What a joke
Going back to ChatGPT
BS not a good App false advertising
Total BS. Why would you want to follow up with the claim just as good as chat gpt.
Only works sometimes
Terrible if you’re using it for work or projects. I’m a paid user at 20$ a month and I ran out of “credits”. It won’t tell me when I get more credits my only option is to go up to 200$ a month or wait to get more credits. What a horrible design flaw. Back to ChatGPT it’s not as good but at least it’s unlimited.
Bad company
No communication, over charge me with no refund. hard to find out how to contact no response to emails or messages in the app. No number to call. Another big tech company who does not care about citizens or customers.
Image
They let you make one image but they don’t allow you to edit if something came out incorrect
Censorship
This ai app has a lot of censoring going on. Pretty sad it chooses what you can see. All legal above board. Leans hard left on what is acceptable. Hunting -nope, recreational shooting-nope.

The worst A.I. app
I’m not a fan of chatGPT but that app blows this out of the water by a mile.
I was unhappy with the AI I was using so I went and did trials of multiple different ones to see which had the best positive results while mitigating the negative quirks.
I accidentally let the trial slip past 7 days and got automatically charged for a year. My own fault but it would have been nice if it only auto paid for a month. Since I’m stuck with this I thought I should just make the best use of it. When I say this has been the worst experience of them all I absolutely mean it.
Absolute garbage. Does not listen to command prompts, pulls garbage information from amateur sources and lists them as written in stone rules, hallucinates answers and parts to questions of mine daily, fails to repeat my own typed logs down correctly, makes up answers, and can’t generate accurate images based on specific descriptions of items. It can’t even put 2 & 2 together and understand when I am answering its own follow up question and makes it what it thinks it I am asking.
Disappointed.
This is a time waster not saver by any means in any application I’ve tried to use it for. It’s not useful for quick answers or long calculated answers. It not useful at keeping logs or typed notes to be condensed afterwards. It’s not useful to compare my notes and observations with other sources when I even provide the exact sources for it to compare against.
I honestly can’t see how this app could be useful for any application. Almost any other A.I. has been better as their flaws are much less detrimental in accuracy. Maybe within the year I’m locked to it will get better but it has a long way to go.
For context I’m a professional in my field and very familiar with all current science, theory, and opinions on my subject and very familiar with all sources. I’ve done multiple tests. It sucks and can’t even do basic calculations or comprehension let alone anything beyond that.

Max level subscriber, it’s a nice to have but was hoping for more.
Things that were able to be accomplished with frontier models alone are locked behind limited included ‘Computer’ credits. This is akin to tactics utilized by cable companies limiting “Unlimited” Internet. Even shadier, most predefined followup questions seem to require computer credits.
UPDATE: Such a SCAM! I had it with these guys. The mobile app can be modified without any app updates required. The behavior has since reverted but for a time defaulted to their “computer” search tab. WTF. This occurred after a backend change with no app update occurring. 🤬
There have been frequent changes to the apps UI with no clear user benefit (the app actually became more cumbersome as if changes were designed to lower overall token usage which resulted in suppressed response quality).
On top of the randomness inherent when using llm in general you must also contend with a Perplexity’s frequently changing approach to tool calls that makes it difficult to utilize for most serious work. Too much variation in how it responds despite extensive use of scaffolding.
The Company’s Mac app raises even larger issues. Perplexity is clearly willing to jeopardize the goodwill accumulated with early power users in its race to the bottom.

