Barely Ok, could be designed much better
Simple app that doesn’t give the user much flexibility in customization.
Update: Had to downgrade to a 1:
1. App tells you in the “coming up” box what amount of water to pour, but when that pour stage comes up, it doesn’t display that exact amount of water, instead it shows the total gram weight on the right and an animated pour graphic on the left that increases to the target weight (as if we can pour and watch our scale and match it do the incrementing weight of the animation of grams to add). If you start the pour sequence for your coffee, but then realize your scale didn’t weigh or tare correctly after the timer sequence has started, you now can only depend on the pour amount for each stage (i.e. bloom is 36g, 2nd pour is 72g, 3rd is 107g, etc). Because the app wont display the exact weight, the the timing function for the app is useless.
2. For folks that use a fast drawdown filter such as the Cafec, the timed sequence is also useless, as midway thought a timed sequence, the pour has already drained by the time the timer has even reached the halfway mark, so you end up waiting 30 extra seconds or so with nothing to do bc your drawdown was faster than the app timer and your grounds are just sitting there with no water in it. This could be fixed by letting the user override the timer on a sequence (i.e. a “start next sequence” override button.
I’ve ruined many pours because of the design of the app and will be removing it in search of a better one.
(Below are previous suggestions still waiting on)
Some suggestions:
1. Let us select what brewing accessory we want to be featured on the main “dashboard” screen, i.e. I just want my Hario featured- I don’t want or need to see aeropress, kalita, drip bag, or other icons shown for methods I dont use.
2. Let us create custom adjustments within the selected method, i.e. for the Hario section, I want to see the stock recipes, but also want to add my versions and changes inside this area too
3. Biggest issue: Let us copy and paste recipes! For example, you can call up a preset recipe, enter a gram weight for beans, and then the recipe adjusts. But what happens when you have doses of different grams? Now I have to change the dose to have it re calculate. It is way nicer to copy the recipe, change it to a different weight, then save it as a new recipe. (Displaying the gram weight on the rectangular recipe button would make it easy to identify as well)
5. Give the ability to rate the recipes as a 1-5 star system, or as a numerical (or an option for either preference). That way we can rate our recipes, as well as the default recipes you provide
6. Give an option to turn off animation of the pour- it really is more confusing than anything else, especially since we all pour water at different speeds and not at the exact speed of the animation
7. Make the app beep a few seconds before the next step come up (other coffee apps do this and it’s very helpful to have both a visual and audio indicator)
8. When doing a brew and starting a recipe, give users a way to look ahead/scroll down to see what the next step/steps are. When I have a step that will take 40 seconds to wait on, id like to see what the rest of the remaining steps are
9. Need to copy and paste recipes, including the default stock ones and choose whether to save it in the existing Brew method section, or save in the Custom section. And vice versa.
10. Would be nice to change colors. I understand the color scheme, but would like to change it to other colors
10. Give the ability to sort recipes. Maybe I want my favorite recipes at the top, but cannot do it since everything is fixed in place

Cheaply made (App Broken)
This app is completely broken. They literally charged me for a year subscription in the app doesn’t even recognize that I payed for the subscription and when I try to select, restore purchases it freezes. Trash
