Subscription Negotiation - SCAM
Rocket money charged me $134 saying that they negotiated to reduce my bill, in reality I just got $25 credit. I reached out to Xfinity they said that it’s a one time credit. When I tried to reach the customer representative there is no way to reach them, only chatbot. Been trying reach them via email and chat, nothing yet. Loss of $134 is the only thing I got for installing this app.
Rocket Money withdrawals
I’ve been using Rocket Money for a month now. And I wanted to add a goal on saving money for my wedding dress. And when I look at all the withdrawals that Rocket Money has done, I do not see my bank withdrawals and Rocket Money withdraws aligned. And that is a huge red flag for me. There’s nobody that I can speak to on this website. It takes hours for anybody to respond. That is if anybody responds AI that is answering all my questions and not a life person on here.

No Connection to Bank
I’ve tried for over a month to connect to my bank and I just get an error message, ive used the chat to help on the app and not getting anywhere.
USERS BEWARE
Id give this 0 stars if I could. This app advertises to manage and increase visibility on ongoing subscriptions. Upon sign up it asked me how much I thought is worth paying for this to determine a fee and I remember putting $0. Because this business model enables this company to collect your banking info, they have been charging me a monthly $6 fee WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING. How can this possibly be legal?!! I recommend to stay away from their services, something very sketchy about this company. If they took liberty to enroll me in a premium subscription I never signed up for, think about what they do with your personal data.

Overcharging
Complete scam rocket money charged me $105 claiming they negotiated spectrum internet bill down. The truth? I personally called spectrum asked for lower rates and got it my self. Do not trust this app with all payment information they will charge you without doing anything.
STOLE MONEY
I linked my card info and I couldn’t even see any of my subscriptions. And out of no where I get charges on my card. They signed me up for a monthly premium thing without permission. I kept getting charged 12 dollars every month even after taking my card info out and deleting the app. I finally got the subscription cancelled. NEVER GET THIS APP

i have never used this app, nor do i intend to. the ad campaign on youtube is so incredibly infuriatingly annoying that any slight of curiosity i had regarding this app about budgeting are long gone. maybe teach the girls in your ad campaign how to speak properly? maybe have real people write your scripts instead of chat gbt? anything but whatever you have going on right now.
Why do I pay you to save me money on my bills
I don’t like the fact that I have to pay Rocket money to save me money in my bills when I pay an annual fee already
Your private info is not safe!!!
I gave access to another user at one point. Then I needed to remove that access. And did so. All instructions followed. That person kept getting the notifications that included amounts spent and paid, and other details. When I sent a message in the app to address this they sent the notification to the other persons phone. Not mine. So clearly they swapped the phone numbers in the app I guess? I am sure this is a bug but it is a HUGELY dangerous bug. Imagine all your financial activity being sent to someone you revoked access to?! Shame on Rocket Money. I have DELETED the account and they STILL sent the other persons phone a notice. Unreal.
Fake
The fake ads all over the place are too much. How can you trust someone that is so deceitful? It is a matter of time before they just start using AI to make their fake ads (if they have not already).

Would think an app made to save you money would be free. Downloaded it for the sole purpose of canceling subscriptions and the app can’t find any even though it needs to sign into your bank account.

Just like the title said. It charged me $12 a month for premium WHICH I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR. Second you choose how much you can pay and it charged me the higher amount ridiculous. I want a refund because I never agreed to this. WATCH YOUR STATEMENT.

Can't find anything
The ads say it helps you to cancel your subscription! This is only true if you subscribe to them! Which is so weird! I did it and found only 3 subs when I know I have over 15+ this app is garbage!
How to cancel
For some reason, Rocket Money is taking seven dollars out a month and I don’t know why but I need to cancel whatever is signed up. I don’t know how to do it. It’s isn’t showing it. They make canceling so hard on these apps.

Do not put money into the saving goal in this app because if you by chance change banks and close out the bank that was depositing money in here, you will not get that money back because the money has to go back to the same bank it was pulled from. So I have now lost thousand dollars. 👎 do not put money into this app!!! You’re better off just putting it in your own savings account
Bank not supported can’t use it
Because my credit union SCSCU isn’t supported apparently, I am unable to use the app, force you to go to predatory banks (chase, Wells Fargo etc etc) in order to use the app in general. Unfortunate, going to give dollar wise a shot
HORRIBLE
I have used Rocket Money for three years. This year I decided to try out their “Goal Savings” on the premium app. I had thousands in there and once I met my goal I closed my goal. It been over 10 days and I have not seen the money. Customer service is nonexistent, it’s AI and all on the app, not sure even the humans are human. There is no number to call, everything is through the app and when you start a chat it takes around 4-6 hours for them to reply but it states it can take up to a day for a reply. I have gotten the run around. Still do not have my savings and do not have any reason as to why. Per Rocket Money I should have had my savings within 1-2 business days. For $10 a month I have looked past other glitches like not realizing what is a subscription versus a monthly bill. I would urge everyone to look at a different resource. I had a trip planned and I’m unable to buy my ticket based on the best price because my savings isn’t here when they said it would be. I’ve messaged them daily and it takes 4-6 hours for a reply!

I guess they don’t recognize my bank as an actual bank so I can’t even use this app. What a shame and waste of time.
Stuck & no help
I was able to link two credit cards no problem, but when it came to linking a checking account, I kept getting errors. As a result, I can’t move on or see anything in the app. It is always on the “please link checking account page”. I reached out a few times to customer service and have never heard back from them. All you get is a bot and a promise that someone will get back to you within a few hours. It’s been a few days and no word. I get notifications on my phone about things that Rocket Money has found, but again I cannot get past the link checking account screen on the app.
I only login and create account. I never agreed to any sort of payment they randomly charge me $12

2. WHAT are you even doing with budget? I literally don’t know what this is. It’s REAL SIMPLE, let me pick a category, enter my budget for that category and THATS IT!
I DO NOT need some guided experience where I’m checking specific companies, why on earth would you even do this?
If these two things don’t change I can’t think of a reason to even use this app honestly.

No Customer Service
This is the worst app management I’ve ever experienced! Know this BEFORE downloading this app, it’s almost impossible to unsubscribe and getting hold of a live representative is so lengthy I can’t imagine anyone would waste their time trying! But, guaranteed you’ll be charged like clockwork even after you have cancelled your subscription and deleted the app! Buyer beware! This is a forever charge, in my experience, impossible to stop! I’m contacting Apple and the better business bureau! It’s been my experience these people are impossible to contact, refuse to refund (by default) and it’s a sub par service in the beginning! My recommendation is to steer clear and do not subscribe to this app no matter what! I rate it-5! The WORST in the App Store! I must add, to be fair and open, after almost 2 hours I was contacted by customer support and assured I would receive a refund. Just to be clear, it is infuriating that an app can casually raid your account after you have cancelled it, but make you stand on your head for a refund! I change my rating from-5 to +2. Still very poor but not outright criminal! Take my advice and do not subscribe to any app! Much too hard to stop!

I use Amex, synchrony and usaa and it frequently double counts things. It also won’t track my usaa credit card or link to my synchrony.
Semi useful.
They market to the extreme about being able to cancel subscriptions, but can’t and won’t cancel about 75-80 percent of them. Whole reason I got this to avoid 30 min phone calls…