I think this is more of a scam
I downloaded this app probably a month to a month and a half ago, so I’ve really given it a go.
I haven’t been able to completely finish any task with this AI and it’s starting to seem pretty fishy:
The free version can’t really do much, so I opted for the $20-a-month version. Before making this choice, I asked it all about its plans and what it could and couldn’t do. It basically told me it could do everything at the $20 level. After I purchased it, it then told me it could not do the tasks I was asking for without upgrading to the next level, which is $200 a month. Then all of a sudden it started working! Only to get a notification that my credits are low??? What? I’d been told nothing about credits. Come to find out the developers gave everybody free credits to try the upgraded version, but didn’t tell anybody. I ended up using all of my free credits on dumb conversation questions that Google could’ve answered.
I emailed them about this. They said they were not willing to do anything about it, so I said, “Oh well, I’m not gonna pay $200 ever anyways.” I kept using the $20 version.
I’m trying to learn how to sew. I’ve made it very clear that I’m a beginner. That I’m looking for easy tutorials, that I can follow along in a step-by-step format. First was a very beginner pouch with a zipper. It told me the wrong directions multiple times. I had to unpick my work two times before I finally took the whole project apart and made it in five minutes with Google.
I’ve been using the same thread this whole time. Every time I’ve started a new project I’ve said hey do you remember all the stuff we’ve gone over. And it said yes and told me exactly what I’ve said..
my second project. A simple pair of fold over pants. I gave it a sample drawing of the item with measurements that didn’t fight adjustment, I provided pictures, links, videos (which I guess it can’t use) all the information. Again went over with it that I was a beginner I wanted an easy quick pattern I could actually finish. Explained what I was looking for, Easy right?
I just spent hours working on this project, it completely provided me the wrong directions multiple times. Luckily I was catching it and not actually cutting or sewing. I kept having to say remember such and such. And it would say yes sorry I got off track or something along those lines. Hours later, I’m still sitting here trying to figure out how to make these stupid pants that I don’t even wanna make anymore, and this AI literally told me that it gave me the wrong info again, and I should not continue with the project because I will end up messing up my fabric. After hours!!
I don’t understand what this is for if it can’t even provide less than 10 simple steps for a sewing project.
No matter what prompts I provide or what I tell it to do, this is the second time I fell for it and spent hours on a project that ended in failure. I am over it.

Updates Made it Worthless
This once great app has become a useless dispenser of incorrect information and stonewalls you if you ask it anything that’s even mildly controversial or not fully politically correct according to is disneyfied and extremely draconian standards. It’s borderline unusable now. TIP: VENICE AI IS A FAR SUPERIOR PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS, IS ACCURATE, TRANSPARENT, AND NOT CENSORED TO THE POINT OF USELESSNESS.
Pro version runs out of credits FAST
I’m no a developer, not a researcher and less than a week in I cannot upload more files. For context I also use grok, Gemini and Claude. None have stopped me in months. Not worth it at all. Claude has even let me upload over 50 images this week to analyze (TradingView charts). Don’t get this. Go to Claude or Grok
To expensive
$20 a month for the basic and $200 a month for everything?
Terrible customer support
The ai decided to build out some massive web app that burned through my entire subscription credits. Then when I tried to get support no one answered for days. Still waiting over two weeks to hear any thing back from anyone. Just ended up cancelling my subscription because their customer support is probably the worst I’ve ever seen…
Really?
I tried to ask a simple question. What type of palm tree am I looking at. Because I would not give my personal information it would not answer my question. The world has changed. Now simple information will cost you whether directly or indirectly. I would rather go to the library… the world is going backwards! Before you know it they'll be charges for dialing 911.
Overpriced
There should be at least a cheaper option. Like under $10 . $20 is too much
Terribly limited even at the pro level
I really tried to give this AI a fair chance, but I can’t recommend it. My experience with the Pro plan has been deeply disappointing. I keep running into limitations that other AI tools handle easily for the low price of $0, such as generating an image of a person eating pizza or unblurring an image. I’ve had enough, so I’ve canceled my Pro subscription and won’t be renewing it.
That’s not generate artwork
With ChatGPT it used to make my flyers for me Photos cartoons and Perplexity is telling me it does not have the abilities do that that I need to go ahead and go to Canva so I just paid you guys $200 and it can’t even do half of already what I needed to do. I want to refund so I can go back to ChatGPT. I don’t understand how you guys say. ChatGPT is Incorporated in it, but it can’t generate flyers.. I need this for business purposes only.
The Computer Ai agent
Their promo was all about the computer. Their terrible name for an AI agent. They could have literally named it anything but computer. It's extremely confusing.
That's not what I gave it one star for. I gave it one star because I specifically got this for the AI agent, and I ran out of credits within 24 hours. I was not doing anything extraordinary. Sure, it was only the $20 plan, but I have used multiple AI agents at this point. I thought I was going to be making a major upgrade after seeing the ad, and I got started explaining the AI agent a lot of stuff. I was only able to do that before my credits ran out for the entire month. It's extremely frustrating. I wasted hours of time onboarding the agent, and that's why I give it one star. I'm good on super expensive agents like this.

