This app sucks because whenever you try to make something after some time it try’s to force you to pay them and you can’t screenshot the picture because they put “worth the effort” and or something like that do not download it is the worst app I have ever used I don’t recommend Photoleap at all!!!!! Oh lightrixs pls make it free and add free if is not already 😡🐘💨 and 0 stars and pls make the pro version free and not money consuming at all

i started using this app probably 2 years back and it was one of the best things i had ever discovered. it had surrealism settings and anything i typed into the ai creator would give me something so different and simply just cool. now the image generator sucks BAD and it lacks the same simplicity of great imagery it used to have. i don’t get images that i’m looking for anymore. they always end up looking the same no matter the prompts and all of the art styles are plain out boring. now it seems this app is requiring you to pay to even do simple things at all. i’ll give them a chance to fix it but other than that i wouldn’t recommend this app otherwise as i would have 2 years ago. wish you the best of luck fixing this developers. we are counting on you!!

Going downhill
I got this app way back in 2018, it’s what started my graphic designing career. It was called photofox back then. Once it got rebranded, bought out, acquired etc., I knew it wouldn’t be good. It took a long time, but now you have to pay to use quite literally any function on this app. If you want a photo editing app, there are thousands of competitors that will give you more for less. I gave it 2 stars because it used to be good

I had this app for years and it was amazing. Recently the projects part stopped load in which sucks. 0 support now. Everything is AI. Bummer because I was a loyal customer. The projects files was a huge part of my editing and fot it to not load now sucks

Enlight Member Transfer
I had previously purchased the app to access the services and am now being forced to no longer use it. & the next alternative option is to jump on to the new app where the only way to use it is to purchase a yearly subscription. Sounds atrocious.
Won’t let you try even one picture unless you buy it
Can’t try it out at all, collects your information and asks for a rating , you take a picture then you have to pay to see it so I’m not a huge fan of that

Here is my experience with Photoleap. After never even hearing about this app, never even thought of AI photo generator apps at all, I received an email for a receipt for a subscription for a year of service after a free trial ended. Again, never signed up for it and never even researched it. I tried to ask for a refund since I’ve never tried to use this app and they told me I couldn’t be refunded because it was an automated charge after a free trial. I’m furious and they are no help. This app has scam written all over it. Be careful. You’ve been warned.
Get one image then crashes
I've been using this app for a few years but it's become unusable. I'm only able to get one scene made and saved and then the app freezes up my phone for a minute or so and then the app fully crashes and exits. I expected better for a paid app.
Support was contacted but the issue was never resolved with no timeline given of when it might be fixed.

Everything is behind a paywall
This app slowly and slowly over the years became a pay-to-use app. I used to have access to a lot of things I needed on a daily basis that I can no longer use without paying $8 A WEEK. This app is basically useless now. Can’t even make cut outs without premium. This app has seriously gone downhill.

Just Google it, many people say the same. I cancelled my subscription FOUR MONTHS AGO, it ended in November. I just randomly got charged a yearly subscription fee, everything in my account and Apple ID confirms it’s been long cancelled but they are just charging people anyway hoping they don’t notice.

Use to be great
I’ve had this app for years and used to love it. They kept improving it, and it was getting better all the time. Then, out of the blue, they decided to become a net nanny. Anything even somewhat adult makes the AI features stop working. Because of that, I started using other apps.
In my opinion, I should be able to modify my own pictures freely. To me, it feels like this app is looking at my pictures.

DO NOT TRUST THIS APP
I had a very bad experience with Photoleap. I hadn’t used the app for many months and had deleted it long ago. I also checked my Apple subscriptions and saw nothing active, so I genuinely believed everything was canceled.
Out of nowhere, I was charged again for a full annual subscription. No warning email about renewal, or anything. It turns out the subscription was made through their website, not Apple, and this was not clearly communicated. There was no obvious reminder, no clear warning, and no easy way to confirm cancellation.
When I contacted support, I only received automated, copy-paste responses referring me to their policy. There was no real customer service, no meaningful review of my case, and no clear confirmation that my account is fully canceled and won’t be charged again.
After reading other reviews here, it’s clear this has been happening to many users for a long time. If you’ve had a similar experience, I encourage you to leave an honest review and report it through official channels so this pattern gets proper attention.

