Can’t Share with Family
Even if you buy the pro version on your device, and you have your family set up in iOS, they still can’t share the purchase. You actually have to buy the app for every phone. So in my family, I would have to buy it four times. Absolutely ridiculous.
Bait and switch tactics
The application works pretty well, but when you purchase the application you’re told “available across all your devices”.
When you try to sync onto a Windows device from your iPhone, it wants you to pay an additional upgrade to pro fee for another $30. This was not crystal clear when purchasing the app. That seems shady AF. One star because of this alone. Developer responded. This is accurate.

Key Feature Doesn’t Work
I wanted to be able to use this across devices. I purchased pro version on my desktop. What is not readily apparent is that “across devices” does not mean across platforms. Funny how that works. So my PC and iPhone will not communicate with each other. Fine, I’ll purchase pro AGAIN on my iPhone so I can keep the recipes when I upgrade phones. Guess what doesn’t work? I cannot log into my account, it wants me to purchase pro yet again, and the “restore purchase” link does absolutely nothing when you click it. There is no point to having this app, use something free.
only 20 recipes.
you only get 20 recipes before you have to pay for it. beware the cheap ahh tactics, draw you in by wasting your time then make you feel like you HAVE to buy it. don’t fall for it
What happened?
I have been using this app for several years and recommended it to all my friends. I had lots of saved recipes. Last week I tried to find a favorite and there were only 15 recipes left in my app. I can’t believe the others were all wiped out. I was saving everything on here and they arrested gone.
Syncing is not available
I paid for the premium, excited to sync between my devices and each device does not even allow me to login without buying a new subscription. I’ve tried everything trying to get this to sync and nothing works. Now I see in these reviews that they state you can only sync across the same Apple account? If that’s even true? I have an Android phone and an Ipad. Promising syncing is available and then not actually allowing syncing is predatory and spammy practice. No help available within the app beyond a FAQ page.
Watch out for the upcharge.
You think you’re paying for being able to sync across devices but it turns out you have to buy separate software for separate devices. I would not have paid for premium if I had known that. Very poor business model.
SCAM watch out
They lie in their purchase description they state you can use pro across devices as long as you’re signed into your Apple account. NOT TRUE! What they DON’T tell you in a scummy scammy way is that if you purchase on a MacBook you can’t use on your iPhone or iPad. Then they LIE and say you have to pay for those operating systems in order to cover the cost of the servers. All lies, I work for a huge gov contractor and licensing doesn’t require additional server space to host a service on different devices. This is an outright scam of a product that I have reported and should be promptly removed and investigated for false advertising and business practices!
You have no way to cancel
They charge and can’t cancel
I paid for recipe keeper, but it won’t share between my phone and computer … and won’t let me share.
It’s not working as promised
Not easy to cancel
Not worth the money. And they do not make it easy to cancel. Still trying to figure it out. Called bank to stop payment
Not free
If you end up getting logged out you will have to pay 20 dollars to log back in or lose all your recipes. I initially got this app because it was one of the only free ones I could find.
Apps are supposed to be able to share with immediate family but this one is not… makes it a bummer

Annoying
Every time I try to add a recipe from the Internet, it says that it’s not found only I was able to save a recipe was by typing it in myself
Cannot share across multiple Apple accounts
Unable to share the purchase within my family sharing. Kind of defeats the purpose of this functionality.
Not free!!!
I was only able to save 12 recipes before I was required to pay for a subscription!
No sync
I have almost 500 recipes on my app but only 200 or so show up on my iPad?
Terrible app
Honestly it would be a fine app if you didn’t have to purchase multiple times to use it on different platforms, and no one can even sign in to use it elsewhere unless they pay as well. Don’t bother if you’re trying to use this for family sharing.
Do I have to purchase it twice?
I purchased this on my iPhone and want to also edit recipes on my windows laptop. Do I have to purchase it again? And would I have to tie it to my Microsoft account?
0 stars
Don’t know what is going on but I was paying for this app and all of a sudden all of my recipes are gone. Definitely not happy at all.
Not for couples without paying double
The Pros:
🙂Easy to use.
🙂Multiple methods of adding new recipes.
🙂Menu planner that creates a shopping list.
THE CONS:
😠The shopping list doesn’t export to grocery store apps.
😠😠😠SPOUSE CANNOT ACCESS THE MENU, RECIPES, SHOPPING LIST, ETC. We cannot sync between our two apple accounts. He downloaded the app on his phone, but the app would not let him sign into my account. He would have had to pay for the app as well.

Misleading
The app itself is great, however we bought it with the belief that family (2 people in same house) could share recipes. That’s not the case unless you drop $40! What family doesn’t share recipes or plan what they are eating together?
Beware 2 separate purchases
I fell in love with the app so I paid $30 for it on my windows laptop only to find out I would have to pay an additional $20 to share it to my iPhone! So $50 for an app is ridiculous!!!!!!
Good but could be better
Allows you to add recipes you can take some from the Internet or upload your own. You can also scan your recipe pages so that it makes it easier for you to put them in, but you’re only allowed to add 20 of your own recipes. You need an inner app purchase of 19.99 to add however many recipes you would like.
Great features but deceptive pricing
I tested out the app and love the features and went to upgrade and it said share recipes across all of your devices and specifically as an example, said iPhones, iPads, etc. It said a separate purchase would be required for different platforms with android as an example. I paid the $20 for the pro version uploaded a bunch of recipes and then try to download it on my wife’s phone and login but it’s requiring me to purchase the upgraded version for my wife as well which means in order for my wife and I and our teenage daughter to use the recipes. Each of us have to pay $20 for the app for a total of $60. If it’s saying share across all of your iPhones, nobody has multiple iPhones and uses the same Apple ID so I feel like that is deceptive. Now I’m into this $20 and I have to go find a different app or cough up another $40 just so our immediate family can use the app.
