Cabs are unclean, when you book premier cabs, they send you the same used cab, but they charge higher prices, 2x prices and also expect a tip? The cancellation rate is crazy high, you book 6 times to get one confirmed cab. There’s no respect for the customers, and no integrity from the drivers. It’s as frustrating as it gets. There’s a rider mafia, and these apps are helpless in front of the drivers. Overall, a very very poor experience, not sustainable if you don’t own a car here. You’re at the mercy of these greedy, unprofessional drivers and the company has done nothing to rein them in.

Cannot Even Create an Account
I tried creating an account on Ola due to an upcoming trip, but their SMS messages never go through. I asked for a call, which at first was intercepted by iOS call screening leading to me only getting two digits. I asked for a second call, which I received. However, Ola claimed the code was expired, and now I cannot request any more calls! Ola keeps saying, “sorry, we’re unable to serve your request,” when I ask for an OTP via call now. This is ridiculous.

Installed and reinstalled app multiple times but not working. All I see is the map but no other information or options for booking. The map is also not interactive.
No Support Driver asks for extra money
First of all Ola drivers are unprofessional. Ask to pay offline and go on meter.
If you are going to Airport or Train station, make sure you don’t book Ola as driver will cancel the ride or ask for money offline.

Never worked
Tried over and over to use it but it would never give me the option to find a ride. Just opened to a map with my location but zero other options.
Update: they contacted me three weeks after this review, which was three weeks after I needed the app lol.

Only one option: open with phone number. But the code never arrives. Total imbecility!

OTP
Damn OTP never arrives to a US phon number even though US phon number is an option. Unnecessarily painful. But I guess in India, people don’t feel accomplished unless it comes with pain & drama.
Not working for iPhone 15
Just installed Ola app to book a ride but it’s not working beyond showing me current location.
Can’t login
Been to India a few times over the past 3 years. I haven’t been able to login because I can’t get an otp (or even verification voice call) with any of my foreign numbers or my wife’s foreign numbers. If the app isn’t planning to support foreign phone numbers, kindly remove them from the app as a login option. Suggest tourists without a local number to stick to other apps.

Fraud strategy to run business
I am writing to dispute an outstanding balance on my account for a ride where the driver purposefully bypassed the OTP process and insisted on a cash payment, claiming the app was malfunctioning.

Pickup Issue: The driver refused to pick us up from the designated 2nd floor, forcing us to go to the top floor/terrace due to "traffic."
OTP Avoidance: Upon arrival, I requested the driver enter the OTP to start the ride. He refused, claiming the Ola app was not working, and started the trip manually without my verification.
Payment Dispute: At the end of the trip, the driver again blamed app issues, stating the fare hadn't reached his account. He forced us to pay the full amount in cash.
Duplicate Charging: Despite paying in cash, I have now received an "Amount Due" email notification, meaning I am being charged twice for a ride the driver handled outside of official protocols.
Multiple support cases open to fix this issue unfortunately OLA grievance is not smart enough to handle issues. These guys together supported for fraud.

We booked an SUV from the airport. The Ola driver was somewhere in the parking showing one minute arrival from 15-20 mins. He did not answer my calls thrice from the Ola application. When I canceled it, they charged me penalty of Rs 60/-

Absolute trash when adding card as a mode of payment
Does not allow me to pay through card during the ride. The ride automatically gets converted to cash only for no reason.
Bad app, poor cutomer support
App is buggy, drivers are rude and cancel trips. Also customer support is really poor and not well responsive

This is the most useless app. There is no ability to chat with customer support. An email to support results in an automated response saying use the chat which remains unavailable.

Recently I see an annoying info on top of route maps which cant be dismissed or minimized .. it is spoiling the viewing experience and blocking the full view of map

Opens the map view and that's all. Can't pan, click or do anything other than close the app. Deleted the app and started using Uber. Thanks Ola
Worst customer service
I have been trying to use Ola app on my iPhone for 4 years and have been getting error message. Contacted support numerous times and even contacted their grievance officer but of no use. The support just gives the canned response of deleting and reinstalling app. So just using Uber and Rapido all this time.

Does not work on US phone number. After entering mobile number, suppose to receive OTP, but never get OTP in messages. Also tried the to get the code over the call and I never get a call. I tried installing on the App on two different iPhones with international roaming (AT&T & Verizon) and it does not work. Had to use Uber for cab service in multiple cities

This app provides the worst quality vehicles in India. The customer service is terrible also.
CONSISTENT BAD RIDES
The drivers are so rude,they abuse and crib. Ola’s help/support is also TRASH. I’ve felt so unsafe consistently and i cant even complain. They exploit us. I will not be using this app again and will make sure anyone around me wont as well.

The SMS activation doesn’t work so activated via call. But the app shows a blue screen. I am using a USA number. Uninstalled and reinstalled but same cycle repeats. Disappointed.

