This app horrible it’s very disrespectful women on here and women talking about shooting another mother with a gun and speaking death on the mother kids and pregnant women , the women are really negative and one women got jumped after meeting up to have tea and lunch with her children that caused her to be rushed to the ER , it’s been times women set up mom to be raped even while pregnant, it’s also a lot of mom shaming on this app , so many women trauma dumping , a lot of drama he said she said , people talk too much , setting people up and it’s sad this is not good for mental health either this app is not what I’ll recommend it’s very unhealthy and on this app someone threaten my life and she is still harassing me and making threats to kill me-- this app is not safe and I’m so terrified for my life and my children is full of DRAMA AND THE OWNER NEEDS TO CRACK DOWN ON THESE MESSY MOMS ( for your own sanity delete the app or don’t download it I been on this app since 2021)

I bought a subscription just to filter out similar age group for my child . But app constantly shows me baby mama or expecting mommy , which is no worth to subscribe the app , also I advise to work on filter so ppl can find someone based on their kid age . Do respect filter selection choices. I got bored of swipe game .
Great idea but the community ruined it..
I’m sure this was a really great idea in the beginning but a bunch of bad apples ruined it by making swinger groups and making posts about threesomes really weird communities on here when it should’ve stayed such a wholesome app… unfortunate.
Can’t upgrade in the app

In the app where I can’t upgrade to the “premium” version to see waves. Everytime I try to upgrade the app redirects to my iPhone settings to enter my iPhone password. Super weird. I’m assuming other people are experiencing this too because a ton of moms in my area have in their bio that they can’t see the “waves”

I joined this app to try to find other lesbian mom friends. The lgbt sections are literally just full of people looking for sex chats and trying to get photos of moms to use to catfish people on other sites by pretending to be the mom they got photos from. There were widespread complaints about scammers requesting photos from other women when I tried to use the app. So this is basically the exact opposite of a “mom friend” app in execution
Has potential
The app is great but the settings need work. I set my radius for 10 miles and age group… constantly getting significantly further away and older ages. Frustrating because i paid for the subscription.
Won’t allow me to log in
The app worked good the first time I tried it. Now it won’t load at all, so I can’t log in and look at anything. Their support page doesn’t load so I can’t even do anything about it. This app is basically useless to me now without being able to log in or view anything.
Scam
Why am I having to pay $30 or even more JUST TO SEE who waved at me? That’s literally so ridiculous especially with this being an app to make mom friends hellooo?? Do these ppl not think we have things to pay for obtaining our kid/kids Why would anyone pay so much money for that when that could be use for something way more important! Don’t download this app
Girls don’t answer. I don’t like the way some people express themselves on here. They are also unclear to what they post and answer their comments to. This app is a waste of time. People are dry on here and don’t text at all. I understand mom life is hard and busy but this app is the last thing moms need to keep up with. It was hard making friends. I don’t like the ads that this app uploads either.
Forced notifications
The app forces me to turn on notifications. Then it forces me to tell how many weeks I am if I am pregnant or I cannot continue registration. Then it forces me to do a selfie. This is personal data; those tactics are called deceptive patterns, and I do not want to be forced. So there is no way to use this app
Only trying to capitalize off of lonely moms
To see “waves” you need to buy the subscription. This isn’t for connecting moms. Don’t download

Honestly it’s un useable, they even took away being able to see more than two pictures. Unless you pay it’s not worth it.

Have to give out credit card to download
I was prompted before I could even download the app for my credit card information. As a SAHM, I am not doing that. Peanut was free when I used it 10 years ago. Not using it if I have to give out my card information. No thanks!
Not good
You cannot filter based on age. Like huh!? I’m 54 and I can only see women in their 20’s. It also won’t sort by closest even when you select that. I’m seeing people in other states! I’m done…
Usless App ! Do not download!
I barely made an account with one picture of me and next one of my little one playing … so apparently my account was banned couple days after with me not even interacted with no one . Sorry I’m not dressed up as Barney to be taken there . No wonder many people are leaving this app … back home had tones of friends and play dates for my kiddo I moved to this new area you don’t even interacted with anyone and your account gets banned . Terrible app indeed ! I’m fine making friends with normal people not paying for this useful app !!!
Buggy app
Was super excited to try this app but unfortunately it won’t let me past the take a selfie screen. It won’t show my face or anything and keeps saying allow access to my camera but I have. I’ve tried everything so very disappointing.

