Developers! Stop giving some dumb players who can not play the game in ranks! This is unacceptable playing with players with peanut brains who does not know how to play! Fix this! Giving a one star!

Yes this game is free to play BUT you will be matched against players who have paid money for the newer pokemon.
So this game feels very much like F2P vs Paid and you can guess who wins more.
Games like this are balanced towards the new pokemon released thus incentivizing paying $$$ for the “better” pokemon.
Paying for cosmetics is different than paying for a new characters with newly designed skills.
Yes you do get a choice of pokemon to use while grinding time away, but those are outdated skills compared to the newer ones being released tomorrow or the next month or in a year or in 2 years or in 3 years or in 4 years.
While I had some fun, ultimately I have spent more time losing against people who paid/have more time invested in the game.
Games like this and “Brawl Stars”and others feel like they are engineered to make Free to play players lose, angry and motivated to spend more money.
There is no end point in how much you will spend to be on the “winning” side. Once you understand this about today’s video games, you might stop giving money to the Fortnite’s, Call of Duty’s, Battelfields, Mortal Combats, Clash of Clans, and the countless others that demand you pay more even after you already paid.
As for me, I am not paying for an incomplete game nor do I want endless paid DLCs just to be a paying loser in a month.

Get the journey license bs out my face. tf you mean the coins ive worked hard for have no absolute value anymore and i gotta grind like i have no life and responsibilities to get the characters I WANT. get rid of ts bruh

The matching making in this game is horrendous, it will match 5 negative WR player into 5 sweaty high WR player over and over.

No Raichu. One star. Just give Raichu some attention and I’m not talking about alolan raichu.

The new Pokemon can only be obtained through gems now which sucks. Also the matchmaking sucks. I’m in veteran and it’s near impossible to promote because I queue with experts who have no idea what they are doing, or my team is just filled with bots.

When I first started playing this game you were able to unlock characters. Now all the new characters can only be unlocked with payed gems. Overall the game is fun but because you can only play ranked with unlocked characters your posibilities for characters are limited making it not nearly as enjoyable. It was a good game before they made these changes. Not it feels like a hollow version of itself….sadly.

Pay to win, pay to succeed in just about anything.

I first played this game when it came out and it was amazing and now that I came back everything is now very pay to win and you can’t have any Pokémon without spending real money. If i could give this game zero stars, I would.

Hello Pokémon Unite! My name is Kayden, and I’m a huge fan of Pokémon ever since I was a kid, and this is my favorite Pokémon game currently to play when I have the time, I like competitive games, so this fits the criteria. Just here to give y’all some recommendations, and things I think that can make this game viral again, and fun to play because at a point of time this game was talked about a lot, now every time it’s talked about it’s always in a bad lighting. 1. Remove license journey completely, or make improvements to it because currently it’s a cash grab, and is poorly implemented, and y’all are very stingy about how much you give too (I haven’t got any new Pokémon’s in 2 months, solo mode is annoyingly hard and very boring to play). I understand solo mode is made for new players so y’all don’t have to remove it, just needs improvements. 2. remove mega Pokémon’s as a separate license where you have to pay for the same Pokémon again and make it a mega stone, a cosmetic add-on to your Pokémon. You must have a 10,000 badge for the Pokémon that you want to use mega a stone on, this way the game will have a more of a reason to grind for (you can only have one mega Pokémon on each team max). Also Give Charizard X a different attack animation when it’s in mega form; instead of fire punch, change it to dragon claw/thunder claw, and instead of flare blitz change it to steel wing. This could be in general for every mega, but this will be a very cool for Charizard specifically because it’ll remind me of Alain’s Charizard from the XYZ series. It’ll make it more fun to play, grind for, and visually enticing; giving mega evolution cutscene animation with your avatar will be very cool add as well, especially when people from opposing sides teams decide to mega evolve almost at the same time, it’ll be mega clash. 3. make the holowear cheaper, I promise you no one is paying 50 dollars for 1 holowear for your Pokémon, and add cosmetics from the Pokémon series, like Alain’s character/attire, Korrina character/attire, Dawn character/attire, etc. I definitely feel like people will be willing to spend money on this game if y’all do that type of add to the avatar cosmetics (especially me). 4. Remove boost emblems completely, or make improvements to them because they’re useless mechanic in the game currently. 5. Decrease held item upgrades, it was already a struggle to get 30 max for the ones I use regularly. Make it like 20. 6. Host an event every week or two to reel in new people. 7. You can earn license points through regularly matches, not a lot though (25-50+ depending on performance and match bonuses), when it’s a ranked match you earn even more (50-100+ depending on your performance and match bonuses); they should be no daily caps on how much license points you can earn in a day as well. this way people will actually try to do there best every match, making people want to grind and improve in the game. 8. Improve the penalty system, when people decide to go AFK, be toxic, and throw matches, especially in ranked and people report them for it, they should get their license points they worked so hard for deducted. So let’s say they got reported for being toxic, and throwing matches, it takes away 50 license points, increases by 50 every time they reported for the same thing (caps at 250). When it’s a new week it resets back to 50 (it’s normal deduction). I’m 100% confident this will definitely get rid of toxic players, and improve match makings since license points are very valuable, and desirable now. 9. Make new maps and cool changes to them. 10. You can convert license points into some type of different currency like coins to buy avatar cosmetics/avatars, and license points to buy holowear. That’s all, I’ll really appreciate if y’all can take this in consideration and implement it, y’all can make improvements to my suggestions as well.

