Disappointed
The app works great while paying. As soon as you stop, they release your info and the calls start back up. They don’t remove you from anything. Just block them while paying.

Most useless waste of money
Not only have the spam texts and calls not gone away after three months, they have gotten worst- it will say 33 days left estimate to delete info from brokerage account for six months- your data will never get deleted from these brokerage firms and when it gets down to three days left it stays there for days and then goes back to 34 days left to delete data- it’s an endless waiting game where the app never delivers the intended service of deleting your personal info one of the thousands of scams out there being sold as protection. Such a let down

Accessed my subscription directly through their website and its impossible to cancel. They provide a support email to request the cancellation. I’ve sent multiple email requests to do so but no replies. Am now having to involve Discover and dispute the charges. Spam calls have dramatically reduced but their terrible customer support makes it NOT worth it.

BE AWARE
If you decide to purchase the subscription make sure you DO IT THROUGH APPLE. If you give them your credit card directly, it is impossible to cancel your subscription. I tried emailing their support on multiple occasions with no response. There is no cancel subscription option in app or online. All the help you get is some forum they made saying that you have to cancel through Apple. EVEN DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT DOESNT FIX THE PROBLEM. Eventually after no resolve from Apple support and nothing from Privacy Hawk, i had to go through my bank to block their monthly subscription and dispute the charges.

Bad service and hard to cancel
They just slap “privacy@“ onto any service and send a copy/paste email and then when you try to cancel your service over web cause you have to email their support just to cancel your subscription (lol) they ghost you.

All I did was enter my information to see where my information was being used, and I didn’t go forward with the payment or trial because it’s ridiculously expensive, and everyday day since, I’ve had a huge amount of spam and unknown callers call my number. Way more than usually. So as much as they seem to “protect your information”, I’m pretty sure it gets leaked regardless by putting it into this app.

I paid for a subscription online not through the App Store and the only way to cancel is to send a request online, which they never respond. I sent more than 1 request and they still billed me.
So I disputed it and magically they responded to my CC servicer.
On top of them stealing my money I have more junk emails than I started with. Literally farming our info.

I ended up with MORE spam texts after downloading this app. It did nothing to stop spam in my email, text, or phone calls.

This app is scam. Don’t fall for the smiley faces in their advertisements. First of all, this company does not fulfill their promises. Secondly, as soon as you sign up, you’ll get a notification that your data has been compromised, which leads me to point number three. Not only do they charge you a subscription fee but they also make money on selling your data. Fourthly, they have no customer service aside from a bot that sends you unhelpful generic answers, nor do they have a legitimate physical address.

THIS IS VERY MUCH A SCAM!! Do not download this app!!!! It was saying that my apple account was hacked and I needed to send money and get it fixed. Do not fall for it. I’m currently in the process of securing everything and getting money back
Terrible UI
Purchased a year using my apple email on the browser, come to find out I can’t cancel to stop recurring billing without contacting support. No response from the PH team. Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card provider.
Glitchy and Doesn’t Work
I had to sign in multiple times. The red continue button was blocking the age box. When finally able to sign in and scan, it glitched and said it was a bad scan or error and sent me back to sign page. I attempted twice and decided to delete app. 0 stars are not an option.

Kinda funny I downloaded and seen what it was all about and didn’t like the amount and deleted. Then started getting a lot of spam calls.

I paid for a full year subscription and the app still tells me I don’t have a subscription. Total scam. I’ve tried restoring purchases-nothing. I contacted support and got zero response. No fix, no refund, no communication. Don’t waste your money on this. If the developers can’t even respond to paying customers, this app doesn’t deserve to be in the App Store.

You make an account and ask for a membership you delete it
But even though you deleted it, it just spams your Gmail that you have exposures and you need to make a membership until you unsubscribe I don’t even remember subscribing in the first place

Started off well, I upgraded my membership, they came through with great progress, well worth the extra money then in the last 2 months, crash city! Contacted them by phone, email and zendesk with radio silence. Have no choice but to cancel my subscription. It’s a real shame too.

Customer Support Lacking
Used this service for a while, but when I decided to cancel, things fell apart. I canceled but was still charged the next monthly charge. Went online and started a chat. Was told by the bot I would be transferred to an agent. Waited several minutes with no response from an agent. When I sent another chat message asking about the delay, I received an automated message saying they were offline. Stated chat hours were 9-5 PT. Started my chat at 4:15 PT.

Im sorry but this app seems like a complete rip off. When data brokers are trying ti be removed some of them say up to 60 days for a timeframe. Which seems like a pretty weak argument for paying yet another $30. Furthermore. After patiently waiting nearly 30 days it has said "completing soon" dragging oit the process even longer. The email subscription thing is a HERCULEAN task and requires an absurd amount of leg work on YOUR PART which is what this app is supposed to help with. Finally, i am getting MORE SPAM CALLS, EMAILS, TEXTS than ever before. Never again.

Worst experience trying to cancel my subscription, they won’t help you unless you subscribe through the app. I did it on my laptop and can’t cancel it on my end. I have reached out to technical support multiple times with no real help or resolution.
