Customer Support is abysmal
I paid for this service through an instagram ad. They took my payment and while setting up the account the process crashed and gave me a reference code to contact support. Support is an ai chatbot that gives me the same prompts, when I asked for a real person it says they referred it to an agent but I have had /no contact in almost two weeks. I asked for a refund and silence. I don’t think I’ve ever had this bad an experience with any app. I cannot recommend this based on my experience.
False presentation
They using nice advertisement but real tutor is like from 90-s. I requested refund in January. It is End of June. Refund never arrived. They say it was sent to me through Link. I raised a ticked with Link, attaching transaction info and Link reply that it was never in their system. Fraud Praktika?

Support is awful
I am in a Spanish course but the app keeps trying to teach me Japanese phrases. I contacted support and they gave me a few things to try to fix it but said it would likely take several weeks before a fix was implemented because that is the turnaround time for their software devs. So basically I paid for a year of service to learn a language, and can’t learn that language.

I did a 7 day try out and then they charged me for a full year at over $100. I asked for a refund and they said there was nothing they could do for their own app . Directed me to apple support instead of doing the right thing and refunding me. Now I am out a lot of money for an app I’m really not going to use . Would not recommend .
Can’t access
Paid for the app, can’t access, reported it, they say it’s expedited, haven’t heard fro anyone except ai.
Voice Change
I’ve been using Praktika for months and Skye’s voice changed. I deleted the app and reinstalled it losing all data and her void still wrong! It is quite distracting.
Very annoying.
Im going to give the cut and dry truth here: this app sucks. The AI asks you to translate words you had not been taught, yet. Sometimes it speaks solely in the language you’re learning and you have to go out of your way to ask the AI to speak in your native language so you can understand.
The AI’s voice sometimes is super creepy and I hear growls and glitches. Even the lesson titles are in the language I’m learning and I don’t feel like I’m actually learning ANYTHING. This whole app completely blows. Don’t waste your time and just use a mix of Duolingo and Airlearn.

Terrible
Repeat themselves constantly pronounce my name wrong in each session I have to remind them how to say it. App said it supported teaching in my language and it doesn’t. Do not recommend they would not refund me even when I canceled within minutes of purchase. TRASH
Won’t activate
The system won’t save a password and password reset does nothing. Cancellation for “won’t activate” still results in you paying for three months.
Another fake-free app
I got about two minutes of trying the AI for free, (during which it didn’t adjust to what I said, and instead kept asking the same question) and then payment was required. Don’t waste the time on a n unnecessarily lengthy setup process if you’re not willing to pay up for the actual lessons untested.
AI cannot make adjustments
AI cannot make adjustments based on my feedback. It uses romaji in quizzes instead of hangul. I asked her to give quizzes in hangul it understood what I wanted promised that it will give quizzes in hangul, first question in hangul second one back to romaji...
They need to allow AI to make adjustments instead of pushing their pre programmed questions.

Practice support
They make it hard to get to the report support they trick you into getting into them as well Subscription that you don’t even want and then they won’t let you cancel it
Repeated charges, no way to cancel
Still getting charged after trying to contact to cancel multiple times. Stay far away.

The AI teaching was interesting but was a bit too fast for me even when I asked her to slow down. Then they automatically charged me $34.99 for three months when it clearly says it is $8 per month. Do the math. And Apple will not give me a refund which is BS to me. I’ll go back to Duolingo.
Can not understand mis annunciated words. Scam-Horrible app.
I tried to cancel the subscription you cannot to that on the app or change you subscription unless your upgrading. So, it works if you’re giving them more money, but you cannot downgrade or cancel!!!! The app could not decipher my mid-annunciated words. That’s why this app didn’t work for me., Canceling was a nightmare, it will take more money from you, but it will not cancel or down grade your subscription. It was such a hassle. I had to call and talk to a live person. Not to mention when it does the upgrade it doesn’t tell you how much you’re paying. It just says congratulations You’ve upgraded to premium. Worst app I’ve ever used.

Better conversation than duo, but worse than most other apps.
I didn’t mean to get the app in the first place. It said I could do “10 days free”, then I clicked to do that and it somehow purchased a year. I used it for a few weeks anyhow, to try to get my moneys worth.
I mostly do the custom scenarios, because the “lessons” are exceptionally bad. They also can’t really be done hands free, and I definitely want it to be hands free. The ‘Practice’ calls can be done hands free though. I would sometimes use it while driving.
Problems I noticed wth the practice calls:
1. I often had to give custom instructions at the beginning of the call, because it has a set pattern it always wants to use. I always had a bunch of custom instructions I kept in the notes app, so I could quickly copy/paste them over at the start of conversations.
2. It would still frequently forget instructions. Like, if I was learning some new words, I might ask it to say the word at the start of the sentence. It would do that for like 4-5 sentences then stop.
3. By FAR the most annoying issue is that the LLM isn’t really trained on your voice. They have a model to transcribe your voice to words, then they have a separate model to send those words as text to the AI. The issue is, the voice transcriber was not good at figuring out which word you’re using if they sound the same. So like, if we’re talking about a third person, I might say “llamó” (he called), but it would it was “llamo” (I call). Then the AI would tell me I was wrong.
Or when I asked the difference between “que” and “como”, and the AI said “como means ‘like’ whereas K is a letter.” Because if you don’t have que in a Spanish sentence, it will consistently translate it as “K”.
An AI trained on voice would hear the sounds and figure out what you’re saying. An AI trained on text and using a transcriber, will not. I had to stop using it as I got more into past tenses, and half the time I said something about ‘he/she did X in the past’, it would think I was talking about myself in the present. Even when context made it extremely clear I wasn’t.

Commercials are misleading
The commercials on Instagram make the app appear as it’s conversational with an ai chat partner. But it’s not that way. You have to press and hold down a button to talk, and then wait for a response and repeat. So you cannot multitask, like chat while preparing dinner for example. Disappointing.
Practika review
It’s really good at answering questions and making custom exercises but it’s pronunciations vary, it will try to teach you how to pronounce a word but not pronounce it the same way twice so I would recommend getting Google Translate to speak the word if your unsure
Don’t be fooled.
This app is garbage. I wasted $50 on it. The avatars do NOT look like the ads. They look like they’re from a 1994 video game. And their diction is robotic and unnatural. Save your money. Trust me. I’ve asked for a refund, and they refused.
