I used Omio to book a travel from Berlin to Prague and it set me up on 2 trains and a bus. It gave me only 5-10 minutes in between layovers and absolutely NO information on the train/bus platforms. It gave me a bus number that had no relation to the actual bus at all and I had to ask dozens of other travelers just to find the bus. If they could provide actual platform information or guidance how to get to the busses it would’ve been better. Also I almost missed both trains because the layovers were only a few minutes and my bus got delayed… their app layout is confusing and makes it difficult to even access your own tickets. Never using Omio again and I highly recommend you don’t either.
Omio App sucks
The App does not update the platform changes in real time which ended up with me missing a train. Im sure this has happened to others, and we are left with a loss of time, so transportation, and money.

We had a train cancelled from Berlin to Prague and the CS agent said there was nothing they could do; gave us a refund form to fill out online and book another train last minute which cost us $650. Turns out the train operator said we could’ve simple hopped on another train with our cancelled ticket. Omio cost is $650. Always book directly with train company and never use Omio!
Ghosts after refund request
I have used Omio for a couple of trips and it was good, but then there was an issue with a recent trip. The time on the app was delayed by an hour from the time it was listed for the actual train so I ended up missing my train because I relied on the app. I reached out to support in hopes for a refund, and I was in contact with Shiheb L. He said they were going to investigate and responded that it is taking a while when I emailed again a few hours later. I emailed again a few days later and I have not received a response. Do not use Omio, just book through the transit company you are using because they have become unreliable and have poor customer support. I hope this review pushes them to handle this matter.
Trash in Italy
Only good in large cities. In small areas it doesn’t update and doesn’t provide accurate destinations. I spent 3hrs bouncing around Italy for tickets I couldn’t cancel because a station I was supposed to arrive at didn’t even exist. Horrible customer care
Hides baggage fees
POS app that never clearly outlines additional baggage fees in Spain. I’ve had to end up paying more than the total ticket cost at the gate that I would’ve been able to pay less if I paid ahead of time online. AI is not helpful at answering any questions.
Flying would’ve been cheaper, and that’s saying a lot considering that’s high too.
I wouldn’t recommend it as they are hiding fees and take no accountability to address this obvious charge. No reputable transportation app should have this hidden but I guess this Europe’s best that it can offer.

Missing tickets
I paid for my tickets and when I waited to get them, they didn’t show up in my email address. I tried talking with the ai bot and it doesn’t even know where it went. I see that my bank approved the TICKETS but the app says i didn’t pay nothing. What the heck is going on here >:(
Availability issues
The app does not indicate availability. It shows the times but when you add the passenger details then only it will show if there are tickets available. This could be improved to show live availability.

Wrong information
When I spent 200 dollars on a ticket I would expect the right information which in turn main me miss my train the departure time was wrong and the platform was wrong. Very disappointed

Sold us tickets at opposite ends of the first class train car despite both tickets purchased at same time.
Be careful
We booked a train through Omio and they auto booked us for a connection in Madrid. Our first train was late. Little did we know that the carrier’s policy was that if you miss your train due to a connecting train being late, they will only refund you/book you a new ticket if the trains are an hour apart. Omio was misleading and we never would have booked such a short layover had we known. We weren’t given a choice and this wasn’t clear. Of course Omio customer service was no help.

UPDATE: I received a deeply unhelpful and unaccountable response to this review that suggested I “update my review,” so I’m doing that to double down that people should STAY AWAY from this horrible service. They responded to this review to try to get a better rating but still have not responded to multiple attempts to resolve my issues via customer service. Tells you everything you need to know. DONT USE OMIO.

Just book on the train service website or use a better app. No idea how this is rated 4.9.

Don’t recommend!!
Confirmation email never came through and by the time it finally did the train had already left as 9 hours had passed by. Despite several attempts to use the help service, it was both inconvenient with every time the screen turned off it reset, and the emails don’t answer questions and instead just say “your request has been updated.” Finally an email that didn’t just say was received it was that the tickets weren’t confirmed and that a refund would be enacted. However it now says it’ll take up to 6 weeks. If the refund comes through I will update this review, but if not it would seem this app is a scam, that is only after your money.
App Worthiness
In App prices are way higher than the ones from the original transportation companies. It’s better booking directly.

Prior train delay meant needed to change time and pay fee (fine). App would not let make any same day changes at all. Had to cancel and eat huge fee.

Horrible Support
Impossible to connect with a real human. In process of buying a ticket was charged with Omio Savings Pass, even though did not want ($24). Attempted to cancel but it is impossible to connect with any real person.
Cheaper to book direct
I found that it’s cheaper to book directly with the train companies in Spain. Also, this app would only show me very limited availability for a specific route, that cost more than 2x than booking directly with the carrier. Avoid.

Did not display canceled flight tickets
I tried to cancel a flight right after booking it. After I clicked cancel the app says it’s not changeable. I was fine with it and left it alone. The app displays that my booking is valid and I received booking confirmation email and reminders. However! When I get to the airport two months later, they don’t have my tickets. They were actually canceled!!! It would’ve been nice if they informed me in anyway that my cancellation request actually went through!!! The app shows my flight is still active the whole time! There was no cancellation email of any kind! I had no idea!! I end up paying double for a same day flight and waited at the airport for 8hours!! When I called, they told me the app does NOT display cancellations. How does that make sense??? Worst experience ever!!!! - I was contacted after leaving the review, asking for the booking numbers, but I don’t have a way to communicate back, so I will add it here. OMIO1GB. You can check the history. The customer representative literally told me that the app does NOT show cancellations.

버스도, 기차도 직항이라고 나오는데 실상은 직행이 아님. 버스는 2시간인데 7반을 서고 기차도 2:48분인데 3번을 정차함. 몇 번을 서는게 문제가 아니라 마치 한번도 정차 안하는것 추럼 표를 팔아먹음. 심지어 티켓에도 정차 역이나 정류장이

Leave me alone
The app works fine. There's been no problem with it or my transportation, but I would like to be able to unsubscribe once I finish my trips. I still get emails every day but they're just advertisements. I'll have to see how I can block them.

Contacted the costumer support (chat and phone) they stated they couldn’t help me. I submitted a case through the app and no resolution. This company is a SCAM!

Screw this app
The app is okay if solo booking but if you are booking for a group it’s a gamble every time because they decide to let you know that the train is fully booked after typing every bit of information in for all the tickets you are trying to buy. Book through another app avoid Omio
