They have you set up your entire profile before telling you that you need to pay before you're allowed to do absolutely anything. Terrible app.

This app charged me a for a subscription that I was not subscribed to I had cancelled all my subscription’s and it charged me again. I have had to dispute this charge with the bank but who knows if I’m going to get my money back. It cost me $16.00 Do not get this app

Scam 7 day free trial
I wanted to try this app. I was offered a 7 day free trial. I downloaded the app attempted to open the app and received a notification from my bank that I was charged $72.98. I contacted Retake via email and asked for a refund and was directed to Apple. Apple has denied my refund. I cancelled the subscription through Apple and it states will be cancelled a year from now. It is very frustrating to be offered a 7 day free trial and immediately charged for a year of app use without any way to cancel the subscription or without any use of the app.
The worst scam
Complete scam APP. Downloaded this APP in September of 2025 and didn’t like it so I unsubscribed immediately just like I do to every APP I try and don’t care for. Then in April of 2026 I noticed I’m getting charged $9.99 a week for the Retake APP. I checked my subscriptions and sure enough it’s still there. I tried several times to unsubscribe but it wouldn’t let me. It just kept saying, “your request is unable to be processed.” After like a half hour of trying over and over to unsubscribe it let me do it. That’s never happened on any other APP and obviously what happened when I tried to unsubscribe originally. I just hadn’t noticed their scam. I looked it up and they had been charging me $9.99 a week since the beginning of 2026. I have written to the Retake APP without a response and to Apple which they gave me a 1 week refund after illegally charging me for 14 weeks. I spend a lot of money on these Apple APP’s and Products. Not anymore!

Billing Issues and Disappointing Features
I cancelled my subscription in advance, and the app clearly showed that my subscription would expire on the 11th. Despite that, I was still charged again on the 14th for a renewal I did not authorize. When I contacted Apple about the charge, they told me the purchase was not eligible for reimbursement, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Im currently in the process of fighting it.
Beyond the billing issue, the app itself was not as advertised. The photo suggestions and AI-generated recommendations were underwhelming and didn’t provide the quality or usefulness that the marketing suggests. I expected much better results given how the app promotes its capabilities.
Between the unexpected charge and the disappointing features, this has been a very poor user experience. I would caution others to be careful with the subscription and not expect the results the app claims to deliver.

I did the trial cancelled it the day of and it still charged me !! Then I go to the app and it says I have to pay to be able to access the app ?! That’s called stealing !
Huge regret
I highly regret downloading this app. They said they would alert me before the free trial was up and instead they charged me and refuse to refund me. I was very unhappy with the ai feature because it didn’t look natural or like me in the slightest. Save your money. I DO NOT recommend this app to anyone.

Very complicated to retouch even 1 photo. The App wants peor pics of face forward & side view in order to work as their demo shows. But even then it just sends you in the same circle of instructions.
TOOK MY MONEY FOR A “FREE TRIAL”
I got the free trial for this app and almost immediately canceled so it would not auto renew and charge me for a subscription. However, over a week later, I get charged $16 for a subscription I did not pay for and did not receive. Will be reporting for FRAUD & SCAM!!!

I have paid for 2 photo shoots and they both came out of a woman at least 15 years older and blonde!! I have dark brown hair!! I AM NOT HAPPY AND I REQUESTED A REFUND!!
