I miss this app!
This app used to be AMAZING but they keep sabotaging every possible feature so that they can lock it behind a paywall. It’s so slimy and underhanded. I understand limiting some functions like number of photos to encourage users to switch to the premium version but trimming your route and changing the title should still be baseline features. If the app worked better, I would happily purchase premium but the way things are going… it’s only a matter of time before they remove features from premium as well to force your hand into getting a new “super plus premium” membership that’s twice the price.
Updates removed features
I have used the paid version for several years but will be unsubscribing. Features in previous versions that I found useful have disappeared in the latest version. It used to be easy to view and trim a downloaded video inside Relive, but that feature is gone. It used to be easy to trim an entire Relive. That feature was especially useful if I forgot to end the Relive recording at the end of a ride or hike and unintentionally recorded a piece of the car ride back home from the trail head. But that feature is gone now too.
Do NOT trust with memories
The company simply deleted my content from once in a lifetime trips! Photos and memories from places I will never visit again.
I received one, confusing email to which I replied immediately. I got NO response. I tried contacting them a 2nd, then 3rd time. Then POOF. EVERYthing was gone!!!!
What’s really infuriating was that THEN they decided to respond to my emails telling me it was too late.
This is not a professional app, it’s a kid in his mom’s basement. Do not trust it with any valued content.

WORST APP! Don’t waste $
This is the worst app. In theory, it’s cool, but it disconnects every 2 seconds. While AllTrails and Strava remain connected and you have full or enough bars, relive continuously disconnects and doesn’t make a sound to even tell you that’s it’s disconnected so you have to watch it like a hawk, put your safety in jeopardy, and hope that it tracks your route and miles. I have contacted their customer service and they try to blame it on the user immediately and their connectivity. Like I said, how can other tracker apps stay connected the whole time but anytime relive is being used even simultaneously it disconnects at least half a dozen times, if not more. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE PRO VERSION. I did that once and it was a waste of money. Terrible app, terrible customer service.
Just finished my workout and Strava & AllTrails stayed fully connected for my entire 5.35 mile route. Relive disconnected 7 times and only tracked 4.8 miles. Make it make sense. You can’t because you app is WORTHLESS AND TERRIBLE. Shame on you! Scammers!

Terrible support
This apple will drain your battery. It is subpar to other tracking apps, such as Strava. Also did a cheap upgrade and they use auto renewals behind your back to keep your subscription going while doubling the price and tell you they’re under no obligation to inform you about renewals in their terms and conditions. Their help app is run by AI and it’s very difficult to reach out to a person not holding my breath for a refund. Steer clear.
A buggy mess
I’m not sure when but this app was recently updated and apparently quality assurance is not something being done anymore. Anyone that spends any amount of time trying to create a video with this current update will have a plentiful list of issues and bugs.
I could easily list 10 to 15 critical defects that should have been caught prior to release, but then I’d be doing their job for them. Besides, they absolutely know they’re there and chose to release it like this anyway (these are not subtle, minor issues, but crashes, duplication of data, misidentified pictures, etc.)
It honestly makes you wonder what went wrong with the company that they would allow a release like this to be made available to their users. We’re essentially using a beta development build here.

Requires too much invasive information to work
I have used this app for years. When it started charging for the ability to keep adding photos to activities I said sure. Now that it requires access to my entire photo library in order to take photos while in the middle of the activity I am done. I’m going to quit my subscription and use one of the other apps available out there. Since I’ve signed up for a year, hopefully Apple can pro rate me a refund as this app is now unusable in my opinion unless I grant them access to my 15k photos. I’ll have to file a complaint with Apple and deal with that nonsense now. What a joke.
Invasive data collection/watermark
Reduce the amount of data collected by this app or anonymize the data before collecting. There is no reason to have so many collected data points personally linked to your paying customers.

Add more user control over angle/perspective of the camera. Most of the time the default is sufficient, but recently it has chosen some very odd camera positions when visualizing hikes up a mountain.

Predatory subscription practices!
The app is alright for what it does but beware of the conniving subscription practices. I got blindsided with a $40 annual renewal when I was previously signed up for a monthly reoccurring. Inquired about a refund and they told me to pound sand. I won’t be using this app any longer.