Huge pay to win game if you want to win spend hundreds if not don’t play

I really want to enjoy this game but the matchmaking is terrible. I went 6 games straight with one of my teammates dropping off. I stopped playing this game a while ago and picked it up again. I’m remembering why I stopped playing. . .

Unfair challenges in the solo mode with enemy bots that just plain cheat. Horrible ranked mode where you get people who don’t even know what a pikachu is, much less how to work in a team. Pokemon locked behind an impossible battle pass system, making F2P’s lives miserable. So many micro transactions and gambling minigames that even a casino would blush. Horrible balancing of new pokemon, who come out and are insanely OP.
I remember playing this game a few years ago, and I loved it. What did you all do this game…

This game used to be so fun. The changes to monetization, picking moves before the battle, the constant push for op Pokémon getting added so more people buy them. It’s ruining the game.

1. The other team will always focus on team uniting, goal scoring and goal defense.
2. Your team will ignore everything. They will go out of their way not to interact with the other team.
Mind you these are computers but one team is definitely taking advantage.
3. Picking your favorite Pokémon licenses? Nope, you must go through what the game wants you to earn. Even if it’s a Pokémon you will NEVER use.
I’ve played since the game started and this just sucks so much.

It would be good if the game actually puts you with people that actually on your skill level and not people is just running around for kills. Don’t even do the adjective.

It’s because all of the ranking to buy Pokémon and it’s basically happening to every game right now so just go back to being original

We should not have to pay money to buy Pokemon to play. I can understand for the different skins but not the Pokemon. This is absurd.

Pay to win party game. No competitive aspect whatsoever. If you currently have the game on your device, uninstall it.

Let me start with this, I think this is a great fresh idea for Pokémon. I have grown up with it for years now, and I like that the series is finally introducing new ways to play Pokemon. (Hopefully now they also improve on the original games) Five stars for that. With that being said, everything should constantly be improving. That should be for everyone, including myself. Not trying to be rude, just trying to see my child hood series last for years and years.
First change is instead of nerfing characters they should just increase the power for weaker ones. This would keep the game fun and interesting rather than feeling like I should stop playing my favorite ones to be force to play something else… and eventually lose interest in the game.
Everyone has a select favorite Pokemon. Feel free to make the weaker ones strong but at least don’t nerf people’s favorite ones. (None should be nerfed)
Micro transactions should be less. I would buy more if they would just go to cheaper pricing.
More options of clothing for men.
They been doing a great job for clothing, don’t get me wrong. Just want more styles for dudes.
Game modes. More would be cool, don’t make the mistake of limited time.
More Pokémon, there’s tons of them that would be cool in the game.
I see myself playing this game a long term. Hope it stays for a while.

Wasn’t able to complete a battle pass I bought for x reason. I’m tired of battle pass systems that have time limits. Stuff Like this makes games not fun and more like a job I have to clock in on.
Hopefully they increase the quality of life as far as this goes.
As a full time employed adult it really blows to miss out on something I bought/paid for.

