Enhance tool won’t work
My whole point for getting this app was to make some older pictures. Look better in the tool doesn’t work. It’s also really hard to find a way just to and haze the picture not remove background not change anything very simple. Just make it look clear, not blurry. It was really hard and when I found the tool show me something went wrong for at least eight times.

I was charged during a free trial, despite cancelling day one of the trial. I appealed twice w Apple - they denied and said nothing they can do - they advised to go to the developer. It’s extremely difficult - actually impossible to contact photoroom. So your screwed if you need help. All they do is provide instructions on how to request refund thru Apple which I already did . I keep getting bounced between Apple and photo room. If this happens to you - get your bank to do a charge back for unauthorized use of card - cancelled subscription. I am asking for my refund before I have to do that.
Trying to double charge
I have over a month left in my annual pro subscription but the app is threatening to delete hundreds of my designs if I don’t pay for a pro plan which I already have! Unacceptable.

i used to use this so freqeuntly. the app says "a problem has occurred" everytime i upload pictures to remove background. i've deleted and reinstalled. it's unfortunate, ill be deleting and won't be coming back.

Ad shows pay version
Ad shows photos moving, download says free, and then you give access to photos in settings and only after all that does it tell you to pay money to utilize what the ads showed. 😩 ugh

I pay for this and now the ai edit flat out doesn’t work and errors out every time. I am also not a power user but the last few times it just doesn’t work. I’m about to switch apps at this point.

For so long they allowed unlimited photos for the bulk edit now they wanna limit it to 500 a month. After this month I’m done.
BROKEN
I used the app for close to a year now and loved it!! I have even recommended it to people. Now it’s trash! I deleted it! I’m not paying for it just to use one feature. The retouch feature was the number 1 thing I used. Now they want to charge for it when I’ve used it for FREE with unlimited usage for nearly a year. They’re just money hungry at this point so I’m moving on to a different app. I’ve already found one that offers FREE retouch

Going downhill
I’ve been using Photoroom for editing my product photos for Etsy, and when I first started, I genuinely loved it. It made background removal and product presentation so much easier, and it really helped elevate my listings.
However, over time, the experience has gone downhill, especially considering that I’m paying for the service. The biggest issue is how limited everything has become. Features that used to feel flexible and useful now come with strict “allowances.” For example, I’ve only used the batch feature a few times, yet I’m already being told I’ve used 80% of my limit. It feels like everything is being restricted more and more, which doesn’t make sense for a paid subscription.
Another major disappointment is the background generation. Before, I used to get multiple background options to choose from, which made it easy to find something that matched my product. Now, it only gives one option at a time, and I have to keep retrying over and over just to get a different result. Even then, the quality has dropped significantly. The AI often doesn’t match the product properly, creates distortions, and the final images just don’t look realistic or professional anymore.
It’s frustrating because this used to be a tool I relied on and really enjoyed using for my business. But at this point, it no longer feels worth the cost. The quality has decreased while the limitations have increased.
Unfortunately, this will probably be the last time I pay for it. I used to recommend it, but I can’t say I would anymore.

Look somewhere else if your wanting Ghost Model or AI model
Great background remover tool- much better than most I e tried.

Just took 6 attempts to make a skirt from an above the knee to a mid calf EXPLICITLY requested and it continues giving above the knee and everything EXCEPT what you ask.
Save your money and TRY ANOTHER APP
Ghost mannequin and AI model does not seem to understand precise commands and has taken 5-7 attempts to get correct that all count towards your plan limits.
Examples;
Auto gives you back view when explicitly requesting front view.
Ghost model gives flat lay view submitted instead of the selected Ghost Model. Have contacted CS multiple times and issue continues. Used up most of limit due to having to “resubmit” so it does feel as if they are trying to force you into upgrading from Pro to the Max. Why would I want to pay more for something I know ISNT WORKING??
Add pockets where there are none and again multiple requests to correct counts against your plan limits.
Makes capris out of full length trousers- 6 detailed specific requests to correct before giving up.
The problem is not so much the corrections themselves, as it is that you’re paying for each correction request.
Stay with free version unless you’re okay with this.
Should have been able to have 100 items, corrections required knocked that down to 47

Disappointed
I initially purchased the Pro version so that I could access all features. They changed accessibility to some features that are now 150% higher with those same features. Do not purchase for extra features that you will not be able to access!!! I paid $90 for those features and here I am, a few weeks later, completely screwed over. I’m going to try to get my money back.

Greed is ruining this app.
Every single feature that I rely on and specifically use this app for eventually becomes limited or unavailable for me to use every time this app updates. I downloaded it purely for the formerly-free Retouch Feature, but now it is now longer available for me to use as of the most recent update a few days ago. I have no need for this app otherwise, and I will be deleting it on both of my devices if this issue persists, as it has gotten completely out of hand.
Company non responsive
I cancelled my subscription during the free trial period and was billed and have continued to be billed since January. I’ve sent emails about this to the help linked email account on the website and the untimely response I received was “Our support has moved to chat! …We won’t be responding to emails anymore, so please reach out through our chat instead.”
So why have a contact support email address???
I have submitted, as requested, the information in chat monthly and the response I received is “Your request has been forwarded to a team member who can help locate your subscription and process your refund request. We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible. This might take a few hours. Thank you so much for your patience”

It was once good
Stop updating it and leave it the way it was. Every time you change it up it becomes wack. It was once the best app on the market. Now it’s basic and the worst app on the market. Leave it the way it was. Every time you change things up with it it becomes more and more frustrating because I can’t do all the good things I once could. Plus it’s so expensive i don’t want to use it anymore. I found an app that does everything your app does and it doesn’t cost a fortune like yours does. You took away all the fun. Even the free features are gone and it makes not ever want to use your app again. Ima stick to my new app I found and enjoy all the free features and pay less to use it. You got to greedy. Product and support - unreliable & unresponsive
Updating my review: This issue has now persisted for over a month. As a paid Pro subscriber, app remains unusable despite multiple support attempts. The only solution offered was a temporary “coupon”, not a fix.

