Great App but bad management Team
As a licensed Acupuncture n Eastern Medicine Practitioner in Washington, I use this app to educate the public of Chinese Medicine. However this app stopped my communication right without search my credentials in Washington state department of health. I may seek legal remedies if the management teams are still ignorance.
Extremely racist.
Has become extremely racist. Would not recommend. They love to say the N word and lack basic humanity when it comes to different races of people.

Overall this is a Chinese app, so you will need to comply with Chinese laws. There are a lot of things and topics you can’t talk about or share in this platform, even though those topics are super normal and totally legal in the U.S. For example, I shared my own experiences about IVF, and they muted me. Crazy, right?

Absolutely no transparency
California residents, you can try to exercise your “right to know”per CCPA, good luck with that.
The platform has absolute no transparency. They can ban you for no real reason; their appeal process is almost fake, you see that your appeal is under review according to the UI, but it stays under review for weeks with no progress.
If you ever need to talk to an agent, it is extremely hard. First you need to wait for hours, sometimes 10+ hours, and if you didn’t respond to their message in a few minutes, your conversation is closed. If you happen to speak no Chinese, there’s another hours long wait after the initial wait so that they can transfer you to an English speaking agent. Once you finally speak with one of them, they provide no information what so ever.

Terrible Service
People is unable to see my posts, my response during live broadcast or private conversations. I received no warning, my account is tested with no errors using their internal tool. I waited 8 hours to get their agent just to tell me they are escalating internally and for 3 weeks, I couldn’t get anyone to fix my issue.
They give 0 damm about the user
My account was banned for no reason, as I submit my request to get it unbanned, I was expecting at least some response on if I could get my account unbanned, but no, I’ve waited for a entire month and no response at all. The app gives 0 damm about the user do not use it if you wish to get your account banned for no reason and be ignored

You must steer clear of this app; it’s rife with personal attacks and abuse, and brimming with prejudice and discrimination. The administrators won’t uphold justice; they’ll simply ban the accounts of those who complain. It’s rubbish.

I don’t know why. I don’t even post anything on my page, it suddenly banned me to display my page and follow others. Ridiculous
Insane cencership and zero customer support
App mistakenly cencored my comment and issued a baseless 3 month mute for my comments, notes and DM. Reached out to customer service only to realize it does not exist. Waited in line for 6 hrs with no reply, despite "zero person in the queue" according to the app. Clearly, the app cares nothing about its user. Have been a user for 4 years. guess no more.

So i got the app yesterday and i had a friend and we added each other and we talked about art nothing much we barely said anything over 40-words and the next day i opened it and i got banned?… and I read it and it said that they “think” my account got hacked all because i looked up art tutorials 😕

I had my account for over two years and had 150 friends. I never posted anything controversial and never received any violations or warnings. One day my videos were all hidden and I couldn’t interact with anyone. I contacted support several times without any response.

Privacy violations/random shadow ban/non-existent support
This App misuses mechanisms for other purposes to create device key to link you to the hardware. Even if you delete the app and key chain entry. It still remembers you without logging in. This indicates that the app tracks your physical hardware without consent.
They will issue random shadow ban to oversea accounts during politically sensitive period (e.g. early June) even when you basically do nothing. The app will say everything is normal but your contents are no longer displayed or visible to other users.
Their support is nonexistent. And they disguise their bots as human support. (If you ask them if they are human. They will not give a straight answer)

I’ve never left negative reviews, but my experience with Xiaohongshu’s customer support has been extremely disappointing.
My account, which I primarily use to share daily life videos, was suddenly suspended without any explanation. Since then, trying to reach customer support has been a frustrating experience. Even when the chat system shows “0 people waiting,” I often have to wait more than two hours to connect with an agent. In some cases, an agent joined the chat and closed the conversation after only a few minutes because I didn’t respond immediately.
When I finally managed to speak with support, I was initially told that I would receive an update within 1-3 business days. It has now been more than three weeks with no update at all. Every time I follow up, I receive the same generic response: “The issue is being handled, please be patient.”
As a content creator, having your account unexpectedly suspended and then being left in limbo for weeks is a disaster. This is unacceptable for a platform that depends on creators. As a content creator, we spend significant time and effort making content, but when something goes wrong, there is no transparency, no real support, and no clear timeline. This platform is extremely risky and hard to trust.

Extremely unfair and corrupt platform! An art thief stole my original designs from my insta account. Instead of protecting my rights, the app support team ignored all my reports, allowed the thief to block me, and actually BANNED TWO OF MY ACCOUNTS based on false reports from the thief! This app penalizes the victims and protects criminals. Absolute trash support!

Horrible customer support! If you buy anything from there and the logistics go south good luck getting anything resolved. No refund, no communications from them. In the end they just closed my case without any resolution! They still have my money and the product I bought was lost in shipment!

No free speech here
They would tell you your posts has been reviewed and good for publishing. However, you are the only one seeing it, others can not see your post. The customer service does not help you on this issue. They purposely ban posts talking about women and queer rights. Even if the languages are appropriate and the discussion are proper.
