It was a prefect app but…
Everything was perfect with this app, but now when you add a song from your library it doesn’t let you select the part you want and it actually ruined the music section for this app. Please revert to how it was and it’s a 5 star for sure…Meanwhile is useless and will probably unsubscribe and delete it.

I genuinely love this app and think the editing tools are excellent, but the value of the subscription is seriously dragged down by the AI usage limits. Paying $5.99 per week only to get 10 AI feature uses every 7 days feels extremely restrictive, especially when those are some of the app’s best features. You can burn through the most valuable tools in a single day and then be stuck waiting a full week for more. For a weekly paid subscription, that feels less like premium access and more like a paywall stacked on top of another paywall. Great app, but the cost-to-value ratio for AI features is hard to justify in its current form.

Absolutely useless
The app is glitchy as heck and utterly useless. I tried stitching some videos together and it kept replacing some clips with duplicates of other clips and no matter how many times i went back and switched them out again it just kept switching them back when I’d go to make other changes. Spent an hour trying to make a one minute video and it was absolutely infuriating. Ended up deleting the app and will find something better.

Why is everything pro
I’m a fan page for starters and your app is one of the main things people use for colorings yet you guys make everything pro an it’s so annnoying

Deceptive Free Trial
Be careful of the wording, the free trial is only if you select the weekly. They got me for $39 for the year, well played Prequel, well played.

I paid for the subscription primarily for the flash effect, which granted comes out really good, but you only have 10 uses before having to wait 7 days to reuse, I could understand if it was for people without a subscription but if you are paying you should have unlimited uses. I cancelled my subscription quickly after finding this out.
i can’t use this app any more
I used to use this app a lot to process photos and my work, but with each update it got worse and worse. I endured when the developers made an inconvenient interference with the selection of presets and filters, for some reason combining it all, I was silent when most of the filters became unavailable, but the fact that now I can no longer use the presets already created finished me off. Now they can only be used for videos.

Disgusting Creators
Ask for you login (you have to use an account of something google,apple,etc because they want ur info. Then you will not even be allowed to use the app unless you start paying 5.99.
Poor Subscription Management
I was really interested in trialing this application and likely to sign up for an annual subscription. However, the subscription panel is poorly designed. It defaults to a weekly subscription with no free trial. So I then toggled the free trial setting. Then changed it to an annual subscription, because I presumed I would enjoy the application.
However, when changing between weekly and annual, it reverts the previous election for the free trial.
This feels like poor practice, poor design, or both. I raised this to Apple refund support and it was denied. A very poor experience that will prevent me from using or recommending this application amongst photography and social media management groups.

Will steal ALL DATA
Company is beyond shady. The first thing I did was make an account and all they did is steal my data and make their unusable stay as far away from this app as possible, as it is the biggest scam I’ve ever seen.

Prequel isn’t as good as I remember
I remember installing this app to edit photos about 2021-2022. It had a massive change, and now I can’t post my photos without having to pay money. The UX is fine, but I feel misled by the app being free when all the nicer stuff that you want is premium. You are better off with the Adobe apps; trust me. 😡

Why do you not have any dots or pro signs on the pro effects, filters or tools? There is no way to discern between the free and the paid things. I have to use each of the tools and check back if you’ve made the exporting of the output *pro only*. Totally irritated.

Poor Facial Recognition
Does not recognize 99% of facial images and is driving me nuts. I was hopeful about this but not now.

There is nothing in this app that makes the photos look like they do in the ads. Those photos are shot in a way that gives them the effect. Ever effect in the app has been done before and yes all incredibly basic and mostly makes photos look worse
Misleading “2-Day Trial”
The app advertised a 2-day free trial, but I was charged in less than 48 hours. That is not a full 2-day trial and feels misleading. I tried contacting support and received no meaningful response. This lack of transparency creates a frustrating and unfair user experience.

Absolutely ridiculous weekly subscription price. Might as well just learn to use film cameras if you want the film camera look. Or you could subscribe to adobe products and learn to edit photos yourself for less than this. Not having free options immediately available then having premium options you can subscribe for is a missed opportunity. They want you to subscribe before you even get to see anything.

Undisclosed use of AI
I downloaded the app cause I saw an ad on instagram promoting this photo edit option but it did not disclose that they utilize AI for this editing effect. Incredibly disappointing. Not only due to the effects of AI on our environment but also because it changed my facial features and ruined my photo, Do not recommend.
Misleading
One of the most common issues with apps today is the misconception that it is a “free” app. If you need to purchase anything at all, whatsoever, to use the app, it should not be considered “free”. The presentation is nice but people aren’t just looking for the free option, but we expect clarity.

You should be able to open the app and immediately start editing, it takes five minutes to get started. Then they want eight dollars a week to edit photos.

Classic scammer AI app. They use slick photos on the main app landing page but their filters do nothing close to what they advertise. Their WES filter doesn’t actually change the total colors to create the pastel look. Scam. Don’t buy
photo limit on gold plan
Even on the gold plan I can only edit 10 pictures every 7 days. Despite the app saying it’s unlimited, support emailed me to confirm. $6 a week for 10 photos? No thanks.

I used to love using prequel back when it first came out, but now you genuinely cannot use ANYTHING on the app without paying for it. It’s a huge scam and I’m very disappointed because I was a longtime user
False advertising
Followed the ads on Instagram for the Las Vegas filter. Download the app, have to go through the whole sign up process only to find out there is no such filter on the app. I tried different word combinations too. Nothing shows up.

Won’t let you do anything unless you agree to pay for a weekly subscription to the app. Promotes itself as free and then doesn’t tell you that they expect you to pay $288 a year until after you download it and wastes your time answering a plethora of questions. Too many apps are starting to do nonsense like this and it needs to be illegal and banned. If your app is not 100% free you shouldn’t be able to list it as such.
