I noticed another person with the same exact issue. Free trial should be transparent and not result in unexpected annual charge. This is misleading.

Constantly Crashes
Loved this initially, but after a while it crashes every time I try to fix a photo. It has started to become unusable. Not sure why it changed.

I tried this app for 1 day, was not satisfied with results and cancelled immediately. I was charged for a one year subscription anyway. Refund was denied and stated not eligible for refund. DO NOT try this app.

I want to do a three day trial and it skipped that and automatically charging me for a year. I went to dispute it but they dismissed my claim. I even deleted and tried to stop purchase right after with no luck smh
Very disappointed!
To save $$, I opted for the sign-up without the trial period after reading the reviews. Tried several photos and any blurriness was minimally corrected.
My husband tried taking a photo of one picture with his Android phone and VOILA! Blurriness was corrected perfectly!
I also tried fixing, enhancing and colorizing with several photos and was less than impressed with the results.

Stuck on the ad
Of course it lets me see the advertisement but once my reward is granted suddenly that button doesn’t work. The developers are scammers and thieves

This app says it’s a free trial and when you choose that option,It then charges your account. So I’ve been charged twice for this when all I wanted was to try it to see if I liked the app. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this when they advertise one thing and unknowingly charge a person’s account! There are many other apps that allow a free trial without charging your account. At the least, they should disclose that the charge will be immediate!

Doesn’t Work As Described - Over charged!
I downloaded this app on my way to a family memorial service (to print at a local quick photo print). The photos I wanted to restore did not turn out any better than the original. I cancelled the app same day, but was still charged for a full year subscription! I requested a refund, twice and called Apple Support when the online requests were denied, but no reason given other than “not eligible.” Lesson learned - no matter what your reason for downloading the app - make time to read ALL FINE PRINT! Very disappointed with Apple!

I tried to fix a photo on here and your IDIOTIC ai turned my photo into people I don't even recognize!! It completely changed the facial features, making my friends look like people I've never met!! Don't waste your time on this!! It'll only eff your cherished memories up!!

I want my money back
I literally just purchased this and I want my money back. Why is it so easy to charge and not easy to refund. No where on the app offers a refund or to discontinue services. The issue with your app is that it keeps saying my internet is off or down when nothing is wrong with it. I have 5 bars all of the time.

Distorts original photos
Very poor repair of the photos . Added face hair to a female photo and colored eyes of the same person with two different colors . I made a mistake buying it and paying for it.
Force quits a lot
There are no customizable options and when I use enhance or rebuild it just quits. For $50 it is not acceptable

Crashes more often than a DC-10
I was considering purchasing this app, but this app crashes more than a first generation DC-10. If you try to use any of the features it crashes. And it appears that it's been more than a month since the developers have done any tweaking. The thing about these apps, (as a developer) is you have to be watching them 24/7. And I am not going to pay my hard earned money for an app that crashes as often as this one.

Dear RetroFix by glitch or design your application’s clock is staying at: 1:33.18 every time I try to open it, unless going PRO. This is going all day long. How can I possibly make a wise decision without trying it!!! 😉

Each option choose in attempt to fix said error. Nothing wrong with internet connection. I tried both old photos and newer photos. Same result. Recent download so have the newest updated version. Was excited to get started working on many photos.

Scratch repair did not work. Recreate was frightening awful. Don’t waste your money. Can I give it ZERO stars?

It fixes the color of some pictures while it ruins others. The animation torques the images to where they are not the same person.
Closes repeatedly
For several weeks I haven’t had a successful fix using all options without the app closing before it finishes. I have tried all things to resolve this. I’ve closed all other apps, shut down and restarted numerous times to no avail.
Fraudulent App steals money
Regardless of the services this app provides I would recommend all stay away from them. I signed up for a free trial and then immediately cancelled the subscription on the same day so I wouldn’t be charged. 4 days later I was charged $10.72 for a subscription service I immediately cancelled. I emailed their customer support twice and never received a reply. I filed for a refund with Apple and they refused it. Beware to all.

The app works well enough.The problem is if you want to cancel. There is no easy way to do that. I tried to cancel after a month. Instead, it signed me up for (and charged me) for an additional year that I do not want. I contacted Apple who did nothing. Don’t get locked into a subscription that you can’t escape.

Disappointingly inaccurate
If the app even made any changes to the original photo, they were disgustingly in accurate. I had the same issues with this app as I did with a different app, such as removing facial hair and glasses from a person’s face and turning a girl in swirly dress into a boy and a polo shirt. Also, if something was supposed to be red, it was changed to blue, and if something was supposed to be blue, it was changed to red.

Attempted to restore an image of an old photo. Results were poor and not near the fix the app’s add advertised
Before the latest update this was a decent app.
I have been working with this app for quite some time, and I was really satisfied with the result. This changed with the fall 2025 update. The “recreate” option was taken out of the app, because AI recreation of a severely damaged image is now supposedly achieved by using the “colorize” button. The results this app produces now are simply horrible, and subscribing to this downgraded version of a formerly really good photo restoration app is really not worth it anymore. Due to the significantly worse restoration results I am seeing since the update, I will cancel my subscription for this now qualitative substandard app.
This is really disappointing, but luckily there are competitors out there that now by far outperform this merely mediocre app. While I recommended this app before, I now recommend to possible future subscribers to find a better quality app and not waste their money on this one.
