It has been happening for 3 + months. 1 day ago I just emailed them that to stop charging me and just now I got notification from my credit card of Salams charge! Now I have to dispute the charges call my credit card company.

On face time or snap they will record you while the person who you think you were talking to starts to undress while putting you in the mood and making you pose naked as well only to black mail you with the video and asking for $$$. The video is prerecorded and is on screen while the person in the back is waiting for you to be vulnerable. They will then do a quick background check thru and app and send it to all your employer and family members. They asked me for 7k told them they can keep it as I did nothing wrong and I was mocking them for it.

Tried it and 99% of the women were all without Hijab…mostly liberal Muslims…definitely not for anyone upon the Quran/Sunnah.
Travel mode removed
I’m temporarily in another city with a small population of Muslims for school. My home city where I will be moving back to has tons.
Because for whatever reason travel/passport mode was deemed unneccessary or not profitable, I’m stuck swiping on like all of 7 Muslimas here except for when I visit home.

Salams has major issues with its core functionality. The profile settings and filters do not work at all.
No matter how many times I set my preferences-age range, distance, marital history, ethnicity, language, career, etc.-the app keeps showing profiles that don’t match any of my selections. This isn’t a minor mismatch; it’s like the filters are completely ignored.

Don’t Waste Your Money on Premium; The App is Completely Broken
I used to really like this app, but it has completely gone downhill. If you are thinking about paying for Diamond Premium, save your money because the core features simply do not work anymore.
First off, the filters are completely broken. The main reason you pay for premium is to filter by ethnicity, distance, and language, but the app constantly shows you people way outside of your set preferences. And this isn't a case of "running out of people" in your area-the algorithm will just randomly throw in people from outside your filters, then go back to your actual preferences, making the whole system incredibly frustrating to navigate. Without working filters, the premium membership is completely worthless.
On top of that, they completely removed the anti-ghosting feature for Diamond members, which was one of the few benefits actually worth paying for. The new interface is terrible and a huge step backward. You can no longer keep track of people’s saved profiles to message them later, and there’s absolutely no record of who you liked or favorited. You just swipe into a void.
To make matters worse, customer service is non-existent. I’ve reached out with complaints about these bugs and missing features, and I've gotten zero response. It genuinely feels like the developers deliberately want their own app to suffer and fail. Until they fix the filters and bring back basic usability, I highly recommend staying away from their paid tiers.

Reached out to customer support about filters/preferences not working. They told me we removed that feature and to either deal with it or ask for a refund. Why even have it on the app if it doesn’t work. Was a past gold member but as soon as the app was bought went down hill.

There are no explanations for how to navigate. There are no explanations for what the icons mean.
There are also a large amount of romance, scammers and fake profiles. They are easy to spot, but unfortunately, for some people they will not be easy to spot, and it really puts our brothers and sisters at risk. You need to do more to combat that problem. You are the gate it seems that you’re failing. And again, your navigation is a mess. Fraudulent app
I canceled my subscription a week before renewal date and deleted the app because I did not find it useful at all. You have to pay for everything even after buying a subscription. 90% of the users seems to be either bots or not looking for a serious marriage. Many of them seem to be here with a hookup mindset or seeking clout. The app does not offer a feature to see whom you’ve liked unless they like you back. They market diamond subscription to have unlimited rewinds but thats completely false. You hardly get one maybe two rewinds if you are lucky. I do not recommend this app. Its being operated my frauds who are looking to get money out of users even after canceling the subscription.

When you like some profile they want you to send a super like that you have to pay extra and obviously those are bots just to make money on you.

This has become the worst app on the entire planet. Tinder acquired the app and destroyed it. Before that, it was one of the greatest UI UX apps out there, and it was Muslim owned! Now it tweaks, glitches, and is primed to waste your time, keeping you running in algorithmic circles

I purchased a one-year Gold membership and regretted it an hour later. I emailed customer service but received no response, and I'm trying to cancel my membership but it's not working... I joined this app with sincere intentions as a practicing Muslim looking for a serious, halal marriage. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Many of the profiles I encountered did not reflect practicing Muslims, which defeats the purpose of using a faith-based platform.
On top of that, the pricing structure feels excessive. You already pay $34.99 per month for membership, yet you must pay additional fees just to see messages, receive messages, or send “super likes.” It feels like every meaningful interaction requires another payment.

Slow app
I don’t know what upgrade they did but the version is so bad, it takes forever to load the app and they don’t even send you notifications sometimes. Some conversations which goes well can turn into unmatch if the notifications are not received on time. Very disappointed.

Matches Can’t See My Profile While I can see them
This is the worst app I’ve ever seen. The customer support response is so slow and the app has a lot more f glitch. Suddenly stopped showing my profile to matches as if I had unmatched them.
Annoying app
The app sends you those automated notifications every 5 minutes even though i have it where i want those notifications silenced. Also, they ignore all preferences. Ex. I have it setup where i only want to see matches that are within 50 miles of me. However, every profile is 250 miles away. I also have preferences on which sects i want to match with. However, they display every single profile. In other words, those preferences that you choose are nothing but buttons. I deleted the app and i downloaded “Salams”. Its a very “Meh” app.

It’s a beautiful app but no a lot of scammers are on here and they try to have you invest in crypto I just got scammed for 3k and I can’t believe people video calls talk about Islam and can be like that the app needs to have id verification and people should not be able to match unless they verify their id