Banned my account after taking my money
I had just bought a year long membership after having taken a hiatus from the app for a couple of months. Initially my account was banned. Now I’ve had issues in the past where their auto bots ban you for “suspicious behavior” due to me mass messaging a group of friends for an upcoming pod. This is how we notified each other. I got it cleared up. But there was no warning or explanation. I was able to open a new account and I purchased a membership and then my account was soon after banned again! Within a day. They took my money and without any warning and without me being even doing anything against their policy, I was banned once more. I’ve emailed them but no response.
Glitchy
I tried to enroll so I can make some friends during my first pregnancy kept giving me an error when I try to do the photo verification it said please ensure peanut has permission to access your camera which I did make sure it was allowed I thought, deleting the app and reinstalling it would fix it. It did not very unhappy.
Their “Free” Trial Automatically Charges You
I went to try the app & it gave the option for a 7 day free trial for the plus. I clicked just to see the plus functions… and it charged me automatically the $29.99 for the year, which is not what I clicked. I reached out to Peanut via email, and they said to request the refund to Apple, which I did, and then let them know for a “free 2 week trial for the inconvenience”. Apple rejected the refund & the appeal. Peanut now will not respond to my emails. So don’t try to sign up for a free trial, it’s not free & there is no refund.

The app claims to be inclusive, but that only seems to apply if your views fit the ultra-progressive mold. Say anything even slightly different? Be ready to get dog-piled or banned.
Also, call me old-fashioned, but I joined a motherhood app expecting it to be focused on, well… mothers-those who can biologically carry children. Apparently even mentioning that is controversial now. If you’re not 100% in lockstep with the groupthink, don’t expect a warm welcome.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for open-minded conversation, this is not be your crowd.

Social media section is absolutely horrific constantly shoving disturbing content in my face
No matter how many times I press “show me less content like this” or block women who are posting absolutely disgusting content, the app keeps suggesting me the specific things I not only have 0 interest for but constantly need to report. Like mothers smoking/drinking while they’re pregnant/breastfeeding or women getting late term abortions where their babies can survive outside the womb.

if you want all of your interactions to be fighting for your life amongst bullies and moms who think they’re better than you, this is the app. it’s reddit without mods for hormonal and psychotic moms using every excuse in the book to make their actions acceptable. there are very little actual motherhood/child related questions, it’s mainly random conversations, politics and mom/mom drama. moderators do nothing, reporting does nothing, this app is unfiltered and unchecked chaos. no thanks.
Can’t make purchase
Hi I can’t make a purchase, it just hangs with an infinite loading spinner. I’ve made the purchase to get peanut plus but then it says I don’t have it so when I try to purchase it again it just hangs and I have no access to the premium features that I paid for.

I made a best friend through this app, but I don’t appreciate them banning me due to me being opinionated. They look at IP address, so you have to get a new phone just to join the app again. Ridiculous.

After 2 years, I deleted my profile & app. This is ANYTHING BUT a place for friends & support. It’s a cesspool of hateful, judgmental, dramatic, & catty women. It’s an online high school filled with mean girls. Pass HARD PASS!

Great idea but not the best people on the app
I love the idea of this app and I’m sure it could be a hit but people NEVER reply on this app. I’m not even sure why people go out of their way to match with people then never reply. Overall I’d set your expectations very low. I’ve met up with one woman after almost 2 years on the app!
Crashed as I was typing a long message
“We’ll be back soon!” is all I saw when I was typing a long message to one of my connections there. Overall, it’s a good app but this crash was highly unnecessary. All that work on that message was for nothing.

this app needs to be flagged. there is so much misinformation in the community groups and uninformed mothers asking for medical advice…its astonishing and dangerous.

