This is a real son and real review. The scale is accurate and easy to read. The app is one of the worst I’ve ever used. I have to close and open several times to be able to change screens. Most often, 8 out of 10 times, it doesn’t actively measure but once it’s finally working, I can pull the measurements from the unallocated list into my profile.

Very disappointed
I've been using and enjoying the Renpho Health app and product for a long time. I just purchased a new body composition scale and was very disappointed to find out that my trend data from the previous scale can't be combined with data from the new scale. I'm basically starting over with new trend data and a new baseline. This was not very well thought out by Renpho and their marketing people.
Inaccurate!!
Thank goodness I didn’t delete the old app! It’s not perfect, but it’s much more accurate than this new one! One example-I’m 5’6 and 241.6. Old app says my BMI is 39.3, new app says BMI is 32.9. BMI calculator says 39.0. On the flip side, old app said my body fat is 52.9, new app says 42.3. Old app is probably correct since BMI was correct (at least it was very close). Don’t get rid of the old app!
Horrible update
I’ve been using Renpho scales for more than five years, with the newest update today, I can’t get my old data back. I hate Renpho.

The update messed up all my progress data. I erased my beginning weight and weight loss.
Bluetooth disasterclass
I’ve spent weeks trying to narrow down what has happened to my Bluetooth. I’ve almost bought new AirPods and even a new phone. Eventually I landed on this app and tried revoking the Bluetooth access when not on a scale, an extra few steps but worth it if it would fix the problem. It didn’t. So I deleted the app and tried again on my daily walk to listen to my podcasts and finally I was able to listen interruption free. Devs need to look at this - it’s constantly trying to connect to every single Bluetooth item everywhere you go. That’s overloading the Bluetooth and causes constant connectivity drops when listening to podcasts, music, videos, etc.
Caution
This app will mess your Bluetooth connectivity. Other than that it’s fine. Seems like another surveillance app out there. Turn off Bluetooth and network settings after stepping on the scale.
Broken algorithm and absurd fluctuations! Completely unreliable.
I bought the MorphoScan Nova expecting accuracy, but the sensors and the algorithm are completely unstable. I have a recent DEXA scan that measured 27% body fat, but this scale fluctuates in ways that are biologically impossible in just a matter of days.
The absolute worst happened today: I weighed myself right before and right after taking a shower (just 6 minutes apart under the exact same conditions). The result was an unbelievable 5 kg difference in total weight, completely messing up my fat and muscle readings. A few days ago, the app also registered that I gained 8.7 kg of fat and lost 8.6 kg of muscle overnight.
If you are looking for serious health tracking, the charts generated by this app are useless and only serve to confuse you. Do not waste your time and money.

Feet massager no longer works
This used to be a 5 star app until a recent upgrade broke compatibility with the feet massager. Please restore compatibility as soon as possible.
Beware
This app will try to connect to Echo devices and other Bluetooth devices in the background if you leave its Bluetooth permissions active. Why it tries to subtly do this? That's not for us to know, but it may interrupt your Bluetooth connection while it's scraping data, so remember that when your headphones keep disconnecting and then reconnecting a few seconds later randomly throughout the day.

Loss of data
App won’t transfer data history to Health app. Because it won’t transfer data history to the health app I don’t have the data history to transfer to my Shotsy app. When I try to Google the solution it tells me to go to the “third party access” in settings, but there is no “third party access” option available. Google says it’s not available because my RENPHO app isn’t up to date but when I confirmed that I saw that my RENPHO app is up to date.

You updated the app but deleted all my data. Cool.
Why is a login required?
I just want to use my scale to weigh myself and put the data in HealthKit. I do not want a social network around my body measurements. I do not want marketing nonsense about the other devices I could be buying. The latest app update has now made the login required, and that makes this device much less useful to me.
Keeps logging me out
Both the iOS and Android app keep logging me out when I close them. Every single time. Will not keep me logged in.
I LOVE RENPHO PRODUCTS- BUT HATE THE NEW APP
I love Renpho products as I’ve been a user since day 1 before anyone heard of a Renpho scale - it became apart of my wight loss journey. I took a year off from using Renpho and I come back to an app that is awful. It’s too over complicated, it doesn’t have the simplicity that the old app has that made everything awesome. You see trends instead of actual weight loss , I don’t want to see a trend - I’m not an analyst crunching numbers, I a consumer- I want to see exact numbers from start to finish- if I started at 200 lbs - I want to see that like the old app would and tell me I’ve lost 10lbs with my new weight not a trend - now I’ve gotta search through several tabs just to find out my total weight loss and it still isn’t accurate because it’s calculating dips and spikes , instead of total . WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE APP ? Please go back to it .

