Pay + Sub
Having to pay for subscription for an application you bought defeats the purpose of buying applications.
Disappointed
I’ve used this app for 3 and a half years and I’ve come to the decision to cancel my subscription with this app.
A PAID app should not be giving me less features than an add free, free to use app. I got this specific app for 2 reasons. To pursue my hobby in meteorology, and to protect myself and others from dangerous weather conditions.
The only thing you can do on this app even after spending $10 is use the radar. No models or forecasts to look at because it’s locked behind a subscription.
While other apps provide all of the above 100% for free and with no adds and is trending as the #1 app for that very reason.
Radar omega please take a step back and fix this. I hate not supporting you guys anymore and I hope one day this becomes better.

Everything is small
Why in the world did they make everything so small. It’s so hard to pick the right tabs because everything is like half the size for no reason.
not working properly
MRMS radar does not show up on top of land- it’s like that layer is put behind it the layer for land and all that I can see is a small shadow. When there’s water. I can only see the radar with the single site radar. And even then it’s super hard to see.
Nothing but loading now!
This was by far the best app. But now!! It is USELESS!!! It is just A BLACK SCREEN that’s loading continuously! I’m actually mad about this. Like real mad. I depended on this app during tornado season. Now it’s winter weather season and I can’t depend on it for anything at all unless I want to stare at a loading buffering symbol on a black screen. Because that’s all that this does! It IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS AND A WASTE OF SPACE!!!!!! I reached out to the company days ago too and GOT NO RESPONSE! Which tells me they don’t care because they’re making their money, getting rich, anyway. But karma is real and the developers will face it. And it may come in the form of an unexpected storm that wreaks havoc on them. And do NOT suggest to uninstall and reinstall because I have done that THREE TIMES NOW! Wtf
Used to enjoy it, likely EOL
First paid weather app I installed for both desktop and mobile. ~6 months ago my custom positions disappeared on mobile and now nov 2025 the app won’t load radar for me. Can only assume the app is EOL given it hasn’t had an update in over 12 months. Sad to see a previously good app to go but can’t rely on it now and no way to “update” it given that there is no new version for a year
App update
I have always enjoyed using Radar Omega, but it’s time for me to find a new Weather app. They have no concern with their subscribers who pay for the service. They just recently did an update and the dashboard at the bottom of the app is now super small. I tried to talk to customer service about it and they have no concern. I wondered why Ryan Hall left Radar Omega. I think I found out.

I have an iPad tablet and had no issues with this app for the past 3 years. All of a sudden it does load,

This most recent “overhaul” broke the app. Can’t view model info. Map doesn’t zoom in and out etc. bad

Very overpriced for what you get. The app lacks basic featurs even after paying $8.99 to download.

Many bugs never updated
This app used to be good but it’s full of bugs and hasn’t been updated in well over a year. It’s been running on auto pilot and my many pleas for help to support have all been un answered. I believe the developers have all bailed on the app and it’s just a matter of time until it’s snuffed out.

This app suddenly stopped working for me after I paid $50 for a second year in a row for it. I reached out for support for several days via email and Twitter and received none… DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP!!
Lost Radar
Maybe it's not their fault, but mostvof the weather stations dissappeared from my area. The best was on a military base and the DoD is no longer skating weather data. You likely won't have any in your area either.
Scam
I don’t even know how to use it plus can it just show a map of storms instead of making us click on radars. I feel like it doesn’t even show storms correctly because it said it was raining on my house but it wasn’t even raining. No wonder it makes us pay to get it so it can steal our money. Do NOT buy this it’s just for them to get rich just use the free ones or your weather app!!!
Constantly reloading
I have to constantly reload this app on my iPhone and iPad. It is very annoying especially when I want a quick glance at the weather during a threatening period. Please get this fixed. I have reported this before and nothing is fixed. The app is rarely updated. I just cancelled my subscription. Looks like your getting a bunch of bad ratings. Better start fixing things.
OUTDATED MAP
Map is outdated. It says Gulf of Mexico and I don’t even know what that is. Gulf of America however is what should be there but it is not. If I could get my a refund I would.
White Elephant
This app is complex and there are no tips or pointers. It is extremely expensive and I was afraid to incur more cost by hitting the wrong toggle. Radar image was useless and I could not change it. I was on the hook for $12+ per month yet while it was raining, I found nothing usable on radar. I emailed support and got a price list with Greek letter names that I will never remember. I’ve worked in app development and this is about as useless and confusing an app as I’ve ever seen. Don’t buy it. I deleted mine.
No updates in a year
While this app was very good and regularly updated, apparently it’s now headed for life support status. No updates in a year means nobody cares- it’s just a money grab at this point.

RadarOmega used to be the top weather app. Unfortunately, it has since been completely abandoned by its developers, and has fallen into disrepair. At the time of this writing, it hasn’t been updated in nearly a full year. Its primary competitor put out an update 48 hours ago.

