Horrible
Worst GPS I’ve ever used. Helen Keller could direct you better. It took me in and through the inner city of Baltimore because you can’t go through the tunnel instead of taking me around on 695. Cost me an hour and a half, too many tight streets and turns to count and I have a 26’ right. So happy I can cancel my subscription.

There’s been a known issue that you see other reviews complaining about - this app when navigating messes with audio from other sources (music, podcasts). It basically makes it unusable. It’s clear no one that works on this app uses it. If you email support they’ll ignore what you write and send you pages of irrelevant troubleshooting steps.

Exit numbers are wrong in South Carolina and North Carolina
North Carolina interstate 77 kept directing to express toll lanes. You cannot drive an RV in the toll lanes.

I am not super happy. I have paid $65 and have yet been able to sign in and use this. It keeps trying to make me pay again. I need somebody to contact me. I have tried and tried and I am getting no help and I have never been able to use this. I need some help.
Inappropriate directions
We wanted RV Life to provide directions that do not take us on windy, narrow, steep roads. But it is continually taking us on those roads. The directions are no different than Google Maps.
Don’t trust its routes!
Would rate this less than 1 star if that were possible. Got this app specifically because it supposedly takes your rig size into consideration while choosing a recommended route for you. The first and only time I used it the route it chose was the worst one possible. It wasn’t even safe for rig our size. I would never trust it to route us again!

It is extremely difficult to use this app and hop back and forth with the RV wizard app.
Money money
As with most, free trial but you will be charger automatically. You can see where you are but that’s it unless you bite on putting your card in. Other wise no idea about how well the app actually works or its accuracy 9

They have lost there way
Navigation used to be accurate but lately, we’ve experienced a lot of issues. Currently app cant even navigate to our house - the directions are navigating round about through neighboring communities and then off roading - there is no road connecting from the other community to our community. I originally loved the planning feature but not sure I can trust the navigation. Don’t think I will be renewing the subscription.
Hard to use. Never works
I’ve had this app for a year. My subscription is coming due in a few days. I will not be renewing. It’s very hard to use. The trip planning part is a joke. I have a BIG trip planned in the fall and this planner is hard to use and will not save my trip other than a start location. I need a dump station now. I routes me to over 150 miles away when I know there are several closer. Not happy with this app at all.
Inaccurate and not very reliable - be careful if you use
Inaccurate park information and poor search capabilities. The search field indicates you can enter and search by a park name, location, city, etc. but specific cities/locations are not returned unless there is a specific place to stay located there. It takes additional steps to find locations in the vicinity of a city (Seattle - not exactly a small place) and many sites have been out of business for years or have specific requirements to stay that are NOT mentioned anywhere: i.e. to stay you must be a VFW or Elks Club or military member, etc.
We contacted their customer service who indicated that users are entirely responsible for adding places to stay or reporting them closed. RV life verifies NOTHING.
Upgrading to their paid RV Pro doesn’t give more accurate access.

Worse map planning app I have ever tried using!
Used to be pretty good but they broke it
GPS used to be pretty good. It would always find addresses and places of interest and while it may have given slightly too conservative routes, it usually got you to where you were trying to go. But after the last update, you can’t enter addresses anymore. Well, it thinks you can, but it only ever gives you park suggestions in the same state. So now I have to pick a park in the general direction just to have RV Life for surface streets then once I’m on the highway I have to switch over to Google Maps to get to the correct destination. I hope they fix it soon because it’s borderline useless right now (and I paid the $60 for it)
Too many useless emails
I gave RV Life a try. I really wanted to like them but quickly got tired of getting my inbox flooded with mostly useless advice and clickbait. I went back to Roadtripper for trip planning and Campendiim and Campspot for camping spots.

I bought a subscription for the safe rv routing feature. The mapping in this app is so clunky!

Clunkiest app ever
This is the clunkiest app I’ve ever tried. It seems like it hasn’t been upgraded in twenty years. It makes the easiest task so much more cumbersome than it needs to be. I wish I would have taken the time to look it over before the trial ended because I would’ve definitely opted out. I will not be renewing, that’s for sure. Save yourself the wasted time and money and go with something else, anything else.
I hate this app.
I hate this app, and the people who reply when you send suggestions are mediocre programmers. If these people had been employed in the IT department where my husband and I worked, they would have been fired. They also clearly don’t have a product tester because this app has so many bugs and poor usability. As a pro user who pays a fee to use their app, it’s highly disappointing.
It’s simple things that could easily be fixed. I just went to look at my Campground History and it’s missing my last two stays, even though they were weeks ago and are listed in my Trips section with dates. It’s highly annoying that you can’t click on the campground name from the Trips page when looking at your trip. This would be so simple to fix…and, yes, I say fix because it’s wrong that they didn’t do it the first time.
Their mapping is lousy. We tried it twice and the places it took us were ridiculous. My husband refuses to use it. He takes my trip plans and plugs them in elsewhere, and I don’t blame him.
I made a suggestion that a user’s review be put at the top, and the moron who replied said that they can’t put everyone’s review at the top. It was at this point that I realized that their programmers aren’t very smart. It would take just a few minutes to add some code that makes your reviews show at the top for just you. Many sites have that feature so that people can go back and see their reviews. Here, you can’t even tell if you’ve left a review or what your rating is. The fact that they didn’t even understand the request and tried to make me feel stupid made them look even more ignorant. Like I said, they would be fired. Honestly, they never would have been hired for our department.
These are just a few annoyances. This could be such a great app. The need a good programmer and a good product tester. Actually, I would happily do their product testing for free if they would just hire a good programmer. As a paid user, it’s disappointing that they don’t care and, in some cases, don’t even understand.

When using CarPlay the volume control is locked on voice and you can’t adjust the audio volume.

Everytime I try to get ready for a trip the app/ site can figure out who I am and is always trying to extort more money. It is very hard to get a real person!

Very difficult to locate the trip wizard and cannot find a phone number to get a real person to help. The volume of information appears to be there if I could navigate to it. Very disappointing so far
The GPS is terrible.
We were in Mesa,AZ and instead of it telling us to take I-10 east, it told us to take I-10 west, then make a U-turn. Fortunately, I saw this before the error.
Also, driving on I-10 thru Texas and New Mexico it kept telling us to exit onto the service road, then get back on the fwy, Numerous times!
The GPS portion is worse than GPS maps from the early 2,000’s.

Could be better
Could be better and seems over priced considering the value comes from the trip wizards which isn’t even RV Life but rather a rebranded integration with HereWeGo is a free app and isn’t as robust as Google, apple, or Waze.

Been using RV Life GPS for almost 5 years. While it’s not perfect, it offers peace of mind traveling in our big rig. Recently, I can no longer type in an address (i.e. a home address) and am forced to pick a campground to get me to the vicinity, but that doesn’t always work. Please fix this! IMO the best feature of this app is the GPS. If I’m not able to enter an address I will cancel my subscription.
Start Page
The Start Page is lacking. There isn’t anywhere that tells you how to directly access any upcoming trips that you have in order to edit the trips. It shows you the trips but not the entire map of the trip. After plodding around for 10 minutes I somehow found a way to access the info I was looking for. The entire app really needs to become more user friendly it’s pretty wonky right now. This is my second experience with RV LIFE
They want money
What I could not find when downloading this app was that to get the GPS feature, you have to pay $20 a month. Maybe ok for full time RV’ers but that ain’t me. 2 or 3 times a year, we take off for a couple weeks. Not interested in paying for a couple times a year use. Otherwise, it isn’t any better than Campendium.
