No features without subscription

Will not spend time to customize things in an app just to not like it after a week

Would give 0
It told me I could only eat 500 calories a day to lose .8 pounds per week
Hidden cancel clauses
I signed up for the free trial. It Allowed me to cancel but kept the subscription until 2027 so I’m still being charged for an entire year? Seems like pretty shady practices.
Don’t sign up for “free trial”
I signed up for the free trial and the app instantly charged my card for a full year. What a scam. I’ve never had this happen with any other app.
Trash

Awful
It changed my starting weight and goal every time I opened it. At one point it said my goal was to double my weight. If I try to change my goal, it then adjusted my starting weight as well. I couldn’t get them to both be correct at the same time. The watch app drained my battery by lunch.
App not as advertised, still charges fee before free trial
They promise a 7 day free trial, but charged me a lifetime subscription immediately. They also claim to have ways to log workouts, but they only have miscellaneous exercises like skiing or biking. There’s no way to log specific workouts, it only has three categories: easy, moderate, and intense. The main reason I even downloaded the app was to track my strength training on specific exercises, and now I’m getting charged for something I didn’t want. I’ve requested a refund, I hope to receive that soon because this is ridiculous.
no free options
theres no option for a free version IT IS PAYED ONLY
Doesn’t work
Can’t even put my basic information in because it doesn’t register.
I just deleted it, if it can let me put basic information in then I don’t think I trust anything else in this app.

false free trial
Signed up for the free trial and I got charged right away. I reached out to cancel and get a refund and they just said they can’t help me. Do not get scammed
Terrible Food Tracker and useless without smart watch.
The food tracker is very clunky and the search feature gives bizarre results even if you are specific.
Useless
This is clickbait disguised as a cute health app. Calorie/food tracker is horrible and useless, no quick tutorial on how to use it and so you’re left fumbling around.
Got scammed!
I got scammed to download the app that by the way is a terrible app! Don’t buy it!
Inappropriate tone for a wellness app
I downloaded this as a wellness app and was genuinely surprised by the tone of the AI. After requesting supportive, first-person language, the responses became increasingly hostile, shaming, and confrontational.
Rather than respecting boundaries or user disengagement, the AI escalated with language implying weakness, dismissal, and coercion. This felt completely inappropriate for a product positioned around stress, wellness, or health insights.
I’m sharing this as feedback because tone and psychological safety matter in wellness tools. This interaction did not feel supportive, ethical, or well-designed.

Asks for money before use
I uninstalled the app as soon as it asked me to pay for an app I have zero information on its use with a small free trial. For someone with adhd free trial is a money pit waiting to happen and not thrilled I can’t see the basics of the app without locking in to some form or monetary exchange.
Not healthy
Recommended 1000 calories a day for me, a fully grown woman. Not good health advice at all.
Starting out poor
Just downloaded and noticed two things. The first is that it’s weight centric just like every other app and asks you your ideal weight. The images used look a lot like the others I’ve tried so I’m expecting the same disappointing experience. Second, they charge you right as you start their 5-day “””free””” trial. That’s a big red flag for me if you have to request a refund just to try the app and end up not liking it (as in the expect many people to not request a refund so their trial is not really free).
Terrible AI training data
This app told me, a 30 something woman 5'8" that my ideal weight was between 104 and 140lbs. What idiot man made this? At that weight range I would lose my period and have a whole bunch of other underweight problems.
Does nothing
This app doesn’t do anything. It just read the data my phone already collects automatically for free. But they make you pay to see it in a different font? I can’t even add workouts in so if it doesn’t pick something up then I loose my streak. The streak was supposed to be what helps convince me to keep exercising everyday. My watch already alerts me when I’ve been doing something like sitting too long why do I need this app to also just say it the exact same way? I can’t believe I paid for this I want my money back. Already sent a message with no response. The ai otter thing doesn’t even offer anything either. Like you’d think with it being ai on an app it might know anything about the app itself but it doesn’t. I just don’t see the point and I’m very sad I took the risk of paying money for it. Id like a refund.
Just no.
The otter AI is not helpful and speaks in broken English. I don’t know if it is meant to be “cute”, but honestly it makes it really hard to take the app seriously. Did not provide any useful insights.
Make sure you do the free trial before purchasing… otherwise you just waste money like I did!

