Limited features
For the price, this software has the most limited features actually necessary for editing. Simple features that you can find on just about any other mobile editing app like clip merging are non existent. This app used to be much more efficient back when it was less than half the price for a monthly subscription. It’s disappointing because this used to be my most efficient mobile editing tool, until very recently. The AI optimization tools on here are great and all, but is it worth sacrificing even the most basic editing features on just about any other editing app/software?
Used to be good
I’ve been using (AND PAYING FOR) this app for years now. It’s done me well. But now they keep juicing in AI filters that no one asked for and as a result, DEMAND that you pay MORE and the already are to remove a watermark that never used to be there. If I’m giving you money, I shouldn’t have a watermark. Period.

Took $80 off my card and i didn’t even know as the app was never used. And refused to give a refund. Terrible app.

Anyways when it came out, it looked like a recorded a painting that I swiped my hand across before the paint dried. This app sucks and i don’t know how it has gotten 5 stars ever.
Misleading
I tried a seven-day free trial, and even that was not worth it. It is especially not worth the $79 I was just charged for the year because i missed the deadline to cancel (despite the same-day notice they gave me at 2am). The AI did not do what I expected it would do, and it does not allow you to export a section of the video you were editing, is it claims to do. Customer service was minimal. The Help menu was limited and did not address my issue.
HORIBEL APP
SO BAD. it lags my ipad so much and the app is too laggy for editing. please stop this now or i will sue.
They ruined it wow!
I’ve had this app for like 10 years paying customer and now when I try to load my videos, they just get frozen and I can’t add any videos to project anymore. They completely ruined this app; one of the best editing apps ever until they ruined it.
too laggy and choppy
the app used to work amazing and never had any issues, but especially since all the stupid AI features were added, the app has become unuseable. its way too slow and choppy to edit videos and has become a complete waste of money!! i paid for premium for a easier and smoother editing process, and ended up needing to just switch to a new software.
Not worth the subscription
This app took 86 dollars off my card and has no refunds and it sucks because its not even worth it no subscription is this high for this amount.

I’ve been using this app for over four years. It got much worse. It crashes all the time. I just can’t take it no more I’m unsubscribing never again piece of garbage app.

Not free costs money and horrible
This app is horrible. If your making Ai videos than great but if you want to use your content and want to ad music. It won’t find you music like IG or facebook or TikTok would do. It was useless and only offered sounds of different music . No vocals. Which made it horrible for me. Deleted it in 1 hour of use .
AI Auto Edit Gone
I signed up to try this last year and because the app was so unhelpful, I forgot about it until they hit my PayPal for the renewal this year. I thought that maybe it would be better, but it’s even worse than it was. So many better options out there, this doesn’t even make my list.
Needs some major updating
of the current glitches I’m having with editing right now. I have been a subscriber for several years now and have tried to produce a video for days and it won’t get past 40% uploading. Also, my voice recording only uploads the fist half and the rest goes null! If not fixed I will have to find a new way to produce my videos! Beyond frustrating!
There’s a bug
There’s a bug where when you press the play button it jumps the video two seconds ahead. It delays the audio from the video making it hard to edit.
Rip off
You pay a yearly subscription fee and then they want you to buy tokens to use almost everything.

Fix this NOW!
I've been a user of PowerDirector since 2016. It's been a good mobile editing software, but now my projects keep disappearing and reappearing. This is extremely frustrating, because I put in so much effort into my projects, only for them to be inaccessible out of the blue. It doesn't help that I use this for work, too.
Laggy
This app is a nightmare on ios. Switching back to Android to edit my videos!

Ai will die
Used to be a useful albeit slow editing software, now it’s just garbage. Especially with them trying to force their ai slop down peoples throats, despite the ai looking awful as ai usually does. Don’t download, just use windows movie maker.
Best Editing App
I’ve been using Power Director since 2016! I’m a happy customer! I love the editing tools and the easy to follow process! I definitely recommend if you’re looking for some cheap, but excellent easy to use editing on a smartphone this is it👍🏽👍🏽
UPDATE: I absolutely hate this app now for the past few years the updates have made this app un usable. I can’t upload videos from no more than a few weeks ago, I have 1000 s of videos, and can’t edit half of them , constantly crashing, won’t save some videos , I don’t have room when I plenty of storage, I’m canceling my subscription, and taking my talents to CapCut. Power Director use to be my favorite, but the crazy update they done made them lose a loyal customer! I been a a loyal subscriber since 2016! Time for a change ✌🏾

Keep getting kicked off app
When editing a video I get kicked off the app.
Started off great, but now…
I am a long time customer from the days when if you bought it (which I did) you were supposed to have free lifetime use. Once it became a $34 yearly app it seemed I was kicked off that program, but the app was so good (compared to others) I didn’t worry about the cost.
It’s been about 4 or 5 years and somehow my account is no longer considered “Pro” until I upgrade to the latest, higher costing model. I understand there are new innovations but I was an original “lifetime” purchaser.
Oh well, such is “life”. At this point it doesn’t matter how good it is. If you don’t honor the commitment you will lose at least one long time user. Maybe you don’t mind so much, but I wouldn’t make a habit of doing that. Anyway, people seem to love the new features and regardless of your response, I wish you all well.

Not worth it to me
Made my video into a cartoon but sound was out of sync and the mouth movement was wrong.
Was better before
Dont buy! Years ago I used this app for fantastic videos on my Samsung, but on Apple it's terrible. Very limited editing options, and harder to use. I hate you have to purchase it immediately. If I had tested this, I would not have bought it.
Aspect ratio
If I can’t manually stretch my videos aspect ratio to be what I want it to be (ex 4:3 to 16:9 without scaling the whole image or zooming it in) then the app is beyond useless to me.
More often than not frustrating
I’m an ‘Avid’ user of this companies video editing software on the PC. On the Windows platform Cyberlink PowerDirector is amazing. This program is not. Granted I’m not using one of the new $1000 Apple devices and therefore your mileage may vary. 2 stars for the iPhone XR user, is beyond generous.

Look this is a great video editor for the price but oh my God it is so annoying when you’re trying to edit a video and random bugs mess up your entire progress… the volume fades in on your perfect voice over recording… or for some reason you can’t do a voiceover on an edit that you’ve already spliced together for the last hour… large projects get disoriented in the editor… it’s great when it works but the bugs really suck
Loved it in the beginning!
This tool worked great in the beginning. Not sure why this app is starting to becoming glitchy and not working properly.
Very slow & Crash bug
I’m not sure what happen to this app but recently it’s been slower to open and lags constantly. It freezes a lot and crashes while working on projects. Especially on the section of adding a new background to photos or videos. I have to constantly clear it to get back or restart my phone completely. Please fix.
Warning erased
This editor is great for small projects (under 10 minutes). Anything after the timeline gets laggy and will crash. I tried to import a video to the project timeline and it completely erased the whole project and replaced it with the one clip. To fix this definitely have backups/duplicates of the project you can lose it!
Not sure why popular
I had so many issues with this free trial in 10 minutes that I deleted it right then. So many apps have more accurate generations, less clunky lay out, and more free features.
