I sat on the human help chat for 45 minutes with no response. Devices are separate so you can’t manage time across both. Deleting.

Major issues
I downloaded this app so my kid would have less time on her iPad because she used to be on it every day. But when I tried deleting this app because I took her iPad away permanently and I only give it back on long trips like when you’re on a five hour car ride or on a plane you can’t delete it also the time that I gave her just disappears so when I’m on a early plane ride, she can’t actually have her iPad at four in the morning. She has to wait three hours till it’s 7:00

This app for me (as a child) has made my life awful. I understand I have an addiction but this thing blocks even educational things and uses VPN. The VPN thing is awful because I cannot access certain shopping sites because of VPN blockers. It constantly feels as though my life is being monitored and an invasion of my privacy. It can just randomly block my apps and my mum uses it to control my life. But I guess I sort of kicked myself in the behind because I suggested this app. Also this thing is super expensive?!?! So I would avoid this app. Also I know I’m going to get a random bot response to this saying “Discuss this with your family 😃.” I do not mean to sound like one of those annoying kids that is brain rotted but this app really annoys me. Impossible to set up
My son has an iphone 13 and it’s impossible to set up on this older device.
Don’t get unless you want it to be a permanent fixture on your kids device!
I can’t remove the app, nor the VPN from my son’s device. This is the worse mistake I’ve made in using this app. Nothing but a headache. Every time I try to use the steps they give me, it either locks his phone up, or it tells me I got the PIN wrong, even though the PIN works on my phone, the same PIN don’t work on the computer app. Customer support is also a joke, taking 10+ minutes each reply! I don’t have all day to sit on with your customer support to figure this issue out. Now I’m probably going to have to take it to Apple support in hopes they can help. So dumb. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Control disguised as Safety
This app absolutely sucks. My daughter has never seen anything bad or been addicted to her phone, but this app caused a bug. This app would shut off her Safari, and all apps, videos and pictures sent to her that aren’t inappropriate, and this app would do it by itself with out my parental permission. It caused me and my daughter much stress. I don’t recommend it unless you want to build a control trap that’s wrapped in pretty wrapping paper called “safety” when it cuts of many forms of being safe. Thank you for reading.

I deleted the app and now out of nowhere it locks my phone and all my apps are gone and now I can’t use my phone

We’ve used this app for years for the kids but over time the base functionality started to no longer work. Just now the iPad was in child mode but no time counter was running - then I uninstalled it and the iPad is no longer usable.

I’m a kid who got this app. When I was allowed to uninstall it I did immediately. The next day though I couldn’t use any apps and kidslox had reinstalled itself. We did get it fixed but the setting was hidden not even on the app. In settings on vpns.

Waste of money on Mac computer
I do not recommend for people with Mac computers. It’s impossible to support the app. I spent hours trying to load on my computer.
Don’t waste your money
Doesn’t work , paltry support. The idea would be good if only it works. You create a list of apps to allow /not allow in lock mode but the list doesn’t stay saved and resets every day. So you spend every day trying to remember to go shut off certain apps. If you travel overseas the software prevents use of an eSIM. Support is a bot which is useless and you get and email from a human a week later. Don’t waste your money

After I was allowed to delete the app, the app kept controlling my screen time and didn’t let me use any apps! It is doing that as I type this out, I’m not sure how to fix it please help

My kid got logged out of every single one of his games because he deleted it and it took me so long to log into every single game and he never uses his iPad and he says it’s just useless so I won’t recommend this to parents who were getting their kids? It’s stupid.

It is unreliable. Once it blocks the phones, the app control stops working.

VERY VERY terrible app . ur device will eventually glitch and there is NOWAY to get out of the mode you will not have apps anymore and cannot be fixed im currently stuck on a device with NO APPS beacuse of it and i have to restart the WHOLE PHONE i do not recommend there’s other ways to keep ur kids off the phone. very terrible

DON’T GET KIDSLOX
My mom got this app a long while ago and just now I’m looking back on myself and seeing what this app did to me. When my mom first bought it was fine for a week or two until I realized I had to deal with this for the rest of my childhood.
After I was straight up tired of repeatedly asking my mom for time. It caused me to be agitated, agressive and making me feel straight up miserable. I then went into a depressive/suicidal state because of ts.
I was masking my real feelings and when in bed drawing and writing about how I felt. I also threw MANY fits and had multiple outbursts that involved me avoiding seeing my mom. Sometimes I even starved myself or just laid in bed doing nothing to rebel against my mom.
My mom also got this app a few weeks b4 school started which made the school year EVEN WORSE. I had so much homework and assignments and I had nothing to cope with but art, I couldn’t use ANY OF MY IMPORTANT APPS and i have to beg and convince my mom for ONE HOUR OF TIME.
The privacy of this app honestly sucks because I’m a teen and I honestly can’t do anything without my mom knowing. I’m a writer and I wanted to know a word for a sharp stabbing pain but then my mom went upstairs in my room and asked why I searched that up.
This app WILL mess with your child’s mental health and if you’re thinking of buying this trash, DON’T.
