Deceptive rating structure
Gotta love the intro that includes “thanks for leaving a 5 star review!” that forces you to accept leaving the 5 star rating before you can even open the app. No thanks. Deleted.

I took a pic of my Aplomado Falcon, it was identified as an American Kestrel, not even close, I took a pics of my Trident Maple Bonsai, it was identified as Pacific Poison Oak, WRONG!!

Inaccurate- couldn’t even ID plants correctly
I hoped I could get a diagnosis for issues with houseplants and outdoor plants. It would either say “healthy plant” (which missed clear indications of a problem) and/or identified the plant incorrectly. Anytime it gave a diagnosis, it was a standard diagnosis that included every possibility. You still had to figure out which issue your plant is having. Too much or too little water, stress, too much or too little light, maybe a bug issue. Really? That’s not helpful. No thanks…don’t waste your time. It’s difficult to cancel the app subscription/ free trial!

I bought the Life Time subscription of this app which they no longer offer. And I can’t restore my subscription so the only offer is to start a new one which I’m not going to. I’ve emailed asking about this however nobody’s reached back out. Very disappointed because I enjoyed the app.
Scam
Despite the fact that I configured the app to remind me before it renewed, it did not. By default, it charges your account $9.99 a week. If you get this, cancel right away, or you will find that you paid $10 to use the app for two weeks (one week free and the next when you forgot to cancel in time).
Deceitful Deceptive Money Grab
I downloaded the app and read the most recent reviews. This is just another pick pocket pretending to be a friendly source of information. I have plenty of books that I can use for free, and I know nurseries who freely share information without having to get blindsided by a subscription. When the grid goes down I keep using my personal plant library while your subscribers have nothing to show for their hundreds of dollars in fees. This is only suitable for a beginner or a lazy nursery owner.

Why make me waste my time if it’s not free
I hate wasting my time filling out a dumb quiz for it to slap a price in my face. Nice touch to try to get a review before it shows me the price tag too. Just slimy business tactics and I hate it

Couldnt identify the one plant i needed it for, asked me to rate it before it even let me use it, then asked for 10$ a week to be ad free? A paper calendar and google do the same thing?

This app says you can cancel but when you try it keeps the yearly subscription. Now I’m out the yearly cost and the app keeps trying to get me to sign up and pay again to allow me to use it.

This is partly my fault, because I should have cancelled right away, but this app charges $10 PER WEEK for this service, which means a $40 monthly charge on your credit card if you don’t check your bill frequently. Major fail on my part, but this charge is excessive for the service, in my opinion. So unless it’s worth the money to you, don’t use this app. Lesson learned the hard way by me.

I uploaded your App because I came across a vine that coulder be Poison Ivy!!! Your App could not identify the vine even aftereable trying several times!!! Out of ALL plants, your App should definitely be able to identify the poisonous or dangerous ones!!! Very disappointed!!! I want to cancel but you've hidden that informatione!!! That doesn't show much integrity! I will delete the app but I better not be charged! $40/mo is REDICULOUS!!!

I used this to determine to identify and get info on how to kill weeds in my yard. Instead it identified, told me the weeds were thriving and how to keep them thriving. Canceled free trial immediately!
SCAM you’ve been warned
Only download this app if you’re willing to pay $9.99 a WEEK for something you can do for FREE with google image search. I will continue to use the plantid app as well as the mushroomid app which is worth the annual subscription fee. (Less than a month of this money stratagem app.)

Too expensive
I can’t cancel my subscription to this app., so I had to send an email. Having to pay $9.99 a week is ridiculous. That is $519.38 a year. What a rip off
Charged me for free trial
The app offered a free one-week trial. I accepted and then canceled. A short time later after I had the trial cancelled the app offered me another free one-week, so I accepted again, but then got charged. I’ve been looking around both on the app and the website to contact, but can’t find any way to explain my situation to anyone. What a waste.

Cannot identify plants
Got the app to identify plants I found interesting and wasn’t sure their species. After failing to identify over a dozen plants I have up trying and deleted.
Absolutely outrageous
Every time I try to identify a plant with this app, it tells me to subscribe the free trial for $10 and when I get rid of the offer it doesn’t even tell me what plant species I’m looking at! To anyone who is reading this in thinking about getting the app don’t. It’s a complete scam and waste of time and storage space.-mr. Drake
