It shows you people everywhere and not just near you. You may have matches but no one has any types of conversation. There are just much better apps when 8/10 of people who have this app also have another. Unfortunately Hinge is better. If you just want to look at slightly more attractive people and not talk to them then download Pinterest 🤷♀️

I can’t say much about the app. The problem I have is you have to give them access to all the contacts in your phone. Who would do that just to get on an app. That’s weird. Do you know what could be done with all that information, if given to the wrong people. Never!

I applied and was put on a waitlist for about a year and because of how it was overhyped on social media. I was so anxious to get on and when I did I was so disappointed

Modern society’s form of discrimination via looks and popularity. Would be a good case for a civil suit.

People are here validation and not actual connection. I’ve had more interaction and likes on hinge than Raya. I wouldn’t recommend.

Waitlist is too long
Been on the list for two years even with referral. You have to be a bbl built and buy at least 100k followers on instagram to be let on. I know because I’ve seen it work for others . Not for people that actually want to date and find love with others in their pay grade
The WORST
After 1.5 years of being on the waitlist, I was accepted to Raya. I paid the monthly feel. The pictures I saw reeked of social climbers. Absolute nobodies. I exited the app after a few minutes of browsing. I was in another app that’s completely separate from Raya. I took 2-3 screenshots in that app with Raya still open in the background. When I went back hours later I opened the app only to find out I was BANNED for screenshotting in a different app!! Even worse, they wouldn’t refund my monthly subscription I paid for. I had to go through Apple to get my money back. This app is a total sham; stay as far away as possible!!
it’s just a flex
i’ve gotten a bunch of matches in my first couple weeks but none of the men reach out first. im convinced these men are just on here to flex that they’re on raya.
i’m holding out to use it for my summer vacation plans but i’ll definitely be canceling right after if nobody chats. paying for the cheapest tinder subscription gets you a lot farther than this app does!

Not only do you have to be INVITED to even have this app. On top of that you STILL HAVE TO PAY for it 💸💸💸💸💸💸💸

there’s definitely more curated and more beautiful people on the app, everyone is in a realm of their own expertise. I think it’s a good intro but there are faults
1: it shows me matches from everywhere in the world in my daily card picks, since it’s trying to “foster high quality connections”, but it is unnecessary how many of those options are international, out of 20 daily options usually 2 are local and the rest are global, and I’m in LA.
I’m not interested in a long distance relationship so this is wasteful just wasting my money
2: in the global search, it isn’t tailored to your orientation even when u think it is in your preferences, so if you’re straight, you’ll see people to match with all over the world that are of the same sex…. Again, not very effective when this is a dating app and you’re showing people the wrong orientation.
3: the most expensive plan still limits your suggestions per day for (you guess it) members who are dominantly not in your area!
But guess what you get unlimited likes on profiles in the explore page but don’t even know if they’re the same sexual orientation. Get a grip Raya.

Raya should do categories
It’s great that you have try and keep raya’s community more “exclusive” I believe that to keep its standards of “Top” users… and as we move into a more transparent community. Raya could implement categories.. and separate networking from dating. In this way top candidates that look to network ca do so with very clear criteria. And on the dating you make sure that people there are transparent and clear on their intentions( dating vs hookup culture that is low and not very Top like mindset) just a though . Hope it is helpful

I have been waiting for probably 5 years. I now have a completely different career and title. But still I am locked out of this app with no ability to start again. :(
Waste of money
This originally started out as a celebrity app, but I’m just a regular marketing person and they seem to accept anybody these days. Signed up for a year membership. Matched with numerous men, but they rarely reached out first. Rarely got shown men from my city. Would show me men from other countries. Who’s actually flying to meet these matches? They would show men from all over the world. Even though you pay, you can only see a certain number of members at a time. Feels like the user base is pretty small. Was contacted by a few men, but none of them ever tried to meet up and actually make a date. Was a waste of time.

No option to delete your application
One star review because I was waitlisted for a while and gave up however I could not reach them to delete my data and my application. I do not feel comfortable with my data on the internet without being able to remove it if I do not want the app anymore. There should be an option to delete or withdraw your application after a certain amount of time

They repeat the same people you’ve said no to and fill the rest of your feed with nonsense. It’s a pure scam

this app has poor customer service and i’ve been waitlisted for almost 6 years now. i keep adding referrals and there’s been no difference despite how “famous” a referral is

My girls said I should sign up for this app. As we are all in the movie industry. Have been for over a decade. My friend was accepted same day. I applied and haven’t heard back. It would have been cool to see if I could find love. However this feels like a humiliation ritual & I’m out.

Don’t waste your money
Honestly I was so excited to get approved for Raya. While the members are more attractive than other dating apps, most it shows are celebrities you’ll never have a chance of matching with, and it gives you the same people over and over again despite me traveling frequently. When you finally do match with someone, they rarely ever message and if they do just say “hey” or other generic lines. Honestly hinge is much better and more personable, even if you have to filter through a lot of less attractive men. It’s definitely more of an app people are only on just to say they’re on it, no one is looking for connections or dates. I had one date in three months of having Raya, compared to other apps where people actually know how to have a conversation and want to meet. Very disappointing. Not worth the $25 a month and definitely not worth anymore

Worse than tinder
Is it a difficult concept that people use dating apps to connect to people near them? Every person on my feed is in a different city, state, or country. I have hinge, bumble, and tinder. And I’ve had more dates from any of those than Raya in the past six months. This app is a complete waste of time, money, and a scam honestly.

An app that approves minors who wrote they were 16 when they applied and still got approved. Disgusting

They literally want your instagram and for you to share ALL of your contacts with them. Absolutely ridiculous. Can’t believe Apple allows this garbage in the store.
Waitlist
I’ve been on the waitlist forever. I am photo verified, LinkedIn verified and have over 80k unique followers on instagram. I also received 2 referrals from two A list stars.. meanwhile my assistant got approved in 3 days. Interesting.. but she said I’m not missing much as the app has gone SEVERELY downhill since launch.

My thing is I’ve been on the waitlist for a year not only that me a bunch of the Black people so what are the qualifications, non-Black people?
Not worth the money, especially if you don’t live in a big city
Raya was all jacked up to be some super exclusive dating app that would connect you with celebrities but it’s quickly become a platform for literally ANYONE to use. It will show you people all over the world, it will say “you’ve matched!” with someone you’ve never seen before, and outside of the occasional celebrity (which in most cases ends up being a sports player rather than the A-list ones we’re picturing), it will force you to look at people from the closest big city to you, even if it’s 50 miles away. Not worth it at all.
No Support
I was accepted into Raya on Halloween this year. Approximately 2 weeks later, I decided to move forward with my membership and pay. For whatever reason, my age is listed as 19 years old when I’m nearly 10 years older. Instagram has my age listed correctly, but Raya has no way to remediate age, so I emailed support in the app immediately - NO RESPONSE! I have emailed support nearly 5 times in the past 2 weeks with zero fix. My app is updated and my friend who is using Raya had received immediate assistance from support, but not me. Now I haven’t been using the app meaning that my matches are expiring. Why pay $25 for a broken app?

terrible app
been on the waitlist for over a year, have 3 referrals who are members. no update on application status whatsoever - hate how this app thrives on exclusivity, it seems to only accept conventionally pretty people as well despite not being famous nor a “creative.” i do have a private instagram but i would fit myself into the creative scene as a songwriter who has an online presence elsewhere. my insta is just my private life so i find their application review quite unfair and would like more communication with it as well.

I was accepted pretty quickly but once I got in it was a waste. You’d be better off using another app or just meeting someone organically. Hardly any matches and not enough people to choose from.
