Attempted to use yesterday and otherside was completely nonsense.
Not happy
Not happy at all with this app. I tried on several occasions, and every time the wrong words were being transcribed. Very frustrating when you have people waiting on you to communicate.
Then I tried touching base with the company to cancel. Well, that’s a joke! They emailed me back with all the nice cities, but nothing ever got done. I’m afraid I’m going to be charged again so stay tuned!

Bait and switch
They made me an offer for $34 and then they charge me $48. Addition to buying the app you have to buy extra credit every time you use the app! outrageous.

The voice to text often gets your words wrong, requiring you to speak slower and with more enunciation than normal.
But if you speak too slow, it will cut you off mid sentence and create an inaccurate translation.
The clone voice was neat. But you only get a couple tries to adapt to the quirks before it slaps you with a subscription plan to use further.

Waste of My Money
Absolutely horrible translation. I was using it to translate Thai, and most of the translations were completely wrong (I have a Thai spouse who speaks both Thai and English).
I wanted to use the translator when we met with Thai friends to help me understand the conversations they were having - it was completely useless.
I do not recommend buying this app. It is a waste of your money!

Not at all like in the ADS
Not like in the ads. The EarPods don’t get the conversation like it is advertised. It’s requires some time to record and translate in the meantime you miss the rest of the conversation. Uninstalled.

Beware of trial period. Scam!
This app supposedly has a 3-day trial period, but when you start using the app it immediately charges you the subscription fee. Where and when is subscription period supposed to start?
Legitimate apps start the subscription charge after the trial period. Owll Translate charges you immediately, and Apple Support is about as useful as a rock in resolving your issue.
I will be disputing this with my credit card company for their deceptive practices.

Downloaded this app with the free 1 week trial. Cancelled same day because other apps perform better. They charged me even after cancelled! Apple had to get involved to refund the fraudulent charge. This is a no-go in my book when trying an app. Avoid!
DONT USE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY
I cancel my subscription way before the date and still got charged.
False Advertising
Fake marketing, it doesn’t let you listen to yourself as if you were fluent in another language. It uses a generic AI voice no matter the user. In Spanish for example, it’s the same female ai voice.
It’s also $70 per year or $7 a week for what Google translate does for free.

Great idea
Had problems with this stupid note taker always interrupts my translations also sonetimes just stops. Hiccups. It’s almost great. Where is the ears bud setup pictured in the ad?
Daily minute cap even with premium
I purchased this subscription believing it offered unlimited usage. After subscribing, I discovered there is a strict daily minute cap that was not clearly disclosed. This does not meet my needs and I would not have subscribed had this been clear.
That being said the app works well enough to understand what is being said through context clues. It lists Colombian Spanish as being an option but mistranslates about half of what is being said.

Meh it’s not what I expected
So I’m looking for mandarin simplied version and didn’t notice that it’s at the very top as Chinese. And when I tried the recording it doesn’t sound as close to simplified version it’s more the traditional version. Plus it’s not really worth the price. I could just use chat gpt or grok to do this for me. Plus you get more out of it.
