Hey dingalings - you can delete my reviews all you want but here’s a suggestion - instead of wasting everyone’s time with that nonsense why don’t you hire someone who can actually build an app that works? Why are you all stuck in the past ? What’s wrong with you? This app is TRASH. Have some standards.

Overly complex activation process. It has taken four calls, about an hour each, over the course of three weeks, with bank reps to try to get this app to work - and it is still not working!
Account security is important, but a non-working process renders the app and the related account useless.
It may be helpful for the bank to seek advice from effective digital banks in other countries where performance issues like this would lead to customer flight.

Selbst wenn diese App einwandfrei funktionieren würde, ist es unfassbar lästig damit zu arbeiten. Insgesamt ist das gesamte Online Banking der Sparkasse ja schon ein bisschen über die Schwelle rüber, bei der man sich sicher fühlt, man fühlt sich eher belästigt. Ein Zugewinn an Sicherheit ist nicht erkennbar, es ist einfach nur lästig.
Wie andere auch schon beschrieben haben, lässt sich diese App nicht auf ein neues Telefon übertragen, sie muss neu registriert werden. Das funktioniert selbstverständlich nicht mit den alten Zugangsdaten, man muss sich neue Daten schicken lassen, oder in der Filiale neue abholen.
In meinem Fall war es so, dass die korrekt eingerichtete App bei der nächsten Überweisung sofort wieder neu eingerichtet werden wollte. Laut Hotline gibt es Probleme mit iPhones, eine Lösung habe ich noch nicht.

Diese App ist sinnbildlich für dass gesamte Land zu sehen wobei durch Haarspalterei der Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr gesehen wird.

It was all fine until your ‘ error correcting’ update! Now it tells me that the app has been reset and I should make a fresh setup!
Highly unusual, but I did it ! Until I hit the security questions and the birthdate section refused to set the proper date! It jumped from the correct number (30) to 29 after I hit continue! Now it did that 3 times, which implies a major flaw in the software!
I have contacted my bank to send me a QR code and I hope it will work!

Einfach schrecklich unnötig kompliziert die App hergestellt. Sobald man außerhalb Deutschland die App nutzen will muss man ständig die Filiale kontaktieren für “hilfe” oh man o$ man!!!!! Schlimm!!!
Sparkasse really knows how to destroy any User Experience
I am trying to add my Sparkasse card to Apple Pay. (Yes I am living in Germany) Anyhow in order to do so you have to download the Sparkasse App!?! I didn’t want that App but I thought what the heck let’s do it. After downloading, installing and setting a Passwort for the app I wanted to enable Apple Pay in the settings. In order to do so I need to change my TAN method to their own Push TAN which requires me again to download another App?!? After downloading and installing and trying to set it up with another password you need to request a letter to get a barcode to do so?!? And that is where it stops and a bad UX becomes unacceptable. Just imagine that every service (online banking, phone wallet, home automation, smart key, postal service, public transportation, shared mobility service and so on) would demand us to install multiple Apps each with different passwords!!! We would have hundreds of apps on our phones and no-one can keep track of so many accounts. (Deleting old account data when not used anymore, updating passwords, checking the terms of use and so on). Someone who doesn’t get how this is bad is not able to provide a banking service in 2000 anymore.
SMS doesn’t connect to the app

After going step by step in the registration process I get an sms which is supposed to activate the app with my account but the link goes to a dead end on Sparkasse page.

The banking user experience here is a nightmare
Does not work
App does not even allow for password setup. Frozen on that page. No instructions provided. Strange that this is used by a leading financial institution.
Really bad
If you forget the password you have used for sign up, you will never ever be able to use this App on that device again. The only way to fix it is buying a new iPhone... and yes, I had deleted the app several times and reinstalled it.
Very annoying is the auto check out as well. If you want to make several transfers, and you are not incredibly fast, you will have to enter your password for every transaction. One of worst Apps I have ever used

Nightmare
I agree with the other review. Reset is really nightmare especially if you are or live abroad. After I got the application working, the app was updated automatically and I received a pop up that a new app is needed. When I installed the newer version, no TANs were listed and I need a new register Letter. And yes 3 weeks waiting. As I am abroad I do not have a German phone number so only a mailed letter will apply. A real nightmare!

Wost banking app ever !!!
I am now 3 months without access to my SK account. My TAN generator quit working. Now I got this app offered as a solution. In the Registrierungsbrief is a 6 digit password indicated to open the app. The app opens only with 8 + digits. After several tries the access is blocked again. Now I need a new R-Brief - 3 more weeks waiting! What a ridiculous system.

Completely ridiculous. Makes me consider changing my bank. I have not been able to online bank for 3 weeks now, as the app keeps messing things up, and each time I have to wait for a new registration letter to come in the post! Absolutely terrible.

The pushTAN app is a nightmare. It continuously doesn’t work and resets my password so that I had to register again. Endless calls with service support hotline. I honestly consider canceling my Sparkasse bank account. what’s the use of a bank account without online banking? Ugghhhh!

Doesn’t work at all. With letter code etc it just doesn’t generate/ receive tan codes. Endlessly frustrating and a disgrace.

Somehow the app go reset (maybe app update), so I was asked to request a new registration. But the process is broken, I can’t select my bank. I appreciate the thought for improved security, which for sure it is, since even I can’t use online banking right for my own account, but also it’s useless.

Diese app ist von Anfang bis Ende benutzerunfreundlich. Lebe in den USA und brauche ein deutsches Telefon um sie zu nutzen. Das sagt einem aber keiner bis man sein Pin Tan aufgeben hat. Unter Ios 12 schmiert die App dauernd ab so das sich seid Wochen keine Überweisung tätigen kann.

Stupidest App on the Planet
Worst customer support, worst bank employees, stupidest concept ever. If you have to take a photo of a QR code, create a password, open another app, input that password, then go back to another app to get another code, to input I to the other app. GERMANS ARE LITERALLY THE STUPIDEST PEOPLE ON THE PLANET. I shouldn’t have to work this hard to get access to my money. I cannot wait to close this account with such a dumb bank.

How should i know how much i have on my bank account, i need to have Sparkasse app and this one, wait, whaaaaaat. Are you serious, and you cannot normally register, login agh... it is not recommended and i repeat this app is not recommended to anyone

I am an IT person for 20 years and configure complex solutions but this thing makes me so mad everytime. There is just no way to redo config. My connection seems to be activated, i just never get the TAN. Horrible Horrible!!!!

This app makes me seriously consider finding a new bank. Registration is a nightmare, changing a forgotten password is so convoluted it’s incredible. Also, why would you make a separate app from the main Sparkasse app...have a chat with your product person, it’s a terrible experience.

Just integrate it into the regular app. This is a waste of time. Super complicated to install. Probably the worst banking app ever. You have to 1. down load the tan app too 2. Make a password 3. go to the local branch ask for a Qr code that is mailed to you. 4. wait 2 weeks then enter the password from step 2. 5. Scan Qr code. Sign up for online banking with different passwords (go back to the bank and wait for mail again.) 6. get tan texted to your phone. 7. Open app open the tan-app, open online banking. Enter passwords incorrectly and start over. This is an abomination of convenience

It works but switching phones is a hassle
This app does its thing but it is really not elegant. You can’t move your pushTAN ID to a new phone and you can’t delete any pushTAN connections. Switching phones means you will be offline until you receive a new registration letter.
