Filled with a bunch of old creepy men who message u lying about their age and claiming to be in universities, students, and other things when they obviously aren’t!It’s disgusting and there’s no option to lower ur age range just to 18 u can only do 18-25. When I try to recover my information my number is linked to someone else’s account, Not my username and there’s zero customer support to do anything about it.Just AI generated copy paste run about answer. Zero customer support. Just a try back again in 12 hours if “we” haven’t done anything. Still waiting for a developer response
Hackers/Log in
I used POF for about 3 hours before my account was hacked entirely. I have no idea how that’s possible since I used my mobile to create the account after email. Support says I was banned. They must be using Ai to ban accounts, which is a terrible practice. Use literally any other app.
Misled
Purchased the app and was misled with the use of words. Did not get the features that I was expecting.

This app is full of phony and con artists. I talked to about 30 people so I did give it a fair try. But out of that 30 I found only one real person. You think you’re falling for someone and then they start begging for money. And they are ruthless about it.

Nothing but likes from fat colored women and profiles without pics. No way to delete anyone that sends you a like. Constant bombarding with push notifications about new people in your area when there are never new people in your area. As with the rest of these apps the distance algo is trash. It will tell you they’re 30km away by reality is triple or more. Total waste of money. Avoid this trash like its a Covid vaccine.
Got scammed
Fake profiles, there is zero filtering for fake accounts and accounts should REQUIRE face verification minimum in order to go on the website. Don’t use this unless you wanna filter through fake accounts all day.

What a joke most of the profiles on this app haven’t been active since early 2025 and the minors on here unless they are the police way too many and way to many people need gas money I can’t stand people anymore

Many fake accounts and the tiered pay system means you essentially need the highest tier to interact at all. The filtering ability is also to basic to be of use.

Why do you have to know my income amount, how many siblings I have and which order I was born in, and if my parents are still married? Super weird- deleted before even completing my profile.

Fakes to the MAX
I’ve had this app for a few months and I have yet to meet anyone who isn’t a scammer and/or fake. And they’re so easy to spot but I guess the people who run it don’t care. I stupidly paid for a year and it’s not worth it. I couldn’t get verified, it gives me an error message but these people are all verified. I don’t recommend this app at all.

Site does not promote anything. App actually hurts itself by limiting what paying subscribers can do. App owners do not help subscribers at all. To many limitations, want you to pay for anything and everything all the time. Such a waist.

POF used to be a great alternative to other dating apps. Now it’s filled with fake user accounts and it feels like support is run almost entirely by AI. I used the app off and on, pausing my account when not in use. I tried to unpause my account only to be told I was banned. When I inquired why, I was told I violated terms of service. No details were given and I was told there was no way to appeal. Generic boiler plate answer you would expect from AI management. I had a normal profile. I sent messages, interacted, reported fake user profiles when I saw them. Thankfully I wasn’t a paying user otherwise I’d have lost my money. That’s ok POF, I’ll stick to using (and paying) other dating apps. Even if the others are using AI to manage millions of users, at least they’re doing it competently.

There were way to many fake profiles or scammers. People asking for money. Tried it for 3 months and never made it to meeting anyone. Many people with multiple profiles and different names. Have yet to meet a genuine person on this app. This is the second dating app I’ve tried and I don’t like it. Yes it’s easy to use but if 9 out of 10 profiles are fake or scams what’s the point. App also have periods of times where it went offline. And I could never self verify that I was really who I said I was. The screen would just crash and tell me to do it again in a loop.

I’ve been using pof. And ever since the last Sunday; I’m not able to send or receive any messages. I waited 24hrs as suggested thinking I may have been flagged or something, & I’m still not able to send or receive messages. Which defeats the purpose of the app; socializing. I cannot seem to get in contact w. Anyone about this issue or see any help in the help center about this specific issue.