Why does this platform only give you a few answers then get all clingy, asking for money? Bye Felicia!
Expensive
I don’t think I should have to pay for answers
Support ignores support tickets
I jump through hoops to submit a support case and get ignored. This will always get 1 star after every update until they respond
Dangerous app

This app is to hurt women
And they give gastro issues and other problems

Annoying
This app can’t perform BASIC things. Embarrassing. Use Chat GBT
Pathetically Inaccurate
Can’t even get basic 6th grade math questions right . So much for AI..
Pro plan locked me out suddenly!
I’ve been using Perplexity Pro with a regional promotional subscription, and it worked smoothly for months-even while traveling internationally. Recently, the app started forcing phone verification, but it leads to a loop where numbers from one region are rejected while numbers from another are blocked due to the subscription’s regional coupon restrictions. This makes it impossible to log in on the desktop app even though there are months remaining on the Pro plan.
What’s confusing is that the same account still works fine on some mobile devices with no phone verification. For a paid service, getting locked out like this is frustrating-especially for users who travel. Please fix the login and verification flow so legitimate users aren’t stuck.

Pro plan gave me no credits for complex questions.
My pro plan has given me no credits for complex questions. I thought I was supposed to get 600 a month. This limit on complex questions is new. You pay over $200 for an annual fee and have no complex question answers that require research available. I call take a couple hours of more and try to trouble shoot it with them. When I get spare time I will try. It sure if it will be resolved.
Bad company being bad
Straight up just hope you guys don’t make it.
Connections
I connected my Apple health and it told me it could read the info. So does that mean it’s only for the company to read? Why would they want it over the AI? Why connect it?
Oh and I really dislike the subscriptions models. Pro isn’t really pro if we are still locked out of features.
We are sheeple cuz we pay for things that have no business on a subscription model.

I just hate AI
I miss when people could do things themselves. Also, every single AI-using person is INSUFFERABLE.
Not much of a preview
I couldn’t even listen to the different kinds of voices that are available in order to pick one to set it up and I couldn’t even ask questions and get answers because there’s a limit on how much you can do so I can’t even tell if this is a worthwhile product or not and I’m not gonna waste my time and I’m not gonna be paying any money for some product that is so shortsighted to not even let me see what it is and how it works to male a decision to invest in it. Good luck with that model!
Try’s to upsell you on subscription
After seeing plenty of ads talking about Perplexity, I decided to give it a try. I signed up for the free trial for Perplexity Pro and the AI constantly failed to meet generation times compared to other AI when given the same prompt. When it provides you with multiple prompt questions to further dial in what you’re trying to do it will purposely only give you prompts in which you can use if you have Perplexity max subscription or Perplexity computer even though you’re already paying for the pro version that whole time the app will purposely try to upsell you. I would not recommend this app to anyone.
Broken billing and zero transparency
I signed up for Perplexity Pro today and immediately regretted it. The subscription shows as active and paid through next month, but inside the app my account is still tied to an old billing date. The result: it says I have 0 credits until the 15th, as if I never paid. There is no clear explanation, no obvious way to fix the billing date, and no in‑app refund option.
Because I subscribed through iOS, I had to jump through extra hoops with Apple’s refund system instead of Perplexity taking responsibility and making things right from their side. For a paid, supposedly “pro” product, this is unacceptable. When you pay for a subscription, you should get what you paid for immediately, without having to debug their account system or chase refunds through a maze of links.
Until Perplexity fixes their billing logic and makes refunds and plan details transparent, I don’t recommend giving them your payment info.

AI is good, App sucks
Come on Perplexity developers, wake up!! Here’s what we need: 1. More font types and font size options 2. User adjustable chat/content/paragraphs width 3. Library sidebar with chats that can stay open and where chats can be deleted from the sidebar 4. Export to PDF in the app

Misleading pricing and constant upselling
I downloaded this app expecting a straightforward experience, but was immediately pushed to upgrade to Pro just to use basic features.
After purchasing Pro, I thought that would unlock everything - but when I opened the app again, I was prompted to upgrade to an even higher tier (Pro Max). This feels very misleading and frustrating.
The pricing structure is not transparent, and it gives the impression that you never actually get full access, no matter what you pay.
If you’re going to have multiple tiers, please make it clear upfront instead of constantly pushing users to pay more after they’ve already subscribed.
Not a good user experience.

Stuck in over use, computer mode !
If you accidentally click computer mode, you can never get out of computer mode and then it uses up your entire plan in less than a month. Not cool, this is not how much money I wanted to spend, and there is no way to get out of computer mode!
