Can’t recommend.
Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on this app I would not recommend it. You have to pay for the subscription and then you have to pay for each edit you want to make to each and every photo (and each photo requires multiple edits). If you have the money then go for it. Otherwise, taking a picture with your phone and using the built in iPhone photo editing tools is more effective even if a little slower.

Won’t let me download my own photos
The app itself works pretty well but because I’m in the free trial period, Photomyne isn’t letting me download my own photos. I spent many hours scanning my photos so that I can create a slideshow for my mother’s memorial - and now, without any form of prior warning from Photomyne - the app is not letting me download my own photos because I am still in the free trial period of my membership. I have contacted Customer Service and offered to bypass the free trial period and pay whatever I need to pay today so that I can download my photos today.
I will update this review if/when Photomyne lets me download my photos in a timely fashion so that I can use them to create slideshow for my mother’s memorial.

Cannot use this with apple phone photos.
Watermark suddenly pops up on photos
It’s taken me two days to scan almost 300 photos. I was almost finished when I noticed the watermark popped up on every single photo! If you’re going to do that, then the watermark needs to be on there the moment I scan my pictures!

Read the privacy policy. You don’t control what they do with you pics, info or data associated with the pics.

Whole app is useless without payments. Use google photo sacn instead
Misleading marketing
I purchased this thinking that every feature it advertised came with the paid subscription. It scans well, but so does my phone without the app. When I wanted to restore the photo, it wanted me to buy credits to do it. Umm….nope. I already paid for this pitiful app. My bad. So you’re basically paying for something your phone can do anyway. And ChatGPT will beautifully restore your photos for free.

The AI is ret*rded. I have a photo that it keeps turning into a negative. There’s no way it’s this dumb? Or, when it splits a picture because the AI is so dumb that it thinks it’s two pictures. This is what I pay $24 a month for? As bad as this is, it should be free of charge.
This App Sucks You in and Then Charges Extra for Editing

Nearly impossible to cancel
This app is a rip off. You can’t edit old photos unless you buy credits like a game and then you literally can’t cancel because the cancel membership button just redirects you to a screen that shows you subscribed.
Edit: Customer service contacted me and refunded me in full which I appreciate but I still feel the editing features are extremely minimal unless you buy the ai credits and don’t justify the cost of the app overall.

Sorry but this app is very misleading on their Facebook reals. You cannot try this app; they want you to pay immediately which is total BS in my opinion. You should be able to try this app on perhaps 2-3 photos to see if you’d like to purchase it. I recommend avoided this deceptive app

I love the idea of this app but find it impossible to not have reflections of me on the picture. I’ve even gone as far as purchasing a music stand; however, that didn’t help. The features in the App are not up to date. Sharpening the eyes does not look natural. I can’t seem to sharpen blurry or out of focus photos. I also find that many of photos are not “cropped” correctly. If you try to scan something like an invitation or card, most times it’s scanned or cropped as two separate photos. You definitely need to upgrade the features available on your App. In addition, I was very happy to see there was an AI Restore feature until I tried it & none of the people in the photos I tried it on looked anything like them. I was just hoping it would fix the eyes or skin , etc, not totally change how they looked. I thought the colorization option was genius but found it was more of a hit or miss. I’d love to see these features updated because I’m finding that for $20 a year, I’m rarely using the App.
Has potential, but needs work
I downloaded this app to help my mother scan in old family photos she doesn’t have space for but can’t bear tossing. I love the idea of this app, and if it all worked the way the app thinks it works, it’d be great. The app thinks it is better than it is.
Please develop a way to delete albums, and a way to navigate back to the “manage duplicates” screen once you’re done initially scanning things. Lots of simple, basic things like this are missing. Hopefully updates will continue to roll out and it will get better and better.
