Beware of free trial
I wanted to try the app to help care for some of my plants. It told me all of my plants were healthy, which was not true. I sent an email to them through the app to cancel my free trial. I did not hear back from them and today I was billed $39.95. I sent another email asking for a refund. I will let you know how it turns out so far, I have not been impressed. It has been three months and three emails later. Still no refund.

Not Reliable
I canceled this ap along with the premium subscription as it was a very unreliable identifier and did not provide useful diagnosis. I tested the identify feature on a couple of known plants at the nursery and at best it was correct 50% of the time. Not worth the money.

Completely Useless. It misidentified half the plants I showed it. It told me one was healthy that was clearly sick and has been for a while When it told me a plant was sick, it usually gave the same diagnosis, so vague that it covers practically anything that could be wrong with a plant:

Total Rip Off
Have owned this app for nearly three months, have tried to “identify” multiple plants, the app’s results are wrong 90% of the time. Need convincing? I actually visited a lawn and garden store, tried to “identify” 10 different plants, all of which had the correct name of the plant on it’s pot, the app failed to “identify” all 10 plants. Adios, ChatPlant AI, you are a waste of time and money 😡

It cannot identify any of my plants so obviously it can’t diagnose any issues either. Terrible support, have contacted them twice to no avail. Don’t waste your $

No cancel function on app
This app doesn’t have the cancellation on the app and the customer service didn’t respond my email for cancellation instead charged my money. The app doesn’t appear as its advertisement.
Misidentified every plant, no useful advice
First of all, I signed up for 7 day trial and it charged me for a full year immediately. When I try to cancel it says I’m already paid for a year.
Tried using, app misidentified every plant I tried. The diagnosis feature was so general it’s useless. “Yellow leaves” or “spotted leaves”… yes I can see that, I’m not blind. The treatment suggestions are also useless because it clearly cant decide what’s wrong, so a bunch of totally different suggestions like adjust moisture or light, or have soil tested. Total waste of money I didn’t consent to spending. Emailed support for refund. Will update with resolution.

The first window that you are presented with after launching the app for the first time is an offer to sign up for a 7-Day Free Trial, with the Cancel button on the top right “hidden” from the user by making the color of the text a shade lighter than the background on which this prompt resides on. This could trick users into thinking that the only way to proceed is by signing up.

Please save yourself time. Not like anything in the advertisement. This is a poor version of an AI. I’ve scanned 5 plants to “identify “ them just to test it out and they were all identified wrong. It was pretty comical actually. The diagnostic option is very generic and broad. It will say “ need nutrition “ without giving specifics
No reminder of subscription
I know it’s on me to remember to cancel a subscription too, but it would have been nice to receive some reminder before getting charged.
Misidentified 4 out of 5 common houseplants.
That’s it. The app could not correctly identify the 4 plants I tested it out on… aloe vera was the only correct identification.

Downloaded to try it. Scanned a few plants in my yard. Came up with incorrect identification on all of them. Best one was it identified a shrub as a vine. Don’t waste your time.

General Help is Not Helpful
Diagnosed my plant as having yellow leaves. Recommendation: too much or too little water, too much or too little sun, might need nutrients, might need pest control. Like having a doctor say, “yeah, you should try some things to get better.” Not helpful at all.

This app could not recognize the simplest of plants! Not even grass. The thing that bothered me most is it gave recommendations about what to do to help the plant without knowing what kind it was. I would give zero stars if that was possible.

Doesn’t work as advertised
App claims to immediately spot what’s wrong and to offer a specific solution. It does not. Instead you get a list of possible issues, often including both “underwatering” and “overwatering”. Thanks. That’s absolutely useless. If it worked as shown it might be good. In reality, it’s of no help.
Dumb
If you have to pay for an app it should show you that it actually works first. Does nothing but make you sign up.
Honesty is important
Your ad promoting this app claimed that it was free. A 7-day free trial is not a free app. I don’t want to do business with a company that is not honest and I encourage others to avoid such companies as well.

It told me my plant was dehydrated. When all I give it is water. Too much at times, in fact. I wouldn’t spend a dime on this app.

Free trial which is supposed to alert to prior to the seven days so you can cancel. Did not happen was charged $39 even though I canceled during that time. App does not work and doesn’t have a 98% accuracy rate, misidentified a plant three different times before it got it right . Then it would miss identify the same plant on a different day. Does not give you tips on what to add such as the commercial implies as in Coke, baking soda, milk, etc..

I tried to identify my plant to remedy it , the app immediately offers a free trial and 35+ $ a month. Deleted. I am tired of these scam apps …
