First of all, you have to pay for a subscription to even connect with people. I didn’t pay for one at first because finding a roommate wasn’t guaranteed. Then I received emails stating I had messages waiting for me. I decided to pay for full access for a week to see the messages, only to then go into the app and for it to say I have no messages. So I was tricked into paying.

I am still being charged for a service I’ve never received I am unable to remove this subscription and none will assist I keep getting the run around so they can keep charging me do not trust this site especially some these reviews that say nice things about . It’s almost impossible to set up a full profile. You work on it for 30 min then press save and it all disappears. That’s one. The other thing is they have bots to seemingly send you inquiries so you would pay for the app to read the messages - not even 1 real message!

This company/app is scammer/fake/fraudulent and should be shut down! I gave them a solid 4+ months and 99.999% of messages to my inbox have nothing to do with what I need. It's literally crazy and waste of time.
Examples:
I am a man, live in brickell, and have a property advertised for $2750
99.999% are messages with $500 budget, female only wanting to live with females, looking for a place an hour away ... not brickell...
Then, their website and app are super clunky so it takes a lot of time to filter out all of that garbage!
Then, they charge you in the meantime! I'm going to file a lawsuit for this fraud!

I paid for the message box subscription for a week because I got a message. But it was only scam. I didn’t lose any money because a tour is a must before any kind of money was exchanged, but I feel ripped off by Roomster’s greedy subscription fee. Not worth it!

This app is a skin. Somebody is taking peoples profiles and rewriting them taking the photograph and making fall profiles, using peoples IDs and photographs. The responses to my ad are 99% bots!

This app is a total scam. You download the app and then get prompted to pay in order to view your messages. When you don’t you get bombarded with a bunch of random messages and think it’s people interested in connecting with you and it’s really all automated B.S. would give 0 stars if I could

These people should be ashamed of making a fraudulent app. They had to change their policy to say they provide service such as messaging and that they don’t promise their listings are real.

I find it utterly bizarre that you have to sign up for a paid subscription just to read messages of people who want to room with you. How to take advantage of broke college students 101. Terrible business.
Not Recommended for Landlords
This app provides no real value. It charges money just to read messages, but the leads are not targeted. I also had a subscription when I was trying to rent out some rooms, and they kept charging me even when the app was not active. I contacted support, and they said they could not help.
If you want to rent out your property, it’s better to use standard platforms instead of this app. I paid for almost a year and got zero results. I don’t know how it works for tenants, but from a landlord’s perspective, I do not recommend using it.

None of the search features work , you’re more likely to meet a bug than someone still using this app and when you do they WILL BE SCAMMERS

The app is full of realtors. Basically what you would see on Zillow but without the features and you can’t message them without paying an expensive subscription. These arnt really people looking for roommates, just landlords and agents. Not work the money.

They ask you for your two forms of ID. Like I should trust all my information with this company while paying them. Also the app was overloading my phone. It got hot and as soon as I turned it off it cooled down. It also wasn’t even loading my listing it froze.

This app used to great but its gotten progressively worse messages won't load very buggy. Yesterday I had someones elses listing as my own which is crazy developers wont fix the issues sent many emails. I bought the lil $11 for 7 days and Carla was spamming and it seems like there all bots I said 700 a month for me and my son everyone saying I have 1150 I didn’t say that so why are these randoms in my dm so I can buy your little add?
Current lawsuits, no BBB accreditation, fake ratings, shady t&c, PLEASE do your research. STAY AWAY
First off, I was definitely fooled by the reviews for this app. Run a simple google search on this company, and the first suggested question is, "are they trustable?" And the summary immediately says "No." Now reading them after, they seem to have a few genuine good experiences but a loooottt of these reviews read fake. I just had a baby and am moving to a new city for work, temporarily, so I was trying to explore all my avenues. Please take some time to look at their incredibly low BBB ratings, and ALSO look at the huge amounts of lawsuits against them, and also the fact they are not accredited but still taking ID checks when we have close to no idea of their security of who they are.
I signed up for a 7 day membership where it was not at all clear they were going to renew for 30 days after, which is $29.99, but I will get back to that. When you go to search, they automatically create a "listing" for you so they can say you were "actively using" it but you have no way to opt out of that, or if there is it is a bit hidden.
You cannot read any messages until you get through the paywall, and the company will say "oh but you can see everything else", the answer is not really. And while some listings seemed real, some had non-real addresses, were texting phone numbers that showed as scams when I googled them, and it widely exaggerated the amount of messages I got as it was about the same 8 people (some with over a year old listings) that were sent as "messages" on repeat but I was not actually being directly contacted by the owners of those listings.
One hour after I was charged for the month, I contacted them and received a message that "they were very clear there would be a month charge", which I have never had a problem with in any reputable company with straightforward services. If you work in corporate you know this is a shady practice companies use when they are in debt because most will not bother to know their rights.
Please!!! If you have had this experience with this or any companies, pursue your refunds, file issues with the BBB, if you were not delivered on promised services or it is shady file a chargeback with all your evidence!! Terrible App. Wont use again!
The app crashes daily. When reported to customer service they said the app isn’t built well for iPhone and that I needed to delete and reinstall. That didn’t help. The majority of users are scam artists. Within hours my picture was fraudulently added to numerous different user accounts. I reported and immediately deleted my photo from my profile. I am worried about the company fraudulently auto charging my credit card as others have reported even though I have cancelled my subscription. Horrible app. Will not use again.

VERY MISLEADING
I’ve been on the app searching for a roommate for about a week. I’d didn’t have the paid plan and kept getting message notifications. So I paid to see the inbox and all the messages are just random broadcasts. No direct messages. Very misleading and waste of money honestly.
