Only play if you’re rich
This game is only good if you dont mind spending your mortgage/rent money on this game. Don’t bother if you are part of the middle class or lower class.

OG Ragnarok had drop rates at .001% for the rarest items that you could farm. Semi-rare items in this game have a drop rate of .00089% that require you to do a million things to even attempt the RNG ONCE. It’s P2W trash. The people who are still playing have spent thousands of dollars and it’s been out for less than a year. AVOID!

This game could be great, however the GMs and developers are running it into the ground.
Communication around large updates or bug fixes is rarely accurate and borderlines on deceptive. The updates that are applied are surface-level and rarely improve gameplay. The community is strong, but the developers choose not to account for their feedback (see: memory leak issues). The developers have also refused player feedback around progression, choosing to create veritable spend gates in order to advance your character past a certain point (see: refinement system).
The silver lining is the community and the design team’s efforts on keeping the game fresh-looking.
The managers of this game seem determined to squeeze every penny out of players as quickly as possible, without any thought or strategy toward creating a long-term gaming environment and revenue stream.
There are many other issues, but I would caution anyone from starting this game unless they are willing to spend several thousand $ USD to progress their character, and are okay with their server dying in 6 months

Devs can’t balance the game
I was overlooking all the bugs and extremely p2w mechanics long enough. But somehow they manage to break class balance so much that some classes are unplayable it broke me. Save your sanity and look elsewhere this isn’t the game you want to be involved with

1) Long story long, you have to leave your phone running with the game app open in order for your character to farm and level up outside of quests. Literally so dumb, there is a whole auto system but they couldn’t implement that.
2) You can buy the best items in the game through the store with Diamonds.
Roughly $300-$700 each item. Assuming it’s the end game item. There are, I believe around 6 items. That right there is $1,800-$4,200 just for the items. Then you have all the packages to refine. Cards. Enchantment, etc. If you spend around $10,000 you will have a decent account (not the best). The game will make you believe that with the $15 starting pack, and all the other small packs will give you a crazy growth. Then by the time that you are strong enough, and spent days, weeks with the app opened and your phone becomes unusable. People will start quitting, because a new server opened. Unless you are extremely strong, you will be at the mercy of other players or end up quitting and joining the quitting train.
3) The game is dead. Servers start, within 15-30 days, a new server starts and only the people that spent money in the game is left behind. Don’t believe me? Go to server 1 and check it out for yourself.
4) The game doesn’t help new players who joined the server late. You can’t do low level dungeons, because the server is doing a dungeon 3-4x higher, and no one wants to waste their go on a low level dungeon, there is no benefit. Likewise, players do their thing and go back to afk leveling at their spot.
5) Leveling in this game, is painful to say the least. There is nothing you can’t do, other than just wait for time to pass until the server resets so you can do the quests which gives the most exp.

Misleading p2w toxic tactics
Refine success rates are far lower than what the game tells you. I spent over $1000 since my bf introduced me and hoped we could play together. I’m not a gamer. But wanted to play seriously for my boyfriend and poured heavily into my build before I learned the hard way all the predatory ways the developers make you spend money. The rng is beyond brutal. The number they tell you is not the success rate players experience. It is much worse. How else will they get you to spend money to stay competitive. They rigged this to make the failure rate for refines, upgrades, and shadow equipment so high you will fall behind with your build and progression. It’s predatory and obviously works as whales have no problem shelling out while more and more players continue to quit. Snipers are overpowered. It is so unbalanced for other classes despite having the same SE level, refine, enchant levels, tiers, etc. Majority are snipers and assassin cross. There’s not enough priests, paladins, or buff support players. Job class change is coming and hopefully that makes things more fair. But changing class means you’ll have to change your build, enchants, cards, everything. Just another way to get money out of you.

Glitchy, not fun and it’s just repeats of other games. I don’t like the navigation and the gameplay at all.
Job Imbalance
Too many hunter in this game no wonder why because they can deal more damage than any other classes. Wizard cast like the single target bolt is too slow. Priest resurrection has fixed cooldown what’s the purpose of priest who wants to be a full time support. Sinx can overpower other classes even with low pattack than higher pattack / matk of other classes
Fake success rates with upgrading/refining
If you want to be annoyed of fake success rates for upgrading/refining to where you’d be tempted to pay to play and be competitive then look no further. This game has free aspects but you cannot compete if you’re not spending money.
P2W plus will shut down in a year or two.
I get it. You want a ragnarok game again we all do. But the companies current practice of shutting down their ragnarok game and making a “new” one which is 95% the same but minor and eventually insignificant differences to be new (their idle game was also shut down to relaunch as the exact same but with NFTs) means nothing you do matters. Even if you whale to be top at PvP all of that money and time and effort will be gone in a year or two as Ragnarok XYZ: the third generation launches and this one is shut down. Don’t support this company they somehow rank as one of the most toxic and predatory mobile game companies and it’s such a shame they have the ragnarok IP and treat it like this

The game is v. Toxic & don’t let these ai & bot reviews mislead you. It’s very p2w w/ developers even going as far as giving streamers exclusive gifts. Gifts include advancement beyond 10 levels, with PvP being endgame it’s quite unfair as some of us can do nothing but stand there & die for the whales they’ve fabricated. DO NOT PLAY THE GAME. Boundless heroism in the latest event
Boundless heroism in the latest event only states to win an auction but they fail to mention what kind of auction to win since there are 3 stages to an auction. You can win an auction by blind bid which is the second stage but if there are multiple high bidders it goes to a live auction. This game will try its best to get any money from you and not be forthright by you. Btw they advertise customer service but the button does not work hence the 1 star review!