I wanted to love it
It never recorded my workouts even when I had it connected to all my workouts, fitness activity and health app. I tried numerous times to connect, synchronize and pair. The worst part is when I deleted the app, I wanted to delete my information however the app deleted ALL of my fitness activity. Several years of it. All of my cardio fitness gone, my trending of activity, steps, etc gone!!!!!!!!
I reinstalled the app to see if I could get anything back….the app still had my personal info and measurements but my fitness activity is still gone. Super irritated!

GARBAGE
Font’s too small to read, and when I got the updated app, it lost YEARS of data, wanted to track my location (for a SCALE) and tried to make me join a community. GARBAGE.
Works 10% of the time
I really want to live this device but it only syncs about 10-20% of my weighings. Not to mention the ‘app support’ link goes to ads. This could be really good if they worked it the flaws

Fix the back swipe
I couldn’t even create an account because when I’m swiping to put in my weight or goal weight, it would back swipe to two screens before. Super super irritating. I gave up after I had to start over 5 times and deleted it from my phone. 👎
Dashboard does not match measurements
This app is awful. I just spent two hours researching why the dashboard had a random weight measurement to no avail. If this is going to be the required app, I will go with a different company.
All My Info Disappeared!!!
I opened my app the other day and all of my information, including all my stats from the past year has disappeared. I would like it back please!!! Please reach out to help. I have tried reaching support with no success. Thank you!
Why sign me out?
I’ll never understand why developers push out updates that sign you out of your account. What’s worse is Keychain didn’t save my password so now I’m having to try to do a password reset and after two push requests to get a code to perform the reset I’m getting nothing. Was working fine up until this morning. Why do people do this? Test your stuff thoroughly before pushing it out and breaking things on end users end!
Forced adds in the main section of the app
This is annoying. Forced adds in the main section of the app. Instead of your relevant information they’re trying to sell you more products using the very center of the app to force adds.
Apple Active Energy not syncing
I cannot get the active energy metric from apple health to sync with the renpho health app. Super frustrating. I tried troubleshooting many different ways but no luck. Without the feature, I cannot use the app. Will update review if this ever gets fixed.

Bluetooth busted on scale
Honestly considering returning the MorohoScan Nova Smart Scale because the device and app keep losing their Bluetooth connection. It’s frustrating to go through the longer weighing process only to see that the Bluetooth signal is greyed out meaning that the measurements weren’t recorded. This has been happening more and more often.
Renpho has built out an app with pointless digital badges for consistently weighing yourself and offers social networking options in the app. I cannot describe how much I do not want any of that. Just work on building a stable device that links to Apple Health that I don’t have to constantly work on setting up, resetting, and troubleshooting.

Overly complicated
All I want to do is record my weight and track it over the weeks. This app is designed to track *everything* fitness-related, like when I open it it's asking my about my daily calories and workouts. I tried to use it and just click to the section that only showed my weight and progress, but it takes a ton of clicks to get there and is so cumbersome. It also keeps telling me my BMI, which is a screening tool for doctors, not something I need flashed in my face every time I step on the scale. I deleted this app and will manually record my weight on a better app.
Bluetooth is glitchy/ messing up other apps
The Bluetooth connection is weird and makes other Bluetooth connections skip and glitch. All work fine when I delete the RENPHO app or turn off its Bluetooth. Please fix

Hate the update
I’m in a rush getting ready and got so frustrated that I’m pausing what I’m doing just so I can leave this review. It is so much more difficult for to easily see and compare previous data to current data with the new update. It’s ridiculous.
Won’t display all data
I have issues getting the app to display all data. Most of the time the app only displays weight and body fat. I have to weigh multiple times to get the others and even then it does not show it. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. Currently using an iPhone 17
How to make the most clicks to do anything
With the new app I think that RENPHO is following apples design principle of adding more clicks to perform simple tasks and hiding every single function in its own menu that you have to go through several other layers to get to. Unintuitive and annoying app.
Does not connect to Fitbit
The scale itself is great for what it does and the price point. I really wanted to connect to my Fitbit, but whenever I try to sync it, I get stuck in a loop. I tried many ways to get them synced, but from what I read it’s a common issue.
Removed original features to behind a paywall?
This app use to show you all the metrics on the dashoboard as one complete profile. I stopped using it for 6 months. I started using it again and now this feature is reduced to individual graphs and to see the metrics you have to buy a $200 scale? For a feature that was already accessible to the scale I had been using?
Causes iPhone Bluetooth audio to cut out
The app automatically connects to Amazon echo devices as you come in range. If you are on a walk or a run around a neighborhood it’s maddening when the tunes cut out. Took me a year to figure it out. I disable Bluetooth for the app when not using the scale.
So slow
It was good for 2 years, then the updated version always freezes within 3 seconds after starting. Please fix wherever bug this is. I don’t wanna buy a new scale for this
Can’t Log On
I liked this app, but i have more issues with it. Now I can’t log on to my account. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled and changed password. It won’t let me change password or log on. What is wrong with this app?!! Please fix it.
