Close to useless
This is the worst grocery store app. The search bar either doesn’t recognize exact items and shows give no results or it gives you 100s of products that have little to no relevance. I searched “polar seltzer”, and the results are just 3 individual 1.5 liter bottles and none of the 12 packs. I search for bakery cake slice and the results are 1,352 items none of which are actual cake slice options. Also, why on EARTH would a grocery store app not show the prices?!
Bring back digital receipts
Loved this until they removed the app pay function which also removes the digital receipt function. I carefully track our spending. Having digital receipts ment I didn’t have to keep track of little strips of paper all over the place.
Please bring at least the digit receipts functionality back but the app pay would be nice to have back as well.
This is the only reason I marked so low.
***UPDATE: thanks to the dev who responded. Unfortunately entering my phone number in the key pad is not the case, I still receive a paper receipt instead of a digital receipt.

Forced use of location services.
I downloaded the app while traveling. I don’t want to pick a favorite store. I do not want to share my location. I just want to use the app.
The app refuses to function until you pick your favorite store. Stop the #DATA gathering and just let me use the app.

Sometimes the app shows prices but most times it doesn’t. It’s useless if you are trying to compare local prices. I saw previous responses by the developer for this and your suggestion is to call the store and speak to an associate for the prices? Are you crazy? Publix is more expensive than almost every other store so why can the others display local prices and Publix can’t. It’s absurd that you would suggest we call the store to check prices when every other grocery store allows you to see the price on their app.

Poor app organization. When you click on BOGO it doesn’t break down categories. It breaks down by manufacturer (WHAT?!?!?! UGH).
Also, all BOGO items are listed in a straight line without any sorting. You have to scroll through 500 items to see what is for sale. Publix isn’t cheap, but they’re making it hard for you to find deals. (See Instacart’s Publix listing, BOGO. It provides a way to sort them.) It is a shame that a corporation’s own app is worse than third parties.
Realistically, this app is the worst and deserves zero stars.
This app shows how little Publix Corp cares about its patrons, as it forces you to go outside this app. I no longer use this app as Instacart is better. I only use it as a shopping list. However, your app misses the point! Why is another app easier to use than yours? Why do you even have this app as Instacart presents all the breakdowns that are needed? I don’t have to scroll through 500 items just to find something that’s on sale (not hyperbole).

Every time I’m in the store and I need to open this app it’s always update update. Half the time I have to re-login then I just throw my hands up and go elsewhere.
Bad app for bad stores of rotten/expired foods.
If only Publix could include photos of all sides of their products like every other grocery store app does, the app would be a 1,000 times better and more than that, the prices again like every other grocer.

You’re the best!
I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you so much to Rob, the meat department manager at the Gulf to Bay Publix in Clearwater. I was specifically looking for some bone-in pork chops, which they just happened to be out of on display. When I asked, he told me they had just received a fresh shipment off of the truck and offered to rush getting some ready and saving them for me while I shopped. It made a big impact, not only on my dinner prep for the night, but also reinforced the kindness and assistance that I can only find at Publix supermarket when I shop. Kudos to Rob! He personifies excellent customer care and I hope he is recognized.

Old store in Ave Maria,FL needs modernization to meet the demands of growing community. I prefer to drive to Publix on Oil Well Rd to do my bi-weekly shopping because AveMaria store does not carry the selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, ready made food, etc. I mostly use the Ave store for a convenient pharmacy. Please consider upgrading the Ave Maria store to make it on par with newer stores.

I just got one complaint the staff at check out unfriendly. They did not put all my groceries in my buggy which I did not realize to that night. Because my daughter had put up the cold stuff. I did not get my gallon milk or my two gallon ice cream.
Must pay in app
The change where you have to pay in the app for deli orders is frustrating and opens up just another place my date can be hacked.
