Impossible to connect with customer care
I tried multiple times to connect to customer care but it won't let me connect to them.. I have multiple queries on bus and train which are not listed..I got frustrated and given 1 star rating..hate this app
Fraudulent App
If you have a problem they will still take your money but provide no customer support to resolve your issue.

I recently tried to book a bus ticket, and after completing the UPI payment, the system threw an error and the booking didn’t go through. This happened twice.
When I tried contacting customer support, I was asked to log in using an Indian mobile number. I’m booking from outside India, and the platform didn’t seem to register my timezone correctly. After several attempts to generate an OTP, all I received were automated bot responses-both via chat and phone support.
Despite the website claiming 24/7 customer service, there was no real assistance provided, and I had no clarity on what went wrong.

Has no customer support
The bus didn’t stop and I had to run to get another another bus and pay for it.
The red bus team has no customer support and no email or phone numbers that work (they just circle around to nothingness)

System cant handle time zones
I booked a ticket for my mother in India from the U.S., and even though I clearly selected October 8th as the travel date, it got booked for October 7th - which is tomorrow for me in the U.S., but not in India. I tried rescheduling and again chose the 8th, yet it still changed to the 7th. Clearly, the system isn’t handling time zones properly. Now I can’t even cancel or reschedule - such a waste of time and money. Really disappointing. No real customer care person to talk to.

Phone number not valid
I booked the ticket using my Brunei number and it kept displaying ‘Please enter a valid mobile number’. My mobile number is valid and our numbers are shorter compared to our neighbours. My ticket allows me to change the timing and I could only do so on the app. I am unable to login and its frustrating.

Paid for One Seat, Got Another - RedBus Did Nothing!
RedBus Completely Failed - Gave Me a Wrong Seat and Didn’t Care
I’m beyond frustrated with RedBus. I booked and paid for a specific seat, but they gave me a random corner seat that was cramped, uncomfortable, and outright miserable. Why even let people choose seats if you can’t honor it?
I reached out to customer support, and guess what? Absolutely no help. No solution, no seat change, no compensation - just useless responses and zero accountability.
This is pathetic service. I paid for something and didn’t get it, and RedBus did nothing about it. If this is how they treat customers, I’m seriously reconsidering ever booking through them again.

Disappointed with Frequent Bus Cancellations
I’ve been using Redbus for a while now, and the experience has gone downhill recently. Almost every time I book a bus through the app, it ends up getting cancelled at the last minute - sometimes just hours before departure. This is extremely frustrating and leaves me scrambling for alternatives, especially during urgent travel.
What’s worse is that there’s no reliable communication or support when this happens. The app just updates the status or sends a short message, and then you’re on your own. It’s very inconvenient, especially when you’ve planned your schedule around the booking.
Redbus seriously needs to improve the reliability of its bus partners and take responsibility for last-minute cancellations. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend it for dependable travel.

Use to be able to use the app but now I am outside of the US and none of my cards are accepted.

I tried to contact customer support several times but the call got disconnected. Also as per policy I can get partial refund 2 hours before the trip starts, but the app greyed out the option of cancellation 4 hours before. Disappointed

ui shows the cropped front seats as full seats in the bus. Misleading customer to buy those seats. One of the other passengers also shared that he too was misled in the same way.

I book a ticket but I want to cancel because they called me and said that my seat is no longer available. But my friend booked after me, she still got the seat? I asked that can I get a full refund because its not my fault, they said yes. But then I got 25k refund for a 150k ticket. I called them a lot and they promise to refund me but its been

Bus was 21/2 hours late at Chinchwad pickup on 22nd August, and the reason given by the driver was he fell asleep, a very dangerous answer for a driver who has to drive 14 hours journey, a very bad experience

Bad discounts
Discounts are difficult to use. Codes did not work when I tried them.
Worst Customer care ever
Very hard to reach customer care. Have to go through 10 different automated messages to get to customer care. Even after reaching customer care they are absolutely useless and doesn't help much. Much better to book directly on bus provider websites then going through this mess. Do not trust this app or red bus customer care. Stay away

This is a PSA, for people new users of the app -Avoid!
If I explicitly set the origin and destination for search, why does the app prioritize the showing boarding points which are not the origin? If I search Borivili to Pune, why does the app show Dadar or Thane Pune buses before Borivili?
The payment failed 4 times with Mastercard. No clarity on why it failed or what should a user do after the failure. After 4 attempts with no clear error message, I gave up on using the app. Then it gives me notification that “am I ready with payment?“ Oh the audacity!

I booked a bus from Hyderabad mehedipatnam to Bhadrachalam The bus was scheduled at 3:15AM for departure but the bus arrived almost 2 hrs late from scheduled time that is 5:00AM and on top of it the driver stopped 2 kms away from the actual location i had to take a auto again
I honestly don’t think it’s a good app
It’s an good operating system and easy to book buses, but when it comes to the actual buses it’s pretty awful. I’ve been left by two buses now and as a foreigner it is very stressful, specially when you’re relying on an app. They tell you a location and it’s really another one, or it’s a different than bus than it says (which according to immigration officer is illegal) very poor communication and perhaps it’s the buses themselves but when you have only the app to trust, it’s very disappointing. I think it might be better to over pay at one of those your agencies than risking maybe getting picked up maybe not. I had some easy buses, no problem but it’s the ones that never showed up that make me never want to use this system again. Very unfortunate and extremely irritable. Plus I only got one of the no-shows refunded. I know it’s India, but cmon. Maybe if you are risking it, only use the high rated bus drivers and try to call them at numbers they provide. This still won’t guarantee them showing up.

The boarding location on the app was wrong and missed the shuttle.
Recommended to communicate with providers directly via WhatsApp. Don’t trust Redbus’s info. I ended up far from real pickup point thanks to this.

Why do you not provide coupon codes list in the end while paying, every time we have to come back to home page & remember coupon codes & the seat gets sold in the meantime.

Good App BUT
You don’t explain why you increase the price even after I remove all insurance and guarantee so I’ll have to start looking around. I don’t like mystery charges!
Fake discount codes
No discount codes are working in this app. Once you enter any discount code, discount applies, and then it won’t allow you to make payment. Only after you cancel the promo code, it will allow you to make payments. I don’t understand why they display fake promo codes on their own homepage.