Got this app to view the live cams but have had an extremely hard time finding/figuring out the app the only thing I think I’m seeing is that you need to pay more for those features after already paying for the app wish I would have known this before the purchase I really wish I could get a refund because I feel like I’ve been scammed into having to pay for more

Welp I have been seeing this app pop up on feeds and thought let’s try it out and see. I paid 9$ for the app and can’t see much of anything I downloaded it for. They want more money to even see what my reason was for it. I say Scam and click bait. Why pay 9$ to only find out you want more money to use it.

Very Frustrated
I’ve had your app for about a year now and love it, recently I was checking the weather out and I’m subscribed to the Beta level and it asked me to log in which I attempted to do and it says my email is not known. I’ve been paying monthly since I got the app and only thing it will allow me to look at is the FREE version and not the Beta subscription which I pay for monthly. Any help would be appreciated.
Updates killed the best radar app
This app used to be amazing and now it is impossible to use.
Not Working
Not working at all for the past 3 weeks… what is going on? Is there a fix? Will adjust my review to 5 stars if corrected. I’ve loved using this app over the last 2 years, but can’t endorse paying for it if it doesn’t work anymore…
Was once the BEST, recent update rendered it USELESS
I’ve tried asking on RadarOmega’s twitter and subreddit, but to no avail. The app worked beautifully throughout the whole time i’ve had it, but after a recent update (to the app, not my iOS), it has stopped working. I get a black screen, with an icon in the upper left that just spins. Nothing will load correctly. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, nothing works. Would love if a dev could help me out, otherwise this has become vaporware.
New update is impossible to read
This app has been great for the two years I’ve used it. I happen to do an update on the app and all of a sudden there’s like no blur to the background. It’s like impossible to read. I’m not sure if this has any influence on the new iOS 26 update but I will say if it does, this is not it, there is just no readability there needs to be some in the background when you’re trying to change modes
Pay to View
There are other apps that are free with better radar than what you get with even the cheapest subscription to RadarOmega. In my opinion, for RadarOmega to be close to user friendly and get the features you would expect, you have to pay a lot more than what it’s worth.
I would gladly pay $20 or $30 one time for this app with all features unlocked. But not $120 a year for something you can find on a bowser and bookmark.

Sadly unreliable
Used to be a solid go-to, now the app (even MacOS version) go blank and needs to be closed and reopened FREQUENTLY to be of any use. What am I paying for?
Weather tracker not a radar app
This app is not the same as your regular radar apps this is a weather tracker completly useless if your just want a more detailed radar app
I love this app but not all that stable
I love the customizability that you don’t get with RadarScope. BUT, RadarScope is not as buggy and actually updates. And there’s WeatherWise which I actually like more then RadarScope due to the color tables being easier on my eyes and I can actually see the area I’m looking at.
The other problem is unacceptable. You have to know this already, but Max Velocity uses RadarOmega. He saves lives, but he ends up using something else sometimes like tonight he had to use WeatherWise more then he did RadarOmega for today’s severe weather outbreak in western Texas and eastern New Mexico. But he needs this to work in order to save lives. That has to be the priority, not the money that you get from your border-line not worth it pricing. But we have to pay for it because we need the desktop version. This can’t go on. I want to follow Max Velocity’s footsteps and save lives without putting mine at risk by chasing. That’s the other problem. A lot of these chasers use RadarOmega, and they need it to make sure that they don’t end up right in the path of possibility an intense to violent tornado. You don’t understand how many people need this app anymore. The globe is getting warmer which typically means every severe weather season is just going to get worse. I need to be able to use RadarOmega without waiting 10+ minutes for a radar scan when WeatherWise already got it. But for me the RadarOmega interface is more familiar and I just prefer that interface rather than WeatherWise or RadarScope. But during the March 14 tornado outbreak, there were several instances where I waited as long as 25 minutes for a radar scan that was done in 2 minutes on either RadarScope and 2-4 minutes on WeatherWise.
Overall, the app on iOS or Desktop is not that stable and has bugs that significantly affect bug content creators. Even I want to be a content creator but at the price of RadarScope but how unstable the Radar Omega app is, I might as well make my on software someday when I can get better at coding and making apps and/or websites.

Good but many improvements could be made.
Little to no updates in recent leave the app vulnerable to frequent bugs with radar not loading and radar sweeps taking far too long to come in when compared to rival apps. Unfortunately WeatherWise clears this app even with the paid subscription.
Would love app…if it ever updated
So frustrated with this app. Rarely updates, takes forever when it does update, and is always 5-8 minutes BEHIND what is actually happening in my area. What good is that? What am I paying for?
Not sure how useful 30 sec previous frames are
For base level you only get a few secs of previous frames up to the hour you are on, not sure how helpful that is
