Won’t Open
I played this game as a kid and redownloaded it for the nostalgia. When I go to open the app, it won’t load! I’ve deleted it multiple times and redownloaded it and it isn’t working. I had to get it in my iPad and it finally started working, but it won’t let me send frogs to people. How do I make it work on my phone?

New game
Can we get new games the race search puzzle out of date
Too hard to progress
I’m done hopping around to find one dumb frog. Life is too short and I’m done
New mythical system sucks
Please just make it an option/setting that we don’t have to waste our time hopping around for hours..☹️
Sad to see a great game fall so far because of money hungry multi-millionaires

Too much
Too many new frogs, too often. No longer fun.
Used to Love
I always loved playing this game but now time travel isn’t allowed without punishment. So 👎
Game Data Deleted
I had this game downloaded just a few weeks ago and then deleted it temporarily to free up space. I decided to download it again today and ALL of my data is now gone and it’s forcing me to restart. Unbelievable. Years of progress gone.
Used to love this game
unfortunate
No longer works
I was happy to start playing this game again on my new phone, however despite an update since iOS 26 came out the game crashes anytime I try to open it. Hopefully there will be a fix soon as I’d love to jump back into this game
Excessive and disruptive interstitial ads ruined this app
I used to love this app, but this new practice of forcing unexpected, full-screen ads just to access features that previously didn't require me to watch an ad has ruined the experience. I've had this app forever and am sad to see this latest version has basically transformed pocket frogs from a fun idle game to a miserable UX ad farm.
Great game, hate the app icon.
Last night I was feeling nostalgic and downloaded the app only to see it uses AI art as the app icon. This is very disappointing, especially since the original icon, while nostalgic, had also fit the style of the game. Now, I must say, the game itself is great. It’s just like how I remembered and I enjoyed playing it. However, I dislike the fact that such a good game uses such hideous computer generated “art” instead of something original from a game designer or an artist.

Long time player, the ads break my heart.
I will update my review if fixed.
I have played this game since I think 2010. Basically grown up with this game. Until recently, this game has been a long-time, hands-down favorite of mine out of anything I've played. I would be scared to know my playtime. About a year+ ago I came back to it after a busy period in my life thinking I'd easily enjoy it again. I was wrong: I found that NimbleBit added unavoidable advertisements. My issue with the game isn't that Pocket Frogs has advertisements to begin with, because I get why NimbleBit would choose to add them, but the things that are promised such as "Watching rewarded videos removes interstitial ads for 24 hours" and "Any purchase will remove interstitial ads" are a complete scam. Neither of them work correctly. I waited for a bit of time to see if this was a bug and if NimbleBit would fix it, but I think a year+ of time along with multiple updates means it's safe enough to say that this is an on-purpose scam.
NimbleBit also added a menu for rewards for more real-life offers, known as TapJoy, and there's a setting to turn this off (probably for children), however in the menu at the bottom, whether or not you turn those ads off, there's still an option to view them in the game. As such, I wouldn't recommend this game for young kids anymore, and I sure know I enjoyed it as a kid. :(
I have lost so much faith in NimbleBit because of how these ads were implemented, and because of the lack of care and attention for the community that NimbleBit used to have. The company had gone so far as to make a community Discord server (not run by NimbleBit itself, still running with a button in the app for it); they really went above and beyond back then. Now, it just feels like NimbleBit doesn't care about its users. I am heartbroken and severely disappointed. I don't know if NimbleBit changed hands or if something else happened, but please, please stop scamming your app users. You're hurting more people with this than you think.

Crash crash crash
I played this game years ago and I love coming back to it. Unfortunately the app now crashes constantly and I can’t even switch between habitats without having to close.
I am disheartened
Pocket frogs is a game that I have been playing for 13 years. I have always loved the simplistic design of the frogs, and how you could just play how you wanted when you wanted to relax and collect frogs, as well as share any ones you found pretty with your friends. I just loved that there weren’t really too many rules or restrictions and that you could really just play however you wanted. When I started seeing pocket frogs having more updates with new frogs and new quality of life updates I was ecstatic. It felt like a long time comfort game of mine was being rejuvenated. But then I saw the froggydex update to where you could buy frogs you don’t have for $1.99 USD each which feels too expensive for a frog. But I figured I might buy a frog or two since I really do love the game and I wouldn’t mind supporting it.
Then they added the lotus frogs, the first mythical frog which meant that you could not share it. It honestly feels like a cash grab because you can’t share the frog and you have to hop around in the pond for hours hoping that you find one and, more importantly, hoping that when you breed you get it. Which for one frog I thought alright that’s not too bad, it’s a nice endgame idea. But also having it in the froggydex able to be bought for $1.99 USD felt like the game was becoming pay to win.
But now we have four frog species that are like this… such pretty frogs that you cannot share with your friends, you MUST either find it in the pond or spend $1.99 USD to get one. This on top of all of the exclusive scenery is starting to really feel like a drastic change in direction for the game. It is starting to feel extremely grindy, and I just discovered that the time travel that you have been able to do since the game was released is now not only impossible, but supposedly you can be penalized for it and lose your account??? I would understand if this was something the devs didn’t want for them to have made it impossible years ago… but it has been a known method of playing the game for well over a decade. I can not stand how grindy the game is becoming. I am so sad because I loved just casually being able to play when I was super stressed out and just slowly dexing the frogs.. and now it’s like pocket frogs is becoming more demanding of your time and money. I am so disheartened as I feel I am completely losing the only comfort game I have ever had. I just wish I could enjoy playing my pocket frogs again. Thank you

Ads every few mins?!
I’ve loved the app but recently came back to it and there are ads that just pop up for everything?! Give me the choice to pay a one time fee or subscription! It’s not fun now.
Now with annoying ads!
I've played this game on and off for over a decade. I happened to think of it today and re-downloaded it. I was appalled to see that they are now running those stupid corny King game ads. I would happily pay to purchase this app, but I don't think I can sit through those ads.