I just recently downloaded this app to check out as a first time mom. Wish I could get past the sign up. Camera does not activate to get past the “take a selfie” for security during sign-up steps. Please fix so I can check out the app and give a higher rating!
Good idea
I like the idea of making mom friends but it’s set up more like tinder. I’m paying to see who wants to talk to me? Or I can just swipe to infinity and never chat with someone. It’s pretty unfair as it is an app for someone who is a new mom or a mom at all and has more expenses than one without kids. Then $15 a year. People live off subscriptions for tv internet all type things now so $15 to make a friend is inconvenient when there are mommy groups and other things

Enjoyed for a few months. Making progress for the first time ever in my life. Then I get blindsided, offended, and stabbed in the back. It made me put all my walls back up and some new ones. It made me realize that even moms don’t support moms and that there really is no one I can trust. Left me traumatized and paranoid and deeply hurt and ganged up on. Deleted my account with heart racing, a lump in my throat, and looking over my shoulder. Still don’t feel like I have heard the last of it. But please god let it be over!
Constantly nagging about membership perks
Let’s be honest, finding mom friends can be extremely difficult these days. I loved the idea of an app that would help me try to find mom’s in my area. My biggest pet peeve with this app is it is constantly nagging you to join its membership and PAY to find friends. I understand everyone is trying to make a buck these days, so throw in more adds or something, but don’t penalize the mom’s by removing important features “that make you 4x more likely to make mom friends” just because we don’t want to pay for the app. It’s hard enough we are on an app trying to make friends, let’s not make it worse than it already is.

To some, being a mother may be a disappointment due to external circumstances, not any fault to the child(ren) they may have. When this is brought up, other women get disappointed.
Such disappointment is a part of life. Not everyone can muster copious amounts of positivity.

This app is nice in theory, but you can’t see when someone “waves” at you unless you pay. Not everyone can spare the extra $15 a month in hopes of making a mom friend.

I think it’s kind of stupid to have the app set for 18 years of age. I am 17 and I have a four month old. I get the reason why but I would still like to meet other mothers.
Good concept but forces you to pay
It’s like a dating app, but you swipe up or down to match or skip a profile. You can “wave” at someone you’re interested in meeting but you can’t see who waved at you unless you refer a friend (good for just 1 day of seeing your waves) or pay them a high monthly fee.

I’ve been on Peanut since 2020 and I was hoping that this app would make updates that made it better, and well it just hasn’t.
First, the match option works in theory but between the pay wall to see waves, the type of filters, and lack of responses from other moms, it is difficult to use. The chat option seems to have keywords that auto flag you. So I recommend exchanging snapchats to continue a more personal conversation.
Secondly, the groups section I have a love hate relationship with. I have found that over the years more and more groups have become dormant with no activity in them. I feel that the layout of this section could use an overhaul. I have seen some quite hateful and vile behavior in some of these groups as well.
Lastly, the pods. The pods section has barely changed since 2020 and a lot of people have ditched the app and went to Clubhouse for better features and less glitches. I have made some really great friends in the pods but it seems as if the app tried to hide this portion due to drama and conflict. Which does happen. Not as much recently but it has been a point on contention for the CEO of the app since she had popped into a pod once and spoke about it years ago. Since then this section feels like the black sheep of the family, even though I think this part has the most potential along side the groups.
General complaints: I have seen men on the app before. Be it short lived, but they do sneak in. The reporting option doesn’t do much as I have witnessed the same toxic people come back to the app dozens of times under new fake profiles. The subscriptions price does not match its value. The app, imho, needs an overhaul with better features and better marketing.
Positives: you can find great advice and community here if you look past the blatant misinformation and negativity. It is also possible to meet and create meaningful friendships here if you are determined and persistent. Also, it’s the only app I have seen where you can connect with other moms virtually and locally. I cannot find both in one app other than Peanut. It’s worth a shot just don’t go in with rose colored glasses.

Just deleted the app, I get that you guys are trying to stop people from scamming others but I can’t even talk to people about what I do with out getting a message that says I’m going against community guidelines. I was having a full conversation with someone which then led to the usual “ohh what do you do for a living” but when I sent a picture about a reiki / meditation meet up I’m having just to show the person the nice flyer I made because I was proud of it and we were talking about it, but then to get flagged for going against community guidelines. Just more of an annoyance since I wasn’t spam sending the flyer or even trying to force her to sign up just simply trying to share what I was doing and make friends with similar interests.
