Freezing
The app is freezing when you click certain rooms. After the last update this became an issue. It’s not just one room but multiple rooms so deleting bulbs and re-adding rooms would be incredibly time consuming.
Can’t connect anymore!
Ever since the updates I cannot connect the app to the bridge at least once a week now! All lights basically left on till it connects on its own again. Turned off phone then back one, disconnected bridge then back on. Nothing!
Overly Complicated
Worst UX. Too much confusion around motion detection and half of my automations never run. This app takes the simplest concept of turning something on or off and makes it into a puzzle that you spend hours trying to solve. Support? Here’s an article about something that has nothing to do with the issue you described. Takes less effort to walk around the house and just leave the lights on.
Inconsistent
Incredibly inconsistent when it decides to work.
Do not connect an account!!!!
Hue tricked me to set up an account to migrate to a bridge pro. But performing the migration will mess up HomeKit and won’t work anyway because none of your devices will work without resetting each one. Zero stars
Doesn’t work anymore
Guess I can now get rid of my remaining apple products and delete my spotify 🤷🏼♀️

Why, Hue? Why??
I feel like every time there’s an update the app is harder to use. Accessories (like the Tap Switch) require extra steps and duplicating scenes and that doesn’t even work. Hue isn’t the only option out there anymore and they are quickly losing my confidence. More complexity isn’t better.
Reliable
We have been using Hue for years and are very satisfied. Primarily we use for turning lights on and off at certain times of the day. Great home gadget!
Poor performance in recent builds
App performance has become terrible recently. Hue has moved to redrawing the screen on open and causing a delay in access to the lights that are already rendered on the display.
New use case is:
1. Open App
2. See lights you want to turn off/on
3. Wait for screen to flash Hue logo
4. Wait for app to redraw the light sliders it just removed to flash a Hue logo
5. Finally be able to turn on kitchen light.