Just started using this, but it’s just the app. I’ve been thinking I’ve been wanting and there it is so far so good.
Not working
Paying customer on an iPhone 15 pro max. The app isn’t generating videos the last three times I’ve tried. “Wooos, are you connected to the internet?” Yes!

I used to use this app, but no longer
I used to start this app on every hike, bicycle ride, and motorcycle ride I did. I paid for the app for one year but I feel $38.99 is excessive. Now that they have removed just about everything from the free version, I don’t even bother to start it anymore.. And if I don’t start it, I will never consider purchasing it again .
Beware of auto charge
Well I liked it until they didn’t sent any reminder for payment neither notifications that payment will be charged. When asked about refund as I caught the auto pay writhing 30 mins of getting charged ….service guy went back old school. It’s in policy. Lost a fan for life. Shows the mindset of founders.

Time to delete Relive. It was fun while it lasted, but they’ve taken away almost all of the features from the free version. I get it if they have to charge for everything now, but good luck with that. You’ll have to do it without me.
Updating=making you pay
What once was free and worked pretty well now is behind paywall. Thanks for the silent videos without photos, now deleting them with my registration.
Bring back the pictures
I used to love this app because we were able to upload pictures of our hikes along the routes. Can’t do that anymore. A great app just became useless.
Disapointed with new updates
I’ve been using this app for 6 years but after this new updates when the posibillity of few pics was moved to premium section i’ll stop. It has no point for me to use it again. I loved it and I’d happily see a bit of hkiking/sports advertisment in the app if money was the issue.
Marginal and expensive
OK, yes it’s pricey, but I was willing to pay for it. If it actually worked, it’s way too easy to have it stop recording, and if you’re hiking for a long distance it will absolutely chew up your battery life, and on occasion the app will stop recording, even though it’s still open and running, and your trail will end abruptly

I’ve been using this app for a long time, and it’s disappointing to see that now everything suddenly requires payment. It’s frustrating to watch so many things shift toward profit over user experience. Thanks for making it easy to decide to delete yet another app from my phone.
They have downgraded the free version
The free version used to be great, you could have 10 pics added to your ride, even the live pics from iPhone. Then they started putting the pictures in the wrong locations on purpose to get you to buy the subscription, now they don’t even let you add pics unless you have a premium subscription. I am currently looking for a new app…bummer
Free version no longer useful
Was a long time user and would occasionally pay for a month if we were doing a big trip. Now the free version isn’t even worth using because you can’t even name the activity. Why not pay-wall the video/pictures, but allow users to at least enter a title for the activity? It’s no longer worth tracking our weekly hikes with this app. Time to find another. Madness.

Update: It was good to read Relive’s comment on my review and invite me to reach out again to support. But I had already done so five days ago. Still nothing since their original response several months ago.

Relive support said they had no record of our account. I shared purchase receipt records that included the username they said didn’t exist. I followed their instructions to reestablish access with no luck. My follow up emails to support were ignored. The $38.99 annual subscription seems irrecoverable. I’m out of energy to keep pushing for a resolution.

No more 10 free photos
The app used to allow you to upload 10 photos that were static for free. I used to use it every day and now because it won’t it’s useless. I’m really tired of these tech companies, they basically steal our data for free offer us a little cookie and then they want us to pay $30 a month per each app? It’s ridiculous. I’m not paying for the 3-D service, it’s a Vanity thing at that point and not offering a free option anymore. I’m not gonna use the app anymore and other people won’t either. People use things that will give them value for free first before they’ll pay so since you basically taken that away I’ll use something else.

They give no notice your subscription will renew and refuse to offer any refund. Bad customer service. Just use Strava

The app no longer opens. I have iPhone 16 pro. I Cant access the app anymore. All my trips are now gone. What a shame. I just updated the app too, still doesn't open.

I have wasted a lot of time because this app crashes and I lose my edits. I rarely get through a whole video.