It’s been 3 solid days with only a single bot response promising it might take “a few hours.” Product and support have become totally unreliable and unresponsive.

Not working
Frequently find myself having to DELETE the app and reinstall when I take a picture and then the picture is lost in cyberspace. Something has changed and OFC they want you to spend $ 🙄 will be looking for something else to use for my photos.

This app used to be so nice and easy to use now it's just full of AI slop and constantly doesn't work no matter how many times I restart it or update it.

I’ve been using this app for years and never had a problem. Now all of a sudden none of the tools work I can’t remove objects from photos and it’s frustrating!
Everything is MONEY…Disappointed
I had this app for over two years and I was obsessed. I got used to the changes and adapted to them as time went, even though I was not very happy. I used the free options and was pretty happy with it. Now, I can’t use it anymore because as a free user, I reached my credit limit. This is so UNFAIR. I’m not paying the outrageous price of eighty something dollars just to edit pictures.
Charged for trial
I wanted to try this as an option for social media content to create videos from stills. First of all the app didn’t work. Second, when I accepted a free trial it charged me the weekly subscription. Then the content I was trying to create was for their upgraded tier. I was offered a trial that I accepted the trial and then they charged me for that as well. Please use caution when dealing with this company.
TERRIBLE APP
as of a month and a half ago something happened to this app that changed my opinion of it completely. Something happened after one of the recent iOS updates that totally changed the use of the camera on the app which I use on an iOS device and it now continuously fails where you have to take a picture with the phone camera app first then go onto this app in the photo library section and find the picture and then edit it from there so in the end it's just not worth all this extra aggravation and quite frankly after learning about the huge amounts of bad reviews concerning these issues and this company still has not figured it out tells me a lot. So for those reasons, I AM OUT!
Paid for max not worth it!
I paid for max and I’ve NEVER been able to use the AI video generator. When I do I’m told something went wrong. Major disappointment.

The bait and switch regarding the use of the studio shot feature is insulting. Now my listings are inconsistent because of the change they forced with a recent update. I recommend a friend this app and he too has ceased use due to the greed of the developers. Classic story.

New updates essentially forced free users to pay to use the service.
Almost a year I’ve being using this with no issues, I’ve loved it until the recent updates. I mainly use the retouch tool to touch up some product images with no issues until they changed it so each retouch “action,” not export or different images used to retouch, now counts as a ai image usage percentage. It’s capped at 100% but I end up hitting the quota after retouching 2-3 images. I’m forced to wait another month for the quota to refresh. Mind you, I only have 2-3/150 exports remaining which is diabolical. This app really disappoints me as it becomes more and more greedy, forcing its users to pay $15 to perform normal actions that we would’ve done for free without issues before the recent updates.
WHEN DO MY CREDITS RENEW???
The developers need to incorporate a meter in the app so we can gauge how many credits we’re using. They will say “You’ve used 81% of your credits…,” but we don’t have a countdown or anything. Also, the app used to tell us when our credits would renew, but that’s no longer available. So in other words, you want us to guess when our credits will renew? Another way of having us pay for the app, but not actually use it. It’s money over everything. Thank God we can cancel at anytime!

I cancelled my subscription the next day because I didn’t like their app and they still charged me for a month of usage. Just scammers.
Used to be great
Im coming on my 2nd year with this app and it used to be the greatest but now they are taking features away and adding more "tiers" for the features you originally pay a year for to try to get more money out of you. Now my business has to take backgrounds out 1 at a time instead of in batches which used to be included in the year i paid for. This leads to huge amounts of time when i can just move onto another app and pay less for a 1 background at a time removal.
Can’t delete subscription
Biggest scam. I’ve been stuck with this subscription and can’t cancel it or delete my account. This is the worst. Why is it so hard to cancel this app? No other app is this hard. Be careful downloading this one, you will get stuck paying $13.00 per month. The emails respond saying they don’t answer emails. When you click cancel subscription it takes you to the HOW TO but it doesn’t work. LOL

Shadows
Working with the shadow generator is unbelievably frustrating. I use it for my artwork which hangs on the wall and the shadows are not designed for 2D wall art. Very disappointing. Adjusting the shadows angles is not possible users just get three useless choices and that’s the end of it. It’s ok for cleaning up backgrounds but even that comes with frustrations as it is not easy to make corrections to the AI’s idea of what the border is.
Crashes
I got to do a whole 4 pic it was awesome now it crashes :-(. I would have considered paying but not for that lol
Glitchy
I have had this app for over a year. When I first started using it I loved it. It worked well and the price was good for what you got. The features keep changing and as they change the stuff you get for your price is getting less and less. Not to mention it takes so long to edit my photos now due to glitchy features. Why ask for more money for less features and the measly features you’d get are glitchy and annoying to use.
