So Many Spam Emails!
As soon as I downloaded this app and put in my email address to sign up, I was immediately inundated with spam emails. Within about two hours of downloading the app, I received over 200 emails asking me to click links and verify codes and such. When I canceled my subscription and deleted the app, the emails immediately stopped. What in the world??

Worked well enough for a while, but then they added “AI” (plagiarism machine) bs and it’s been downhill ever since. I just want something that will remind me to water my plants, I don’t particularly relish using an app that contributes to the “ai” (plagiarism machine) plague currently destroying both our habitats.

Major disappointment
Ads are crammed into every interaction and every screen. Features are totally incomplete without an active subscription, but the cost is absurd. Find a different app to track your plants because migrating off Planta is a massive waste of time.

Don’t fall for the free trial! I subscribed on June 9 for the seven day trial, and was charged for a full years subscription on June 12. 🤬
I purchased this to see what was wrong with my bush
This couldn’t even pull up my plant by photo or name search I have an acreage and I need sometime I can trust to find my plants. I am canceling and asking for a full refund! Not worth the money or time I spent trying to get this app to recognize my plant!
Struggle to Cancel Subscription
It is a struggle to cancel their subscription. I canceled before my free trail and they are still trying to charge my account. And now I can’t access my App Store because of it. Do not get this app.
Not free at all
First you need to sign up for an account to even get into the app. Then you realize nothing is free in it. False information on Google that basic features are free. They get you enrolled into annual subscription with one free week. Avoid all this fuss and just dump the app!
Over waters - constantly
This app constantly requests you overwater indoor plants and they die. Really not a very good app,

Latest update made it slow
Why oh why did they decide to put watering history on a separate tab? The whole app runs so slow for me now. I likely won’t renew next year. It also tells you to water too frequently most of the time. Greg is better.
Charged for a free trial
I did a week trial of the app and canceled before the time period (even tho apple services says I didn’t) and I had to dispute it multiple times with Apple and then dispute it twice with PayPal and they all got denied. It’s extremely frustrating because I did not use the app. I saw it recommended to me.
The layout is nice and so are the features but personally for me it’s not something I’d use consistently. I tend to get overstimulated a lot and I felt like I didn’t need to track all my plants. So it was not worth the $51. Sorry to see that other people in recent reviews had the same problem. And that Apple services refuses to refund when I canceled in time and they’re saying I didn’t.

Unusable
Absolutely unusable. No free tier that is usable as a trial without purchasing an annual subscription. Disappointing.

Charged for a free trial! Super mad I did a free trial to see if I liked the freaking app and what did it do it CHARGED me anyway!! It didn’t even identify my main plant I wanted help with!!!! Can’t find anyone to freaking contact!

I downloaded this app excited to care for my plants. You’re only able to do a few plants on a free subscription and then you have to pay for additional plants. I tried to cancel the same day and was still charged. It’s very deceiving. I thought I was going to be paying 5.99 and I was charged $52.67 having to go through a whole nightmare of getting my money back and being charged. Luckily the account that my information is set up with didn’t have enough money to pay that charge however it’s gridlock me to being able to get other apps until that charge is paid and then I have to be refunded huge headache. So I guess my suggestion to people is to really make sure you read all the fine information because this app caused me a lot of headache.

I was excited about the app since it was highly rated by several YouTube reviewers. I scanned my plants and most were wrong, I multiplied times scanned my Monstera Standleyana and it kept saying it was Variegated Swiss Cheese vine, I scanned it so many times, moved to whole plant for better light and it kept saying the wrong name of my plant, scanned several others and most were wrong. I have a sick plant, I know what’s wrong with her and she’s been treated but… I wanted to test the app and their recommendations. They did a diagnosis of it and gave me a link so I can read about it, never recommended has to treat the plant, I was simply given a link so I can figure it out LOL. Only lasted 2 days with the app. The advertisement is amazing and it makes this app sound so promising, but it’s all a lie. Meh it is what it is, I was so excited about it, what a bummer.
Life safer
I’d be lost without Planta! It helps me keep track of my indoor jungle and for that, I’m so grateful! 💚🌱🌿🪴💚
No warning at end of free trial
I specifically selected the option that would work for me, 2 days before the trial ends. Woke up today charged over $50 total, and not a peep about the free trial ending. It’s fine if they don’t want to warn people, but they shouldn’t offer. I would have put an alarm in my phone. Feels gross and scammy. I will def be seeking a refund from Apple.
This sucks compared to Picture This
I am so tired of this app not getting plant identification right. And it’s counter-intuitive. I discovered Picture This, and I will NEVER look back. A whole year. What a waste of time.

Dying Plants
Entered all the info for my plants. Following the watering, misting and fertilizing schedule provided and plants are still dying. It seems like the watering schedule is too much for the plants.

This app is terrible. I’m not one to write reviews but I have to. I took a risk purchasing this app after I read the reviews. It didn’t have a free trial option so I just went for it. It has yet to identify a plant accurately. When I suspected it was identifying unknown plants wrong I decided to try it on plant in which I was clear what they were. It got those wrong too. Save your money!!!

That does not feel right.
When I reached out for help, the response seemed to be from AI and was not helpful. I also noticed that when I checked the subscriptions, there were multiple subscriptions listed under the same app/title but at different prices, which felt confusing and honestly concerning.
As for the app itself, I found the AI plant diagnosis feature to be pretty inaccurate and not as helpful as I hoped. It also seems to remind me to water my plants too often, which can actually cause more harm than good. It’s a great app and I planned to renew for the year but with the price not being what was promised at sign up, it’s a NO for me.
Just be mindful and double-check the pricing before subscribing and your bill. I wanted to love this app, but the billing issue and lack of helpful support really changed my experience.

A waste of money
I took pictures of the plants so that I could take care of them properly. The plant is a Kalanchoe. It identified it as a hydrangea. I took two pictures of the plant.

Scam
Signed up for a 1 month free trial and set it to remind me before it auto charged. I got charged almost $50 after only one week with the app, and there’s no option on the app to cancel or a number to reach anyone
So Buggy
This app is so buggy. It freezes and doesn’t load the photo component consistently. The options for tracking sickness are not good. - you should have tasks to treat it, not one task to “cure it” in one go. It should have options to adjust watering based on time of year, and if you update the sun conditions in a room, it should update it for all the plants there too rather than doing each one individually. The AI doesn’t take into account what you’re documenting in the app either - you have to tell it how often you water it for example but it can see how often you water it with the tasks and schedule. I might delete it. Also you don’t have to mist everything so regularly.
Very laggy now
I used to really like this app. It helped me keep track of my plants and watering them. But it’s gotten really buggy and laggy. It makes my whole phone freeze and if I’m playing any audio, it freezes the audio.