AI needs work
I loved this app. I don’t love the new AI chatbot.
Can’t get past the setup
Apple tells me the purchase went through, the app tells me the purchase failed and it won’t go past that point. When I click the contact the developer it says it’s the connection isn’t private so I can’t contact them. Looks like it could be a cool app but I’m about to cancel and delete.
Bad app
This app is a joke I filled out everything properly and it said I could only eat 1100 calories daily, that is not enough to keep a fish alive, it also charged me $69 have no idea where that price came from. I thought I got a free one month trial I want my money back!
Nice premise, but….
How can you have a calorie tracking app in 2025 without a barcode scanner? This is a BASIC expectation. All the cuteness and motivation in the world can’t overcome the fact that it takes a very long time to manually create a meal because it’s missing basic functionality and the AI can’t interpret the nutrition label.
Apple only
They say it will take info from the health app with other smart watches. That’s not true as all apps are up to date but the information never gets to this app. The smart watch updates the health app rapidly but this app does not connect to anything. It promotes Apple Watch extras so this app must be based on Apple product to be full accessible. I love the otter and then motivation but it was a great waste of money unless you have the Apple Watch
Cute App, but lacking
I so wanted this app to work well, but it is super buggy. I couldn’t ever get it to log food correctly, which is a huge part of a healthy lifestyle. The food library would never load, and when I scanned a barcode, the information was WAY off. It also sent me random push notifications that were not helpful at all, and I couldn’t ever add a task to my list because the icon library didn’t load. Overall, I’m so glad I didn’t jump right in and pay for it and was able to cancel before my free trial was up.
did not let me adjust certain things
i tried to adjust my height but it didnt let me, it let me change my weight and birth date but not my height. it also did not let me manually change my calorie intake and automatically had me way above what i would like to have my calorie intake to be. i cancelled the membership and will be using another app. was not worth $15 a month and i cant adjust anything.
200cals a day
No matter how much I finick with it, the app keeps telling me I need to eat around 200kcals a day??
Wants me to starve
I got this app yesterday thinking it’s a cute little tracker that could be helpful. I’m currently 155 pounds I only want to lose 20 pounds so nothing extreme but this app wants me to only eat 300 cal a day. I can’t seem to fix it no matter what I do even if I change the weight loss plan never allows me more
I wish it work properly
The app is cute and I was so excited to use but when it comes to customizing the watch face it wouldn’t save the new themes I created. I wish this could be fixed because it would make the app a lot more enjoyable and worth keeping.
Changes calories
I drink a celcius every morning that’s 10kcal per 355ml. I have to fight with the app to keep it 10kcal because it will change it to anywhere from 47-84 depending on the day.
I eat tuna for breakfast that’s 100kcal with 26g of protein. It changes the protein score to 17 and will bump the calories WAY up to random numbers every time.
Like my option is either fudge the weight of things to get accurate calories or let my calories always seem over to get accurate macros

Pretty Visually, Terrible functionally
I had this app for a month and a half, and while the designs are visually stunning and engaging it is so difficult to actually track calories on this app. The food section is ridiculously limited to the point where every meal you are putting in you have to turn it into something custom. The other day I tried to put in a Kuerg chai latte and I wasn’t able to so I had to create it as a custom food. Every time you open the app and ask you how you’re feeling, which is great but I didn’t find out until three weeks into using the app that there is a section where it displays more complex emotions, which would have been great to know ahead of time. Overall, the app is very pretty to look at, but its functionality is a complete 0/5.
