I used this for over a year, scanning receipts religiously. When I tried to cash out my points for the reward, they made up some excuse and locked my account and never paid.
Deleted all of my points.
If you look at reviews across the web, you can see serious ethical issues with the app. I recently had my account signed out, and when I tried to sign back in, all of my points were gone. There’s no way to reach out to a help team to recover anything. People have had a lot of similar experiences with points disappearing, sudden account deactivation, and not receiving their rewards. Extremely unhappy.
Accused
Receipt jar started out good until the company started accusing me of using someone else’s receipts, there are five members in my family it’s my money/credit card so it’s my receipt no one is stealing anything from this company this is not the first time they have accused me so I will not be recommending any of my friends or family to receipt jar I will not be spending my time helping this (companies marketing). “Beware” I “warned” you and this is all over a $5 amazon gift card and this is the second time this company has refused to give me my gift card. Bad marketing business.
Data stealing information
App is only to collect data and deactivate your account after data is received and gift cards declined. I will be contacting the authorities.
Email Receipts
Stay away from this app. I’ve been missing points, because certain email receipts arrive, and their app doesn’t acknowledge the points. For instance, Chick-Fil-A has been giving no points through email receipts. Until they can fix this issue, I would stay away.
They deactivated my account
They deactivated my account for no reason at all accusing me of receipts not being mine when they were mine they have problems with receipts from the same store over and over again but with different dates on them. They accusing me of violating their policies. My name is not Francisco don’t know how you got this info you respond to my review calling me Francisco and that’s incorrect. I have contacted support regarding my account and it has been a battle.
Suspended my account after trying to cash out
No response from support and looks like I’m not the only one they did this to

Terrible app
I’ve just had so many issues with this app. Getting stuck in a how to screen, being unable to take pictures, etc. the app was just built terribly. Just stick to fetch tbh
Camera
You need to update your camera to take pictures of the receipts. Very slow! It’s terrible, takes forever to upload the receipts. Please take care of this matter asap! Thank you!
Waste of time
Do a Google search for reviews on this app. I wouldn’t waste my time. There are better companies out there that do the same thing. It takes forever to accumulate points to redeem rewards. One of the biggest common themes across reviews is they suspend your account for abusing their Terms and Conditions. Personally, after using this app for a couple years I would suggest using a different company and not waste time on this one.
Deactivated my account for No reason
Had 2 pending gift cards . Never received , got a email that my account had been deactivated. No reason or explanation. Been using app for over a yr. I did nothing wrong.

This is the worst app. I eat out a lot. I go to the grocery store multiple times a day. The last 2 times I’ve tried to cash in my points to get a gift card they deny me. They use some
Excuse to not give me the gift cards. Then when this happens. They don’t give you your points back. So they win

120 points max for a week ??
After that 5 points regardless of the receipt amount. That needs to change. Plus auto-shake play barely gives you point. Otherwise if you are making $10 every two months 2 hours of your total time during those 2 months. Not enticing! Looking for deleting the app soon if they dont increase the redemption rates.
The worst app ever after using for many years.
The moment I requested my redemeption my account was suspended. I been using this app for over years since its first launch. I takes too long to redeem points and once I did my account was suspended. Never trust this app.
SCAM
DON’T waste your time. As soon as you FINALLY get enough for a reward ( I had enough saved for three $50 Amazon), after submitting for one I waited and waited…a week later I received an email DENYING my redemption and account suspended. Told I didn’t use the app “right.” What!? I scanned my receipts, how the heck does someone mess that up!? No messages “warning” or telling me I wasn’t doing it “right” or “hey in the future…” nope, ALL gone. Would never recommend. Horrible customer service, rude.
It takes too long
Every week I load and reload and load again just trying to grab my online Kroger receipts. I’m logged into Kroger, it scans to 49% and NEVER goes past that. It takes 15 minutes to get to 49% and then my phone locks and it starts again. The worst app
I have them all
I have and use all the receipt apps I scan the same exact receipts on every single app and this app gives me the least amount of points. This app is a little over 1000 points less than all the rest of the apps
Slow and buffering

Very irritated
I’ve been using this app for a couple years now. Loved it. Was able to cash out a few times without any issues. Now out of no where it’s no longer available in my country. I had just enough to cash out with a higher amount and now I can’t.

Too slow to receive the reward
Taking too long to get cash out reward. Time is money. Not worth waiting for slow approval and processing reward. Will delete this app.
Not worth it
I was enjoying this app. I only uploaded receipts from purchases. I made myself or from people in my household. When I tried to cash out, it said I was receipt diving. Also said my account is now suspended. Very disappointed in this app. Don’t waste your time. There are plenty other receipt apps to use.
Frustrated
So I have a family of eight and so I always have multiply receipts and they are always accusing me of using other peoples receipt

Only work the minute I downloaded it and set it up. I closed the app and opened a few hours later and “it’s not available in my country” . WTH
It's not what I expected.
☹️ You cannot redeem points; it asks you to link your email address, but it won't let you. It then asks for your cell phone number, and that doesn't work either-it is very strange. They ask you to send videos and photos of the process, yet there is no genuine response.

Beware…. Many people I know have been deactivated when they attempt to redeem. Don’t let your points add up. Redeem as soon as you can.

As I write this I had to close out of the app about 3-4 times to try and get a receipt to upload.

The camera won’t take pictures of my receipts after so many tries. There’s long delays of waiting for anything to upload. Going downhill.

Don’t waste your time
I wouldn’t download they suspended my account because for some unknown reason they said my receipts I turned in when they were my household receipts some maybe in my wife’s name or my sons name. I’ll stick with fetch,CoinOut,receipt hog or receipt pal been with them 4 maybe 5 years without a problem.
Loading takes forever
My only complaint with this app is that taking photos will take so long to load or the buttons will freeze and it just becomes frustrating and a waste of time. There’s better receipt apps.
Needs Improvement
This app only works half the time. Then it takes forever to accumulate points to even cash in.
Poor camera feature
The camera takes forever to image and upload. The app downloads code on every snap which should be on the server side instead. It should be a simple image capture and submit but this app does the opposite. Fix or you’ll lose users. We don’t have five minutes per receipt to wait.