I used to love this game now is all about Pay-to-Win and is sad.. this was the only Pokemon game that wasn't like that and now it is as well. Bring back the Aeos coins and the ability to choose any Pokemon vs unlocking in a path, so disappointed with the update. Also the matchmaking is so ruined they place one good player with trash players and expect to carry the whole team. Deleting the game after this season who knows maybe before it ends.

There are a lot of ways the pokemon devs just…SUCK.
#1 problem: all of their games have so much potential but instead they waste it and demolish their game by making everything possible…with real money….
Games:
Pokemon go: it is now impossible to get Pokemon without spending tons of money. The catching of rares is completely rigged and people in wheelchairs just can’t play even though they may want to.
Pokemon trading game: it was great for the first 2 weeks! But then yet again the devs got greedy and locked the game with a paywall. Now the only ways the game is fun or playable have been destroyed.
Pokemon unite (this game):
Every match and every grind gets done in a blink of an eye if you spend money. But the free to play people are locked by all good content and anything op! Every single Pokemon is way to op and really annoying. You can’t play well unless you spend money, ANOTHER PAY WALL.

Mega charizard x just came out!
He destroys the whole other team in two seconds and they can’t do anything about it! It takes weeks for him to get nerfed and it takes three nerfs to make him okay. He gets nerfed a 4th time? And now he’s dying to a eldegloss or comfey.
This super awesome outfit just came out but it’s limited! I really want it but it’s for money! :( I really don’t want to miss out! Suddenly the player that bought the outfit is doing the best all the time and is rigged to win 80/100 times.
My favorite Pokemon (no matter what) is so weak now compared to others! I really love it but I can’t it anymore because it’s now nerfed to the ground… I feel sad 😔.. but! 💡I can just buy this new pokemon and do good! (The pokemon “TOTALLY” stays op and is playable-)

So basically, I was a beginner. It was doing good so far when I was doing a my first round in this game but like and then after a couple more rounds, I am joined one more round and this couple kids would not stop kicking me so now I’m just getting banned over and over again do not download this

Literally have to pay to have anything nice it’s so bad. Pokémon is a multi million-billion dollar company there is no need for a game to be so expensive. Some of the Pokémon (the ones that cost mostly real money) are so overpowered there is nothing one can do about them and it’s so annoying. And removing coins is so stupid now the game is basically unplayable. Everything costs real money and this game became almost entirely pay to win because this company is money hungry and decided that all the money they make is just not enough and that they needed to start charging more. The greed is insane this game is meant for kids not 30 year old men living in their parents basement so start making it more suitable for them. No wonder there are so little players that you wait over a minute to get into a match that’s almost entirely just bots. Your entire player base is gone and I guess your solution is to demand people pay more to have nice things.