Extremely P2W
The gap between F2P players and P2W players is huge. The fact that you can only buy gold gear with diamonds thru the auction hall says more then enough. The drop rate for everything is egregious, the game limits you on everything in the game. Want to farm instances? Too bad, you can only do them 3 times a day. Want to farm materials all day? You can’t, you’re limited by a stamina cap. They have VIP privileges that gives you access to things like auto gathering, free answers on the OX app quiz, etc. the game is fun and decent at first but then it gets extremely boring and repetitive. They force you to afk farm after you complete your dailies and that gives the minimum exp you need to level. You’ll get maybe 1 level a day after Lv40 if you’re lucky. I made it to Lv54 and stopped playing, the events are P2W. The P2W guilds runs and ruins the servers. There’s no way to obtain better gear outside of getting extremely lucky or crafting trash blue gear meanwhile the P2W players all have gold and purple gear.

As usual I get sucked in to the nostalgia of the old days playing RO only to be scammed by these greedy developers. You grind nonstop and never get cards from monsters and you have two currencies making sent pointless. Then they release this music event and trick people into thinking you have a chance to get the good items when you get useless zenny over and over again.
Better Alternatives
Try Draconia Saga Online instead. You only have like 70 active members per server & their micro transactions are over priced, but at least you don’t need them to make the game worth playing unless you insist on the OTP required to create your own guild rather than join someone else’s. Everything else is either aesthetic or a minimal enough gain to not unbalance the game….

Just another gatcha game.
I keep hoping for a well balanced version of this game but it might be impossible. The game might benefit by making servers that is strictly not gatcha run. The equipments that players can buy and actually the other purchases that allow players to quickly upgrade their gear and outmatch the majority of players is absurd. Already difficult to compete with the top 10 guilds let alone compete for MVP rewards. Make some servers where if players have the option to purchase anything it would be costume items and nothing else. The game would really be more engaging that way. Also this game is PvP focused, the other events don’t add anything that fun or engaging. All the life skills go towards PVP. And the auto feature is painful. The list goes on and on. Don’t fall for this trap.

your level effects drop rate and exp, i was trying to afk farm a lunatic card with my level 21 wizard, let it run 10 hours, then researched drop rates, this is mostly a spectator game, everything is auto play, I was hoping to hit a point were i could just roam and level and farm but that doesn’t really exist with level effecting drop and exp rate. Back to private servers for me.
RO Veterans are Tired
Seriously. After spending $45k and being competitive on ROO back in 2022, this feels almost exactly the same if not worse. At launch, things will feel about equal, but take a look at the trading hall and note the currency that is obtainable by buying several of the $99.99 packs. That right there is where things will get bad. I will never forget the first MVP card drop selling for $25k on ROO. You can expect the same here. A more obvious sign of the predatory P2W tactics is the $14.99 soccer mount they hit you with at ct level 3 (literally 90 seconds into the game). I made it to level 26.5 and learned that the only way to get to lv28 cap on day 1 was to 24/7 auto grind, which essentially means killing my PC and forcing me to do emulator, all day every day. This game is also very much an idle game as right now you just autopath everything, and when pvp kicks up it will be a wallet competition. The only thing that I can give props to is the animations and the details in the models that are upgraded from previous titles, especially high wizard spells. Unfortunately I will be sitting this one out and I will enjoy by watching YouTube videos instead. Wake me up when gravity decides to do something non-mobile with the Ragnarok franchise.
Auto Play and no real mmorpg feel
Wish they would make an HD graphics RO with the original mmorpg feel. I would definitely pay a subscription plus any DLC for that not 99 cents for an epic weapon at lvl 10 then another epic weapon $2.99… this continues on and on. Also, auto daily for stamina limits the fun of killing mobs with friends. Each do their own daily then queue up for dungeon and hopefully get a new weapon or card and then that’s it! You’re done for the day.

It says that it unable to obtain version. So I was unable to play the game. Hopefully it’s a down age or doesn’t work in the US. I’m not sure which.

It’s like every month another attempt to milk the ragnarok franchise comes out. This is the current one. They need to just make one great version and then be done with it.
P2W Trash
It’s the same Ragnarok recycling you see every year for the 3-4 games they release. Starts out fine, seems like it’ll be possible to play while paying a small amount, or even free. Except their payment system is almost always bugged so most of the time you can’t buy anything if you’re not SEA or EU anyway even if you want to.
Then you notice you start to get further and further behind as you don’t buy the premium gear that auctions. People paying $50-$200 for 1 item that immediately puts everyone else weeks behind them in progress.
Just don’t bother.

Annoying and not fun
The stars are for the artwork and details. The rest of this game is hard to understand because things definitely got lost in the translation to English. The tutorials are done as conversations with characters, but a lot of what they say isn’t helpful or easy to understand. It’s too complicated of a game to not have clear instructions. Most of the confusion comes from what they choose to call things. The names just don’t make sense in English.
Not F2P friendly and support doesn’t exist
