These lessons make no sense
I’ve been using Duolingo to learn French for a while, but thought I’d check this out to improve my speech. I’m intermediate level, but the first “lesson” assumed I was advanced because I didn’t understand any of it. So I chose Beginner level to see how it would proceed, and the first “lesson” drilled me on a bunch of soccer/football equipment and terminology. I doubt that the first words a beginner wants to learn are things like shin guards, cleats, jerseys, and stadiums. Seriously, this app is so awful and buggy!

I disputed a $49.99 charge from Promova for a subscription that I canceled on the same day it was charged.
I did not intend to continue the subscription beyond the initial period, and I canceled immediately after realizing the renewal. I have not used the service after canceling.
I attempted to contact the company multiple times by email and phone to request a refund, but I have received no response.
Because the subscription was canceled right away and the service was not used, I believe this charge is unfair and should be refunded but they never refunded and responded of my request😡 please be careful with these people

Talking with AI partner
Often, the AI doesn’t hear well what I say. My words are often transcribed incorrectly. This makes it hard to maintain my motivation to practice conversations.

In order to sign up for the free trial week, I had to sign up for a sub Subscription. But they immediately billed me, with no free trial at all.

Huge Scam
Promos lied about the 7 day free trial and refuses to refund stating its apple’s fault like they don't get paid. The app is full of ads asking for more money so I never got past the additional charges. Apple was of no help

I signed up for the 7 day free trial and was charged $89.99 and on the same day tried to cancel and was told it is not eligible for cancelation. The app is full of ads asking for more money. It was unusable. Apple is no help either and I no longer trust the apps on the Apple Store.
Waste of time and money. they offered free 7 day trial yet they did charged me for the whole year
Duolingo which is free is much better. Promova is based on sensless repetition and therecis no cohesion between lessons.
If you’re advanced at any language - don’t get this
I swear from the add I thought for the advance option it would be better, but even in advance mode it’s barely focusing on the basics

Also why are we talking about soccer? Is it because of the World Cup? If I didn’t already know about soccer in English I would have been completely lost. Maybe start with food, shopping, watching tv, social media. Something everyone does on a regular basis not a niche topic.

Confused or False advertising?
I downloaded the app for Korean. It shows you the dialogue on the ad but when you do the modules, you don’t see the dialogue or text practices. I am somewhere past beginner level and just about intermediate, but the app is limited to what they say “intermediate” but I would say it’s pretty beginner level vocabulary and grammar. At least advertise what you offer just be fair please 😭.
Made no sense!
So started teaching me in a way I liked except I started learning soccer terms… which likely won’t help me in France and after feeling good about the few French soccer words AI chats starts asking me about the weather in the lesson. In full sentences using none of the vocabulary it taught me in the first lesson and wanting me to respond in French sentences. Super weird. I will canceling my free trial before I get charged!
Wish I could get a refund
The flash card based lessons and interactive practice conversations are on two completely different levels of learning. The structure of the flash cards does not provide me with the language base to use the level of difficulty in the conversations or AI tutor.
Charged for cancelling free trial
I didn’t like the product. It was about the same as Duolingo but with much more repetition for the same four words. I cancelled within a week of the free trial starting. Naturally, I get charged $22.04 for the subscription anyway. Subpar app and I got scammed, great.

AI is useless
The regular learning is fine but the AI learning is a joke. It almost never interactúa as it doesn’t hear what you are saying. So far it has not done anything
Unstable. App freezes; forced quit; lose progress; start over from beginning.
This could be a great language app. But too often it just freezes. Oddly, it still allows me to quit but it won’t advance to the next page. All the time I spent just goes to waste and I need to start the lesson all over. Disappointed.
I didn’t teach me Korean
It automatically made me read Hangul and asked me to identify what it was without a picture… I wouldn’t recomwnd if u can’t read Hangul
