Scam in PVZ Arena
Spent weeks grinding Arena in PvZ2 to reach 500 crowns because the reward track clearly made it look like you unlock Electric Blueberry. Finally hit the milestone, claimed the reward, and the plant is STILL locked. Turns out they only give seed packets for a premium plant you still have to buy with real money. The UI is incredibly misleading since the reward icon looks like the actual plant unlock instead of seeds. Feels deceptive and honestly killed my motivation to grind Arena again.

Ads are bad enough, but a couple ones specifically will not let you close it out no matter what I’ve let the ad run well over 5 minutes and the option to close never appears. The only option is to close the app, lose game progress and hope you don’t get that same ad next time.

Too many ads
You can buy the “no ads” but is only for a couple of days , you have to pay more and more in order for you to enjoy the game. There’s is at least 1 or 2 ads each level
Lost In Game Progress
I have played this game for years on and off. After a decent break I wanted to boot it up and play for new plants, only to find all of my games progress, plant levels, and in app purchases completely deleted. No warning whatsoever, everything gone. I’ve only been able to restore in game purchases plants but everything else is gone. I had my account back when the GoldBloom was out for free and now it’s gone. Nothing was saved in the cloud even when registers to and email account I have access to. Now I have to restart and I honestly don’t want to even do it. Genuinely dissatisfied by this, I love the series but this really put the worst taste in my mouth and prevents me from wanting to play and even further invest anything into this game from an unfortunately very common problem. I know others feel the same and some reimbursement/restitution is called for all players effected.
Inappropriate ads for a game rated 13+
I know this game shows ads, and I'm comfortable enough with that to let my child play. What I'm not okay with is cannabis ads appearing in a game rated 13+. I was helping my child through a difficult segment when two cannabis ads ran back-to-back. This is unacceptable. Cannabis advertising to minors is ethically wrong and potentially illegal in many jurisdictions; the Joe Camel playbook doesn't get more defensible just because it moved to a phone screen. I'll revisit this rating if the developer can show that age-inappropriate ads are actually being filtered. Until then, parents should know what they're walking into.
EA is so greedy.
There used to be no ads, they were unnecessary since there were already a million micro-transactions generating EA money. Now, they’ve introduced ads, with the option to purchase no ads for only 30 days. ($2.99) No, there is no permanent option for a higher price. You’re disgustingly greedy, it’s repulsing.

Did anyone else find that with the latest update it completely reset the game back to the beginning? I’ve played for years, had millions of points, collected most of the plants and now….all GONE.

This is THe 2nd time all my game records have been gone. All the plants that I bought all the maps I unlocked I am very unhappy. Every updates will wipe my record. I don’t know why.

This game so damn dumb they showcase plants that you CANT EVAN GET OR PLAY then some of the levels are just made so poorly you don’t get enough money or gems to Evan get good plants you will NEVER see nun of the op plants in the game because you have no way to access them if you want to wil and get cool stuff instead of grind this a pay to win game everything you got to pay with CASH terrible
Extensive tutorial and missing basic features
They tried so hard to add more elements to the game, the tutorial seemingly never ends. Can I just play? Also, the lack of a basic pause option is a curious choice. You technically can pause the game by tapping the very tiny coin at the top so they can try selling you something. There’s no option to just restart a level though. I played an hour or more and still seemed to be playing the tutorial. Simply boring.

Popcap: you are losing players over this ad fiasco
On version 12.9.1 update the game suddenly had way too many ads for players who spent real money on the game, and the loading screen said you were aware of the ad problem. When the 13.0.1 update came out the ad problem was still there, and the loading screen said you were working on it. If the 13.1.1 version still has the ad problem, I am un-installing the game, and I will never come back!
EA turns a game into trash once again!
basically the title. There’s so many ads I can only play this with my connection off. And even then there’s still ads, just less. And the ability to pay for only 30 Days of no ads instead of just, permanently no ads is disgusting and a slap in the face to fans. I really want to love it, but it sucks. Play PVZ2: Replanted instead

I used to play this and it used to be good. I wanted to teach my kid to play with me and it took too much work to explain all the in app purchases we weren’t going to buy. Then and between each level was why I closed it. Thought this would be a fun game to play with kids. Nope. It’s been ruined by ads and micro transactions. But hey, for only $10 a month I could go ad free. Jfc

I loved this game when it first came out but the absolute greed of these people is revolting, seeing that they now have a subscription based ad system that forces you to pay monthly to not have an ad after EVERY level is completely ridiculous never touching this game again

It used to be so much fun and it was amazing but with all the new plants and ads they give you after every level it’s just hard to enjoy the game.
Fix the ads glitch
Don’t waste your time. This game will steal all your gems and power ups with ads. Once you finish an ad the exit is cropped out of the screen. The only way to exit is to shut down the app and doing so makes you lose the gems you spent on that level or rented plants you watched the ad for in the first place. What a ripoff.

My wife and I have been playing this game for over 10 years. A couple of weeks ago everything disappeared from her game and it threw her back to the beginning. Yesterday I opened the game and found my coin balance at -1.9 billion. NEGATIVE 1.9 BILLION!!!! It will take years to clear that. Time to find another game.

The ads are still terrible, but they have a special event that you can’t click through because the daily rewards tab comes up and the buttons don’t work so you can’t participate. EA pull it together

WHERE IS MY BUNDLE
I just recently purchased a bundle of snow peashooter, electric peashooter, and fire peashooter for 9.99$. I originally had to request for the in app purchase 7 TIMES before it finally went through, and when it did, I checked everywhere for the peashooters that I payed for but they were NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. I reloaded the game, nothing, I turned off my phone, nothing. Guess what, I was still charged money for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I want my peashooters EA, where are they?!

Like many other touch games, there’s layers of ads, battle passes, and other awful interfaces that you need to navigate before even getting to play. Ads between every level which break the game. Just an awful experience

What happened to you OG Pv2
You’ve changed a lot of mechanics. Especially the keys to unlocking new worlds early. To you guys just making the levels easier, just taking the fun out of it. I can be yapping all day but the one that takes the cake. Is the vase breaker mini game. How dare you have the audacity to make us work through world 4 day 4 to unlock it. Like why, just why. Others may not have a problem with it. I think im just more upset with vase breaker game.