Downloaded uber but it wants a phone number to verify, then doesn't send the SMS to either my US or Australian numbers. Since most visitors will be on data-only e-sims this makes it unusable by visitors so best to stick with Uber

Unable to even login. Text message is never received. There is an option to get a call for OTP, but choosing that option simply asks to use the OTP sent in SMS. Why even provide that option?

Designed to Only Take Money
The app works normally until you book a ride and pay. As soon as that is done, you are basically left with NO SUPPORT! The help section has no way of requesting help; complained about it multiple times but all they did was deny it, despite my submission of screenshots. A driver lied to me and took extra money; tried reporting that and my app stopped working. Uninstalled and reinstalled it but the UI only shows the map with no option to retrieve any account information. Reached out via email for help and got one response saying that the app is working fine and that I should retry; this was after I submitted multiple screenshots to show that the app was not working for me. Basically, if you ever have an issue with Ola, then you can forget to get any help from them because they have closed all the lines of getting help - email, call, app, etc.

Worst app and service. It will be a miracle if someone accepts your ride and not cancels it based on mode of payment or drop off location.
Digital Fraud
Total fare was 268, and i paid using my payment gateway app -Phone Pe, while the transaction in Phone Pe showed me success. Ola App did not inform the driver about the successful payment. Driver’s app displayed that payment was incomplete. I was so helpless that i had pay the driver cash again. Which means i ended up paying twice for one ride. Their customer care is hopeless. I couldnt directly talk to a support person to explain my issue. This app has a failed payment processing method. Their servers are way to slow to process the information and display the details creating chaos for the driver and the passenger. I am switching to Uber

I said why would I book a cab ? He called for the ride cost, half way the ride cancelled it and asked to be paid cash. In the middle of night 12:30 am what option I had ?
When I questioned he said well sir our 2 wheeler which we sell also promise something else but do they practicable do it ? Either take the ride or I can drop you here no problem ( this was around 12:40 am ).

Driver wants more money
I had a very disappointing experience with my recent Ola ride. The fare displayed on the app was ₹372, and I had already made the payment. However, the driver demanded ₹550, which is completely unfair and unacceptable. When I questioned him, he insisted that I pay extra without any valid reason. This kind of behavior is unethical and goes against Ola’s policies.
I request Ola to take strict action against such drivers to ensure a fair and hassle-free experience for customers. Riders should not have to deal with unnecessary arguments or extortion after booking a ride.

Customer service nonexistent
Money was deducted from the app but was not showing up for the driver. He demanded money and took the whole amount from me. Have tried multiple times to reach out to customer service but of no use.

Poor customer service from Ola App.
This app is terrible. It used to operate well but now it’s absolutely lousy. It’s very hard to find a driver, and even if I’m able to find a driver they always end up cancelling. The main problem I have is the navigation I can’t see where the driver is, it’s always stuck in one spot. Many people rely on apps like Ola especially to get around in big cities. But nowadays it’s hard to use.
A Useless App
Going to the UK, I put this app on my phone thinking it would be very handy to have for cab rides much like Uber. However, in setting it up they ask you to put in your mobile phone number and then they send you a code to verify it - the only problem is after 9 attempts the code never comes. I waited and attempted it again the next day and again after multiple request to resend the code since they never sent it in the first place it never comes. But given option to get a phone call with the code but that’s never available. if this is what you just set up the app I would hate to rely on this to get a cab - - I removed it from my phone and will count on the old reliable Uber when I’m in London.

Overcharging after trip- never delivering the refund voucher
I’ve been overcharged several times and the chatbot promises to return the additional fee via a voucher but the voucher never shows up. So fed up.

Such a shady app. My scheduled booking got vanished 5 minutes before the time with no notification or email. Even the order history didn’t showed the booking. Not good especially when someone has to catchup train in time.

Useless app. charged my upi id for 1400 rs trip, and still showed payment needed in cash. I paid the driver in cash thinking ola will resolve this issue. But they do not have any live agents/ numbers to connect to , and the automated support system is totally useless. raised mutiple tickets to no avail. going to consumer court now

Ola App Not Available
Ola used to work on my phone. Then suddenly I got logged out and when I try to login with my phone it says “The Ola App is not available for use on this device. Contact Support for more.”
I tried a different phone number, uninstalled it and reinstalled, but nothing worked.
I clicked “Contact Support” but it just closes the modal. There is no place on their website to submit a ticket. Very poor experience.

Terrible service with no customer support
Very frustrating experience. I linked my PhonePe for payment, and just before booking an Ola cab, it redirected me to PhonePe to complete the payment. The payment went through, but when I was redirected back to the Ola app, my booking had vanished, and I was back on the start page to book a new cab. My money was deducted, but no cab was booked. To make things worse, there’s no way to contact customer support-there’s no customer care number on the app or online. Clearly, they don’t care about their customers. This was the last straw-never using Ola again!
