Annoying app ad
This started out good, but lately I can’t get anything done because game ads keep popping up and stay for. long time. I quit using it.

I paid to edit documents but it won’t let me edit it. It just keeps saying the document will download. Will let you know when it’s been over 24 hours now and it’s still no download but they definitely took my money.

Tried using this app today, and about halfway through editing, it presented spinning dialogue notification: “Creating Recovery File”.
It locked up the app. As a word processor, you have one job. Sigh.

Awful. Hangs up every free minutes and you lose all of your work. Just not reliable enough to be useful for anything. A napkin and ballpoint work better. At least you don’t lose what you started.
Google pop up adds destroy everything!
I spent a few minutes dodging pop up adds and gave up. Sure, the extortion fee is low enough to get rid of the ads but why? I hadn’t seen anything yet because of the ads. I refuse to do business with anything that uses pop up ads. It could very well be the app I am looking for. Who knows?

I’m truly amazed by the number and nature of capabilities provided. A solid handful of features most consider “the standard” for any office suite are offered “free” (just ad & users’ data monetizing revenue). They also let you pay them in all sorts of other ways, e.g., with a separate dusty archaic app last updated 2 years ago is just $40 upfront, &/or variously priced subscriptions, you get many, or even most(!) of the basic expected functions that not even M$ has labeled as premium for years.
But best of all is the dev reply to a decade-old Top Review in that aforementioned separate abandoned app $40 idiot tax, which begins:

Want to cancel
Federal Trades commission will charge if reported that it is not easy to cancel services. I looked and cancellation is not listed as an option in the tool bar, settings. Too many of these apps are changing people for misleading, claims for service capabilities, you take people’s money before confirming that the service is being used and operating as the customer intended. I never tried but I can’t justify spending money for something and risk finding out it’s too complicated to figure out and these apps give lousy customer service when customers run into problems
Can’t find my documents !
Upgraded to new iPad, transferred everything to new iPad. Now Polaris documents can’t be found on new or old iPad!! Everything else transferee without a hitch.
For me a fatal feature limitation
I paid for this app then learned it cannot edit Excel spreadsheet files that contain pivot tables. It cannot even edit sheets that only have plain tabular data if other sheets have pivot tables. Most of my spreadsheets have pivot tables so for me the app is almost useless. I know it supports other Office docs but I bought it for spreadsheets. Disappointed
Bad company replaces good software with aday
I bought this program several years ago. It worked great. I paid full price for it. Now, with the latest update, it is entirely different. Editing is a chore and ads pop up all of the time. I didn’t pay for adware, I paid for software. Don’t try to subsidize yourself from software that someone has already paid for by turning it into adware. You stink!
Can’t take pictures
Recent updates make it so you can’t take pictures into PowerPoint slides. You can only add them from your photo library. For our inspections this adds another 2 steps. Please fix and add this critical function to click camera icon and take picture instead of adding from photo library

Couldn’t open a simple .doc file
I spent half an hour, watched 4-5 ads, tried a couple of different files - and failed spectacularly. Had to convert .doc to .pdf online and then open it from the download folder using native iPad viewer.
Not Accessible with Voiceover
I hate giving a One Star review. I am disappointed, but not surprised that the app is not accessible with voiceover.
Are you working on this? There is a large community of people who will be interested if you can make this app accessible with voiceover.

Unable to edit PDF even with paid subscription
I’ve used this app in the past and had no issues. It’s more difficult to navigate and less user friendly this time around. Each time I try to utilize it I spend so much time figuring out how to do things like upload the PDF and things that should be no problem, that it minimizes productivity and maximizes the amount of time spent trying to learn how to navigate the w options.

Frustrating
I can’t work with the templates. I’m receiving messages in a foreign language.

Was working for a few hours on documents, emailed them, it said email completed but they probably were never sent , had to log in and all documents are gone.....hate it

Erased all my files after update!
Looked this morning and both my work and personal phones have erased all of my files. When I first opened it up there was a foreign language pop up initially. Only way to get into it was to ok it. It then shows updated features but has erased everything!!! Loved the app prior to this.

1. can't sign into 1 drive cloud svc, can't disconnect to re add it either
2. the one file that i could see, never been set to read only, i click on edit, select a cell and yet no keyboard appears, no option to type whatsoever nothing and the drop down list is useless, i go to open a file from 1 drive and no file show up and there are a ton to pick from
3. completely useless, no help, no popups....it's basically an ad for an app that can't do anything on iOS yet it works fine on Android and NO im not new to Apple

Worked my butt off on a document, then Polaris wiped it out
The title says it all. Worked my butt off on a document, saved it, did everything I was supposed to do. Then polaris of its own accord decided to run an automatic sync and wiped out my entire document, taking it back to a state from several days ago. There was never a time my device wasn’t on network, so I have no idea why this app did this and frankly don’t care.
I lost a ton of work and will NEVER use this app again, period.

Very unhappy!!
I payed for the upgrade to the pro and it is still showing my account to be basic only. Really very unhappy with the whole app at this point!!! I tried to email to see if there was a easy fix but have not been responded to as of yet.
Lost work
It was working ok for a little while. I was able to edit a file on my phone and pc, but it insisted on auto saving instead of letting me just hit save when I wanted. This led to it somehow saving an old copy from my phone when I went to look at it the next day over an edited copy of the document from my computer, losing several important hours of work. I then attempted to save a backup of the most recent copy I had left, and it told me my free period was over and wouldn’t even let me save the document. I literally had to copy and paste chapter by chapter the book I’m working on to get it out of the program.
Oh and the version history area is blank no matter what I did, so that was super useful 🙄

I made a text file and saved it to my location of choice, but I opened the file later and nothing was in it. Could've been user error, but at that point an app should just work as expected. Not only that, it's terrible to navigate around with VoiceOver, Apple's screen reader for the blind and low vision. Buttons and UI elements are poorly labeled. No dark mode either? I don't know how people use this app. Deleted shortly after downloading.
Good app. Too much pop up ads
The pop up ads is a major turn off! It pops up every time! The developers forget that often times people who use this app are people who are trying to get things done. Video game ads are the complete opposite of why people use this app - to be productive. This baffles my mind.

Polaris was good
I hate all the interruptions with ads, and now you have to pay. The product is a good product except for that don’t know about the AI but I found that every time I work on a project I spend more time looking at ads definitely need to fix it guys, I don’t mean charging it for either
