App was great about 5 years ago. Now the steps are not explained well, the methods used to solve problems are complicated and are illogical. Also, the Google ads took the last bit of patience I used to have
Fails to recognize all photos shared
With all of the positive reviews, I had high hopes. First time I tried using the app, I added photos for basic 4th grade math questions to find better ways to explain things to my kid and it gave the “we couldn’t recognize your problem” message and tried redirecting me to use Google’s AI for “follow up questions”. Every single photo of every problem prompted the same message. Maybe the app was good and maybe Google bought out the app to move users to their servers. Idk but the app is

photomath used to useful, now it can only recommend that you type your question into google. or misread it and refuse to reanalyze.

This is not good when i take a photo it switches up the whole problem like when i put how many grams it switches and says how many lemons like that is not the problem i wanna give it a. 1 in a half-but i cant so its a. 1

Can do some problems but not many. It will match it to the best problem it can find and most of the time it isn’t accurate.

I got the free trial on photo math plus, did not work for a SINGLE question. If the "plus" version is this bad imagine the regular.
why do i have to buy?
to see how subtraction problems are solved i still have to buy a subscription? the app did not use to be like this. also very crazy since kids and young adults utilize it most

I have spent $70 just for photomath to recommend me to use ai. It is not giving me answers and is very unhelpful.

I tried using this app hoping it would help me with math problems but instead I get the try the plus feature message every time. I don’t just want the answer I want to know how to do it for free.

Horrible app
When ever I take a picture of a math problem and it says “We couldn’t recognize your problem” or it thinks it’s a non math problem which is clearly not true
The calculator is wrong
Adding and subtracting fractions is fine but it can’t multiply and divide them. Made me fail my midterm and I’m good at math. I wasn’t even cheating. I was just using the calculator on the app

I have done 30 questions using this app and it has gotten everyone wrong but 3! This is ridiculous

Gets all the questions wrong and they just want money for plus you immediately get on the app and there already asking for money
Stay away
I’ve had this app for 3 years. Although I pay for the Plus, it has kicked me out at least 2 times and made me pay again? Even tho the year was not up. Once again it has kicked me out and never has there been any customer service to contact and ask for help. AVOID.
Matched solutions are always wrong
this app used to be helpful. now it has “matched solutions” where it just gives you answers from a different math problem wether it’s the same one or not? it doesn’t actually solve the problem you take pictures of. complete waste of a subscription. i tried to turn off matched solutions but there is no option to that I could find

Oh my god
The fact that this god awful app doesn’t work half the time is going to be the end of my entire life. Every single time. EVERY time, I take a picture of my god awful geometry problem. Woah! You’d expect to get an answer and go onto the next problem!! Apparently not. I beg, for once, to just be able to take a picture and get a direct answer. Not for the app to mistake a 1 as a 7. Or an 8 as a 5. Lord, I beg, for once let me cheat on this god awful homework in peace. Consider being an actual good app that knows how to do its job, then, and only then, get back to me. This dirt wire back clanker can not do the most basic problem relating to law of sines. This is sad considering how I am trying to use ai to do my hw because I’m a bum but the tin skin can’t even do the problem right itself.

Always said it couldn’t solve a problem even basic stuff and when it does solve something it’s completely wrong and told me if I want accurate answers I need to pay

Could be so much better
The app would be so much better if you could adjust and align the page properly. Instead you have to take a picture straight on, not at an angle.
If there are many math problems in the photo, the app gets confused which one you want to focus on.

Step by step my butt
My biggest problem with math as a subject is I don’t know why symbols or exponents do the things that they do, so of course I’ll need an app to answer that why. Only for it to be blocked by a pay wall, smh get this out of my face.
Don’t fall for free trial!
It said I had a free trial for 7 days then I would get charged…well they charged me right away..I reported it and they refused to refund me..BEWARE OF FREE TRIAL!!!

Good While It Lasted
You used to be able to just get on and use the calculator. No “access to camera” needed. Now, the app is useless with full access to your camera. Ofc.

Idk what happened to this app but it wont give me a single real answer. It replaces my problems with similar ones and wont give me the answers i need.