This app used to be great. The AI generated is horrible. I’m specific and give it every detail simple and it fails every time. This app used to have frame which they got rid of. this app used to have photos that you could use which they replaced with AI, which is nothing like it used to be. I do not recommend this app.
Abandonware
I gave Photoleap a 5-Star review three years ago. Since then, they’ve consistently removed features. They’ve removed Discord and Instagram support. No new features have been added in 18 months. There used to be thriving community. We’ve all met up elsewhere. Lightricks has abandoned Photoleap since they began LTX development. My last yearlong subscription just expired. If they don’t release all the pro features for free, I’m moving on. That’s too bad because I don’t like learning the quirks of new software.
App stuck behind paywall and entirely ruined
This app used to be an art editing tool that could be used for free with a few paywall features. I used to be able to erase backgrounds of images, or overlay multiple images on top of each other. I forgot why I deleted this app, and come to realise after redownloading it… I can’t even erase the background of an image anymore. I have to use AI to try and come up with a new background. And even that feature is under a pay wall so even if I use it with their “try” feature, I can’t screenshot it (it looked bad and was not what I originally wanted anyways) because it blacked out th screenshot with “worth a try”. This is NOT a recommended app. Try something else
Horrible App
Why have a Face Swap option, if it doesn’t actually swap the face?! What’s the point? You have a few pics, practically all the same, except someone isn’t smiling in one, but is in the other. You swap those faces and the person still isn’t smiling. I’m so confused. Isn’t that the point of Face SWAP?! You swap one face for the other???? What a waste!!!

I used this app for years, it was one of my favorites for fun photography. To go on it today and realize all of the features I have used it for now require a subscription was disappointing. Deleted the app. Everyone is getting too full of themselves recently, thinking I would pay for these things. It was a good app before it got greedy but it in no way is good enough to have to pay for anything.
Don’t use this app it’s not as good as it used to be
The main issue is the subscription: $59.99 to use the app is insane. If it were 20 a year, that would be more reasonable. I remember when this app, in its prime, had its subscription optional; now they want to scam people out of money just to use the basic features.

I somehow signed up for the free trial, used the meh app a few times and then can not get them to stop billing me multiple times a year for like $69.99 and 39.99. There are WAY better AI photo generators out there, save your money and time!

As with many shady AI apps, this one is subpar in its offerings and provides very poor support. I have cancelled my account two years in a row and am still being charged. I emailed them about receiving proof of cancellation and they simply spoke about not being able to issue a refund (which I didnt ask for or mention in my email.) I caution anyone considering this app as the cancellation process simply is not honored and their customer service is too busy using canned responses to care.

Somehow I got signed up for a subscription I didn’t want and never used and they wouldn’t do the right thing and issue a refund. Will be sure to never use this app or anything owned by the company.
Became worse
For some reason the ai has gotten way dumber than before. Sometimes I just need a textured background and I used to be abled to do that but now it just puts a woman’s face on the photo willy nilly. Or when you put the frame on ig reels instead of square it stretches the objects you want vertically. It seems like it just completely ignores the prompts and just grab stuff online with some modifications.

I have been charged $40 the last 3 years. I’ve asked for a refund every time. Nothing. I genuinely hate this app and the developer behind it. Evil and pathetic. May the Lord rebuke you.

I even subscribe to their video editing app as well, which has been my main video editing app for around the same amount of time, the video app was a necessity for a subscription for me, I had no choice, and just like every other app these days they are pricey. I subscribe to a plethora of apps and due to the increase of life costs for the world as a whole, I had to choose what apps I kept and which ones I lost. This one always provided just enough options for me to use it and still produce results at the free level, but NOW that’s completely changed, they are charging a subscription for basic everyday filters now, basic cropping, I mean I can’t even have more than 2 layers without having to pay! If you want an app that can do everything for a budget this isn’t it, it’s barely a free app at this point-sure you can have it on your phone but using it is an entirely different thing altogether. Imagine becoming so money hungry you lose a 10 year long customer.. change your business practices you don’t deserve the customers for what you charge.

Horrible basic editing replacement to Enlight
Maybe this is great for some stuff I’m not interested in (and therefore not spending $60/year for; I already have photoshop), but this is a HORRIBLE forced Enlight replacement for quick mobile photo adjustments! 😭