Never would open! Which im glad after finding out it cost! I have enough apps and subscriptions dont need another that does what ones that do basic tracking for free! Guess thats Biden/Harris America for ya
Requires access to ALL photos
For unexplained reasons, this app has to have access to all photos and all metadata. You can’t use the iPhone limited photo access to select the photos from your hike or whatever. This unabated access is a huge privacy encroachment for what? A gps track? Strongly recommend against this app until it works with photo sandboxing.
Definitely has gotten worse
The app used to see all my media. On my last hike I took over 50 pictures. The app only sees 4! 4 out of 50 ! Unacceptable! Yes, I. Checked the to the that the app has access to my entire photo library. Will be deleting app.
Facebook ban
I purchased this app primarily to share my adventures with friends on Facebook. But posting a Relive video on Facebook causes their algorithm to automatically put you in Facebook jail.
If you’re the admin of a Facebook group, and you post a Relive video link in your group, you will be prohibited from full administrator privileges for your own group. You also cannot post this link to your private page or you will also receive a notice that further spam post will restrict access to your Facebook account The only way to post your Relive video to your Facebook page is to first save it to your phone’s photos and then upload it to Facebook as a video

I used Trim constantly and really tried to adapt, but it’s just not workable without it. At this point, most of my recent trips don’t reflect my actual rides. It used to be a great app, but this change has made it difficult to use, so I’ve canceled my subscription.

False sub info in app
The product is novel, and a bit cool. It works and I like the product during the trial. However, not enough to keep it as the subscription is $38.99. During the trial, the app says you will not be charged at the end of your trial. I was charged without notice. The website says cancellation will not entitle you to a refund. This is bullsh.
Frustrated long time premium member
I’m so frustrated with you guys. I keep paying for premium hoping that you’ll add more customization and features, and finally adding sound to the videos was great, but now I can’t control how long the videos I add are, and am limited to the length they can be? I have been using Relive and shouting you guys out on my YouTube channel, but I’m about to give up because of this last update. I was able to work around it before, by adding short clips of my videos to get the pin, then just custom adding my own videos to the map in third-party software to add sound, but now I can’t even do that. It has cost me so much time and money trying to figure out how to cut it all together that it’s not even worth using at this point.
Great app made weak
The recent change to remove the ability to “trim” a ride has made a fine app much less useful. We have all had those rides/hikes/runs where at the end we are feeling great, get in the car and forget to stop the app til we’re miles down the road. The easy trim feature fixed that but without it, it’s weak.
Pulled away from Apple Subscription
I have all my subscriptions with Apple. Now I get invoiced from Relive direct. I have never been on there homepage or member with them. Canceling from subscriptions not possible - you have to pay for another year. Bad business behavior.
Trim Route Default (Please Fix)
Was a great app but need the ability to edit and trim routes or I can’t share my rides or even use the app. Many times I leave the app going till I know I’m done riding. This leave me and others with no ability to get real data later on without a terminate trim edit ability. Without trim the app is useless seeing as it leaves some data without a way to recover needed data.

Relive has declined
I have used Relive for a number of years and always loved it. I would share it with friends and talk it up as much as I could. However, two things have happened that I don’t like and have caused me to stop using it. One is that in the past Relive did not demand access to your entire photo library. Now they do. I don’t want to give Relive access to the 23,000 photos on my device. The other item is the privacy setting is illogically difficult and doesn’t work the way the Help section says that it does. It’s too bad because this used to be a great app.
Greed
Used to have capability to add a free song selection to the free video creation. Nope. They've taken that away in attempt to get people to buy the upgrade version. Not going to work for me. Like lots of companies, only really interested in making more money. It will likely backfire.
New to this
It’s nice that it shows your journey and you can select which pics you want included. However, I think it is really important to be able to include the audio from the video clips that are posted. I’m in the 7 day trial period. Can you make this fix soon? Seems important!

Not working like it used to
I’ve subscribed to this app for a few years now. Lately it just isn’t working as well. My last ride, I chose “record” and made sure to press “start” as well. (I think recording the route should be a single button press.) We rode for two hours and took multiple photos. When creating my video, imagine my disappointment when I got a 22 second video of nothing.