I’m sick of the garbage that the developers keep spoonfeeding into their playerbase. Every important decision they make is clearly made with profit in mind, and it’s clear to see that they don’t care about their players anymore. Here’s why:
1. License Journeys are the biggest problem right now. There used to be Aeos Coins but those were recently scrapped, and are now being replaced by a system where you can only get Pokémon in a path that the moderation chooses for you. In order to get a Mon you want, you will either need to get extremely lucky or grind for months on end. Additionally, obtaining the new currency, License Points, is extremely slow-going. You either spend $10 or more to buy the battle passes (those of which were recently nerfed) and rack up points that way, or you simply grind and grind and grind and GRIND. The developers are continuously punishing new players with decisions like these.
2. Aeos Gems. Not much to say about these, mostly that you can only get them by spending real money. Most in-game cosmetics and buffs are locked behind this wall, so if you’re free-to-play, you’ll be stuck with outdated skins and degraded Mon strength.
3. Matchmaking. A recurring problem since game release. In the ranking system, no matter what rank you are, you will be continuously matchmade with players who clearly have no idea what they’re doing/don’t match your skill level in the slightest. Not only that, but you’re also stuck against a team of all friends who have clearly been playing for years or repeatedly play Mons that complement each other, such as Latias and Latios. Not shaming players for that, but it’s ridiculous to waste time facing them when your team is made up of zero-coordination five-year-olds/intentional griefers/central-lane snatchers. Most matches I can predict whether or not my team is going to win.
4. Legendary Bosses. Any team which defeats the final boss are granted insane buffs, making it basically an instant loss for the opposing team. I’ve had several games where I was losing terribly and made an epic comeback because our Mew with 100 achievement points secured the boss. This is totally unfair for the opposing team, who has been winning the entire time. Also, when a boss is defeated, your team is automatically granted 15+ points and can score quicker. That’s not a bad thing, but it does make the first 8 minutes of the match feel stale and worthless since all the score is doubled during the last two minutes.
5. Event systems. Most reward systems are useless and don’t give the player anything they would actually want, which is a waste of programming on the devs’ side. Additionally, to get most of the cool, event-locked cosmetics you will have to pay an insane amount of money, sometimes $60 at a time. Not worth it.
6. Predatory FOMO. The devs preys on your fear of missing out by paywalling cosmetics you can obtain only in events (see #5). In addition, the devs give you no way of knowing if a skin or benefit is coming back, forcing you to spend now or never.
8. Last but definitely not least, NEW MON RELEASES. 99% of all Pokémon they release are insanely overpowered and dominate in ranked. (See Zapdos and Sirfetch’d for more info.) Additionally, a new Mon is never just released as is. You have a chance to obtain it through an event before it is released in the License Journey system. It is optional to spend money to get it immediately, in addition. But since it’s insanely overpowered and most likely won’t be nerfed until much much later, this gives money-spenders an extreme advantage over FTPs. Since they’ll spend to get it immediately, they will repeatedly use it to farm wins in Ranked, making matchmaking more unfair than ever for non-spenders. Worst of all, once the new Mon is available for a FTP player to get without spending, the devs then nerf it into the ground, making it basically unplayable until the next patch.
It’s a waste of time trying to play a game where 90% of the game-play is locked behind a paywall, stuffed with worthless reward systems, or rigged to make you spend. Please avoid this game at your own convenience.

I deleted it a day after I got it is too easy to win there is no challenge.

Used to play this game often but stopped because the only thing it has going is the fact that is a Pokémon MOBA. I started again and now all the new mons only have 1 move set? So now everyone runs the same build, fun… also coins are useless now, so if you want a new mon and missed the event, you have to get “credits”. You start at the bottom level picking from garbage mons, with the new ones being 90+ levels away. You are smoking something crazy if you think to get a new mon I want I’m going to sit here and acquire 900 credits 90 times… now onto the megas. Why tf are megas their own mons?? Oh right MONEY MONEY MONEY, we don’t need 3 different characters for charizard and his megas. Just keep charizard, and add mega stones to the store you can equip for a held item. Add an additional held item slot for this and now, people not using megas can have 4 items, and people who want to mega can now use 3 still. But NOOO why would we want logic. And finally the garbage skins. Why would I want to dress any pokemon in a Barbie dress? I don’t. WHY. Is. There. No. Shiny. Skins. That is something I would actually pay for, shiny Greninja or charizard. But again they don’t value QOL only money. Don’t play this game it’s only going downhill.

Used to be a great game but they removed the only way to get new Pokémon so now you either have to purchase them with their currency you only get by in game purchase or level up your license level until you get to unlock the Pokémon you want which if it is even new-ish could be 80+ levels away. Gameplay still good and content is updated frequently but pay to win immediately removes 3 stars.

Timi has burned thsi game to the ground. License journeys, megas, and only one moveset was the dumbest decisions ever.

This game is very unbalanced and unfair for most if not all the ones who play. Money isn’t an issue here as virtually everyone who plays can’t keep up with the constant adding of new Pokemon which unbalances the game even more. Whenever someone sends in a request about an issue they’re having or a request to make the game more fair for other players all you get in about 5 seconds is a computerized response that rudely tells you either “these aren’t issues with the game and if you don’t stop sending these in you will be banned” or one that says “you’re the problem with the game and you are now banned”. As a result of adding a different way to get unite licenses with license journey points I’m upgrading my review to 2 stars. Would be nice if you could win the license points on the prize machine too.
