfferUp started blasting ads. Additionally, despite the ads revenue, very little effort to remove spammers has been done. It’s super sad to see a good app going to waste.
Incessant Notifications
Constant notifications (for engagement?) that can’t be turned off without also turning off legitimate notifications from buyers or sellers.
To OfferUp: We don’t want to get a notification every 8 hours about what people in our area are doing. We care about the things that we are trying to buy or sell. And every notification we receive that ISN’T a reply from another user, just makes it clear that the app isn’t working as intended (to buy and sell things), but rather to get user engagement, by having to go and check unrelated messages constantly.
Every notification that isn’t from another user is a notification that the app is failing.

Really went downhill
App auto sets up alerts for all searches done in the app whether you want it to or not, doesn't even let me know it's done it. I could get 20 notifications within 2 days. If you're going to auto generate alerts, at least keep the same filters. The app is now riddled with ads. I end up turning off notifications altogether because I don't want to go into each alert and turn off the notification for something I never agreed to receive in the first place. And because alerts are turned off, I don't get messages for items I'm trying to purchase or sell and by the time I see the messages, it's too late. The app started off being great and luch like other apps, has imploded on itself. Self-destruction is a bad business model.
