Pok Pok | Montessori Preschool

I am so sad. I’ve loved this app and always recommend it, but lately I feel like they’ve gone just a little too far into cultural exploration. I love that Pokpok is so open ended, children can play all sorts of things, and design characters any way they want. I’m not very comfortable with cultural symbols in general and prefer to avoid them (including my own country’s flag.) The current city-scape is loaded with pride flags, which I generally don’t mind- I just feel like this is too much. I’d prefer it to be more neutral, so that children can focus on being creative. This could possibly extend to all of the holiday themes. I didn’t say anything at the time, but my three year old found one of the Halloween themed tabs (one with music) so scary that he didn’t want to use the app at all for a month or two.
Please go back to being more neutral.

From three to ten, my kids love this. I’m thrilled, because finding add-free, enriching apps is nearly impossible. I love the lifetime payment option- I don’t care for subscriptions. My seven year old loves that you can kill off some of the dinosaurs/have them eat each other. (That might be a concern for some people?) I absolutely love how simple it is for my 3 year old to navigate. I kind of wish there were a clearer parent tutorial- I don’t really know what’s going on, if I can customize the experience, if there is an option for multiple profiles… I don’t think it needs any of that, I just feel a little confused as an adult trying to figure out how it works. But again, my kids are great with it!

if you refuse to subscribe, the onboarding screens do an endless loop unless you subscribe. just make the app a paid app at that point.

Just make it a paid app. I’m so sick of subscriptions for everything. It’s not worth 60 dollars a year.

Downloaded the app to give it a try as it claimed there was a "7 day free trial". I cancelled the subscription within 48 hrs because my kid showed zero interest in it. Notably there's still 4 days until the "7 day free trial" is up.
They just charged my card the $10 fee. Makes no sense.. That's not how actual free trials work. Ridiculous.

LGBTQ+ content in the game

I am highly disturbed that there have been Pride and LGBTQ type visualizations found within the mini games. This is a game for CHILDREN!!! There is absolutely NO REASON for this. Extremely disappointed and canceled our subscription.
